To make your visit as stress-free as possible, we make sure you have a comfortable waiting area before your visit, comfortable exam chairs for during your visit, as well as your choice of instant movies and TV shows to keep you entertained throughout your procedure.
Because accidents & emergencies happen, we encourage our patients to call right away if they are experiencing an emergency. If you experience an emergency outside of office hours, we even offer our patientsthe doctors cell phone number so that your problem can be addressed as soon as possible.
Dr. Adelakun grew up in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago and graduated from Roald Amundsen High School. Continuing his education, he graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago, with a bachelors of science in mechanical engineering and a minor in mathematics. After working several years as a mechanical engineer in the nuclear power plants industry, Dr. Adelakun returned to his alma mater to embark on a new career in dentistry. In 2009, he was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree by the UIC College of Dentistry.
While in dental school, Dr. Adelakun distinguished himself by conducting research on dental materials. In a paper titled, Tensile, 3 and 4 point bend, bond strength determination, Dr. Adelakun explored the bond strengths on various composite materials; these restorative materials are widely used in dentistry to replace decayed and missing tooth structures. In addition to excelling in his studies, Dr. Adelakun was among the few top students whowere chosen, based on clinical skills, to spend half of his senior year working at low income clinics in the Chicago area instead of working in school. During this time, he did residency in three pediatric and AIDS clinics in Chicago and in Lake County.
Dr. Adelakun is very passionate about his profession. He loves the science of dentistry and has traveled all over the nation to continue his education and learn from the best in the field. He isactively pursuing continuing education in the areas of cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, and oral & implant surgery. Dr. Adelakun is certified in 6-month smile orthodontics as well as Invisalign clear removable aligners. He is also an active member of theAmerican Dental Association, National Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Association of Endodontists, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

I, for one, am TERRIFIED of the dentist and feel as though I'd have avoided a lot of dental pain and costly procedures if I had found Dr. Adelakun from the very start. He is amazing!!! Straight to the point, very thorough, and checks for any dental issues regardless of what appointment brought you to him that very day. For instance, I went in for a crown procedure and while in the process of completing it, he also performed a filling on a nearby tooth. I love his work and I love who he is as a dentist. I'd definitely recommend him for anyone needing a general dentist to more extensive dental work. I can't give enough praise. All dentists should be like him. Oh and his staff is top notch from my many visits. The office is clean and makes you feel comfy. Definitely visit and schedule your upcoming appointments with him.

Amazing staff, they are polite and answers all questions you may have. They are bilingual wish is great for people who doesn't speak English. The waiting room is awesome and clean. I would recommend this place .

This dental office is really nice and clean .I love the way the dental assistant Nessa treated me she was very attentive with my care and explained everything. Very friendly and professional staff . They also have state of the art equipment... Even though is was a bit of a ride . I will definitely be going back.

The best dental experience I've ever had. The staff is helpful, friendly, and totally upfront about costs, insurance, and payment options. The dentist is incredibly communicative, attentive, and does amazing work. You're also spoken to like a person with nuanced needs and resources, which I really appreciate. Would highly recommend, especially to those that have anxiety about visiting the dentist.

The office staff is very nice and friendly. I came in for a cleaning, and Dr. Al was delightful; he explained all that was going on, and a week later, I went back to get braces. Appointments were a breeze, and I look forward to working with Dr. Al and his staff. I highly recommend them.
