A native of northern Michigan, Dr. Jason Martin received his undergraduate degree fromGrand Valley State University. He spent the years between 1996 and 2000 in the Air Force, and went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from theUniversity of Michiganin 2006. He has since been practicing in Ludington. Dr. Martin chose dentistry as profession because he always knew he wanted to serve people, and that he would be doing so in the medical profession. Dentistry fits his personality well, and he believes it is it is truly wonderful to be able to care for others and change lives in so many ways.
Since conferment of his dental degree, Dr. Martin has continued advancing his knowledge through hundreds of hours of continued education. He has also received specialized training in the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants. Dr. Martin is especially passionate about the oral-systemic connection, and how it relates to getting people healthy. He is interested in how dental health is related to complete, whole health, and how it serves as an important part in preventing many chronic diseases. He loves being part of a community that focuses on preventing diseases, not reacting to them.You can be assured of his knowledge and proficiency of care.
Jason Schlueter, DDS Dr. Jason Schlueter grew up on a cherry farm in northern Michigan. He received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan. Dr. Schlueter chose the profession of dentistry because he wanted to serve people and have a positive effect on their everyday lives. Dentistry fits Dr. Schlueters personality well and he enjoys interacting with people every day. Dr. Schlueter is passionate about the effect that oral health has on overall health, and its role in preventing many chronic diseases. He enjoys being a part of a group of people that believes in preventing diseases before they become issues. Dr. Schlueter believes in using the latest technology and a minimally invasive approach to achieve optimal oral health for his patients.
My name is Liz, and Im one of the dental hygienists here at Lakewinds Dental Centre. I have truly enjoyed getting to know my many patients and friends here at the office. Aside from providing the best dental care that I can, my favorite parts of this job are the patients that I meet every day! Prior to beginning my career here in Ludington, I graduated from Ferris State University in 2014, where I completed my studies and clinical training with high honors.
Originally, I moved from the rural farming community of Michigans Thumb, where my family still lives, and I visit often nothing I enjoy more than being back on the farm! In my spare time, I enjoy playing the piano and organ for my church and getting outside to enjoy just about every activity Michigan has to offer, with cross-country skiing being one of my favorites.
Sophie has been with our practice since 2016, and she loves helping our patients get healthy and live wonderful lives. She is a great advocate for improving the overall health of patients by getting their mouths as healthy as possible. Sophie went to high school at Mason County Central and attended college at Ferris State University. She has been married to her husband, Jim, since 1992, and together they have three wonderful children: Kalee, David, and Jean. In her leisure time, Sophie enjoys spending time with family and friends, and sitting in the sunshine while reading.
Becky joined our dental family in May of 2017. She has a bachelors degree in dental hygiene from Ferris State University and loves educating patients about oral hygiene. Her favorite part of working for Lakewinds Dental is the great strides we take in preventive care. Becky has a husband, Tyler, and in her free time, she enjoys spending time at the family cottage.
Robyn returned to the Lakewinds team in 2019 after graduating with high honors from Ferris State University. What Robyn enjoys most when serving the community with the Lakewinds Dental team, is building relationships with her patients and aiding them in improving their health through next level care. As a Ludington Native, Robyn likes to stay active with all of the outdoor activities the area has to offer, and she enjoys spending time with her family.
Mel has been a wonderful addition to the team since 2018. Her favorite part about being a dental assistant is being able to build meaningful, lasting relationships with our patients. She grew up in Fountain, Michigan, and currently is enjoying the farm life with her husband, son and chocolate lab.
Mya has been with Lakewinds Dental since 2011, and she enjoys coming in each day and having the opportunity to make our patients healthier and happier. She truly enjoys what she does and loves being a part of such an amazing team. Myas hobbies include yoga, running and eating/cooking healthy.
Rylyn joined the Lakewinds family in September 2020. Her favorite part of being a dental assistant is watching her patients fall in love with their smiles. She grew up in a small town, Middleville. She then moved to her favorite place, Silver Lake where she built a tiny house. She enjoys spending time with her family and enjoys the summer sunshine.
Taylor graduated from Mason County Central in 2012 and joined Lakewinds Dental in 2014. She loves building friendships with our patients while getting them healthy and confident. Taylor delights in being part of a whole health practice that goes above and beyond to provide the utmost in care and comfort. She contributes to our success by helping our patients treatment plans align with their lifestyles. Taylor spends most of her free time with her family, as well as doing yardwork and enjoying the outdoors. She also owns three horses and has been riding since she was nine.
Daniell joined the team in 2019 after returning to the area after two years on the East Coast. Working with patients to give them a positive and memorable experience is the most rewarding part of her job. Her goal is to improve the health of our entire community one patient at a time. She graduated from The Savannah College of Art and Design in 2016 with a BFA. Daniell spends her free time trying to keep up with her Border Collie and using her design degree to renovate homes in the area. Any time she can be outside in the sunshine is utilized to its fullest.
Britney is grateful to be a part of the incredible Lakewinds Dental team and community. She looks forward to brightening your smile with a warm welcome and sincere empathy. Britney went to elementary school in Ludington then moved to Grand Rapids, where she graduated from Forest Hills Central High School. After two years of college, she moved to Aspen, Colorado, to be a nanny. Her Aspen adventures included paragliding, hiking and skiing. She moved back to Ludington in 2008 where she married her husband. They have two boys and the whole family enjoys bonfires, camping and fishing. The lake brings her peace and fond memories so she is thankful to live and work in beautiful Ludington, Michigan.
Meghan moved to Hart from Grand Rapids in 2021. Meghan is a licensed Esthetician and has worked in the medical field for the last 7 years. She is so excited to join the innovative and compassionate team at Lakewinds Dental. Meghan loves to see how dentistry helps people find confidence in their smile and how oral health can change lives. Meghan enjoys reading, gardening, adventuring with her fianc and spending time with her family and 3 cats, Foxy, Ursula and Jafar.
Rebecca is a Michigan native who moved back home after 25 years of living in Tennessee and the Carolinas. She feels very lucky to be part of the Lakewinds Dental team. She loves working with such a positive, professional team that values patient care and experience over everything else. During her time off, she enjoys hiking in the state park, reading, Americana music, cats and Lake Michigan.
