Titanium is biocompatible and has been used in other medical areas as well, such as knee and hip replacement. So yes, it is very safe and is not linked to any health issues. If you have titanium allergy, this should be discussed with your doctor.
It will allow you to regain your smile and eat whatever you like without having any additional treatment done on your neighboring teeth. Depending on your specific case, an implant may not be a better choice for tooth replacement but if you are a good candidate, an implant is as close as it gets to your natural tooth.
The word permanent is really meant to describe something very long term that continues on into the foreseeable future. Implants can last you a lifetime if great care is taken during placement; if you have a meticulous dental home care; if you maintain your regular dental recall visits; and if you are in good health.
Implants can be placed in patients as young as 16 years old as well as in patients in their 90s. Overall, you must be in good health, have sufficient bone, good oral health, and are medically healthy enough. If you suffer from chronic problems such as severe clenching and systemic diseases such as diabetes, the success rate for implants decreases. Talk to your dentist about whether or not you are a good candidate for an implant.
Its important not to apply pressure on the site. The implant needs to remain stable for proper healing. Eat soft foods for a few days. Avoid foods that can cause irritation; such as spicy foods, hard to eat snacks, chewy foods, etc. We will provide you with very detailed instructions.
Implants need to be examined just like natural teeth. Brushing and flossing are very important and will keep the gum tissue healthy, but your dentist also needs to examine there is no bone loss and that the implant components are not loose. Any loosened screw will be subjected to unnecessary stress and will eventually fracture and possibly render the implant hopeless.
Currently there is no recognized implant specialty. Some specialty degree programs teach implant placement in addition to their main specialty training. For example, a periodontist typically deals with all sorts of gum surgeries, but they are also trained to place implants as it does go very well hand in hand with their gum surgery training. Dentists who do not receive formal implant surgery training can either take a one year long full-time implant residency or take part-time hands on CE classes over the course of the years. Dr. Hassan, our periodontist, has many years of experience successfully placing implants for our patients.
The procedure itself doesnt hurt because anesthetic is administered. The majority of our patients are surprised as to how comfortable placing an implant can be. Most patients have minimal post-op discomfort, while a few others describe it to be similar to a previous tooth extraction. Most cases also involve tooth extraction which obviously causes additional discomfort; as a result, some patients have a tendency to blame the actual implant placement procedure to be the cause of pain but in reality, it is the tooth extraction. We always do our best to keep you as comfortable as possible during your entire treatment length.
A surgical guide is a custom fabricated appliance that resembles a night guard. During the surgery, it is seated over your teeth just like a night guard. It acts as a guide that allows the surgeon to have more control over the exact implant positioning and angulation. This will provide the best possible restorative outcome. Not every single case will require a guide. We always try not to burden our patients with additional expenses but sometimes the use of a guide is a must.
An implant is not always the best option to replace a missing tooth. We always carefully evaluate each specific case and recommend appropriate treatment. Assuming your specific case is equally suitable for an implant or bridge, there are pros and cons to each treatment:

I went for a second opinion on a procedure I found would be a bit expensive. Everyone was pleasant and helpful from front desk to dentist. Although they could not offer a better price I was given several alternatives and everything was thoroughly explained. I was not even charged for visit!

I have been a patient of Dr. Ghodsi for over 20 years. He has always been, professional, compassionate and thorough. I drive 50 miles to see him. Wouldn't dream of changing doctors. Reception is always friendly and efficient. The office is spotless. Cant say enough positive things.

I would love to thank the entire staff at Lakeview Dental, as my appointments have been amazing! From the greeting, to my departure and all in between!!! Very professional, but fun, especially for a trip to the dentist goes... I have to also mention that my last visit, I met a family on the way out who were making follow up appointments, and they all were happy and smiling like they had a great experience, so I thought that was pleasant. Thanks Lakeview!!!

Everything and everyone was perfect! The offices are bright and modern. Naomi the receptionist was very friendly as was Lizbet the hygienist and Dr Ghodsi was pleasant and very involved in my first appointment. I felt very comfortable there and believe I will be getting expert care going forward.

Dr Ghodsi is wonderful. I let him know at my first visit that I'm terrified of dentists and he was so kind and understanding. I also had work done with Dr Hassan who also was very understanding. They are both gentle and pleasant and the receptionist and assistant are also pleasant to deal with. This is the best dental experience I had and I won't go anywhere else! I would give them 10 stars if I could.

What a professional dental practice. I am beyond astonished by the initial experience before even stepping foot into their door. My husband and I have been on a hunt for 1+ years for the best dentist for our family. Through a list of 12 dentists, who were all recommended, I did not approve of any of them and the hunt continued. When I called this practice, the receptionist was so friendly, helpful, professional and patient. She even followed up! When I went in for my actual appointment, I was beyond impressed by the cleanliness of the office, the waiting room, the bathroom, and the hygienist room. The doctor was incredible, the experience, phenomenal, and I was blown away. I can't say enough wonderful things about the overall experience before and during my visit here. In all my life living in South Florida, as a native Floridian, I have never had the privilege of such an experience. This is one exceptional dentist and practice!! Others should follow their lead in the industry. My husband is now ecstatic for his visit in 2 weeks. Thank you.

Very good dentist. I had a crown break, he had me come right in for an exam and then gave me a couple of options. Explained very clearly the pros and cons of each and the price. Staff was very friendly also. Would definitely recommend.

I found Dr. Ghodsi through google and I'm glad I did. My lower front tooth broke off and Dr. Ghodsi fixed it by reattaching the broken part. It looks great and you can hardly tell it broke off! He is very skilled and professional! I''m very happy that I can smile again. The office is beautiful and immaculate Highly recommended to family and friends!

Friday night my temporary crown came off and I realized the molar underneath was badly damaged and I would need an emergency extraction the next morning. Due to the pandemic and it being a Saturday, every dentist office in my area was booked and refused to see me. I took chance and went to Lakeview Dental who was also booked but Dr. Ghodsi squeezed me in right away and the extraction took less than 10 minutes. The entire staff was very polite and welcoming. The dental assistant stayed by my side to assure that I was comfortable throughout the entire process. Dr. Ghodsi was easy to talk to and the the procedure was completely pain free. I highly recommend Lakeview Dental and I will definitely return for all my dental needs.

Great office! Wonderful staff, extremely clean office. Dr. Ghodsi is a very honest and thorough dentist. I use to always get nervous going to a dental office but the staff here makes you feel at ease. 10/10 recommended !
