Dr. Rick received his dental degree in 1986 fromthe University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Medical Dental Center where he earned the Outstanding Clinician Award. He has earned many awards and special achievements since that time and has since completed thousands of hours of continuing education. He has attended numerous privately sponsored advanced training programs, which keeps him highlyskilled in the latest dental techniques and technology. Dr. Rick especially enjoys treatments that involve dental implants as well as surgical procedures such as tissue grafting and wisdom tooth removal.
Dr. Rick is actively involved in community affairs. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Washington County Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. He also participates and is a member of the National Dental Practice Based Research Network (NDPBRN). He has hosted guest lecturers for the ADA, AGD and numerous other local dental societies. He is an active member of Medical Teams International volunteering on their dental vans. During National Childrens Dental Health month, he educates children at the local primary schools in our community and enjoys working with youth sports teams.
Dr. Rick has been married for 40 years to his wife Kari and is the father of four children, Travis, Lindsey, Ashley, and Taylor and grandfather to 11 grandchildren. He enjoys the outdoors byrafting, fishing, backpacking, skiing, farming and traveling.
Dr. Travis graduated in 2009 fromBoston University School of Dental MedicineMagna Cum Laude. He earned the Outstanding Achievement & Excellence Award for Patient and Practice Management and was the only recipient in the University to receive the Outstanding award in Endodontics. He participates in the highest level of clinical dentistry and is abreast of the most effective and up to date treatments available. He enjoys Endodontics (root canals) and enjoys doingInvisalignOrthodontics for whom he is a designated provider. Dr Travis frequently tests and evaluates new dental technology forADEC- the worlds largest dental manufacturer based in Newberg, OR.
Dr. Travis was raised in Portland, Oregon and is a graduate of West Linn High School. He is fluent in Spanish and has been ondental humanitarian tripsto central Mexicotreating Tarahumara Indians. He is a member of theADAandODA.Dr. Travis enjoys educating children at local schoolsin our community during NationalChildren'sDental Health Monthand presenting public health education to Senior Citizens.
Dr. Travis has been married for 17 years to his wife, Liz. They have four children Calvin (15), Miles (13), Alexa (10) and Addison (9). He loves spending time with his family, especially teaching and coaching youth sports. Dr. Travis also is involved with the future of Tualatin, serving on the city'sTask Force. He enjoys biking, playing basketball, and fishing.
Linda:has been a hygienist in our office for over 30 years! Linda lives in Tualatin with her husband Mike and her dog Harley Quinn. Linda continues to exercise and enjoys spending time with her four grandchildren. We appreciate her thoroughness and dedication to dentistry and her genuine kindness.
Rita: has worked in our office for four years and brings 25 years of dental hygiene experience. Shelives in West Linn with her son Hunter (20). Rita enjoys her career and is passionate and enthusiastic about her periodontal and hygiene role. She enjoys many wonderful outdoor activities that Oregon has to offer including hiking, biking and skiing.
Tessa-She has been with us for 5 years and brings 16 years of dental experience to our team. She has a daughter, Paislee (4) and a son Tyler (21). Tessa actively cheers for the Seattle Seahawks and has a strong passion for boating.
Megan- She is our energetic influence for positive office activity. She has been a dental assistant for 11 years. And has her sights on achieving the Restorative Functions certificate, the newest and highest skills level an assistant can attain. She lives in Tualatin with her daughter Ruby (12). Megan enjoys being fit and loves her music and pop culture.
Julie- As a dental assistant for 20+ years, she is always happy to help our patients. She is a mother of a 12 year old son and a 5 year old pug. She has been in a committed relationship for many years and together they have two beautiful children and life that they are building together.
Melissa -started working at the office when Dr. Rick first started dentistry 36 years ago! She lives in Tigard and has 2 grown sons, Ian (23) and Sam (21). In her free time she enjoys taking long walks around the lake in her neighborhood. Melissa was a dental assistant prior to her patient coordination position now. You will appreciate her professionalism and dental skills. If you have received a communication from our office it was likely from Melissa.

I called a Hail Mary to get my chipped tooth fixed on a Saturday. Mind you I am not even a patient of theirs. I cannot express the warm Welcome I received as well as high level care. Needless to say I am switching dentists and will be their permanent patient. I highly recommend. Reminds me of my childhood dentist experience.

It's hard to find a dentist you trust, but this is one. I always get good service and feel very comfortable, even during bigger surgeries. I highly recommend this dentist.

Our whole family loves Lakeside Family Dentistry. Dr. Rick removed my oldest daughter's wisdom teeth this year. He was so very helpful in his consultation, and exceeded my expectations in the post-removal recovery process. Dr. Travis did invisalign for me, and I'm so very excited about my new smile!! My family have been patients of Lakeside Family Dentistry for almost 25 years and have recommended many current patients. The entire staff is extremely professional and friendly. From the moment you enter the office the receptionists, Melissa and Kris, provide a cheerful greeting to checkout it is always a pleasant appointment. Diana is an excellent dental hygienist. Thank you Dr Travis Evans!! We were visiting family over Christmas break from out of town and our sons pallet expander was causing him pain the night before Christmas Eve. Dr Evans took time away from his family and came in Christmas Eve morning, even though we aren't patients of his. We thought we would have to cut out the palet expander, but Travis cleaned it really well, saving us a costly replacement of the expander with our orthodontist. Thank you again!!!
