Dr. Aimee Sims is originally from the Chicago land area. She completed her undergraduate education in Biology at Nova Southeastern University in 2015, where she ran 4 years of Track & Field and Cross Country. Dr. Sims received her dental degree at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 2019. In addition to her formal education, she continues to seek out continuing education courses in order to provide her patients with the latest advances in dentistry. Her philosophy is to provide quality care in a warm, comfortable environment, maintain the highest standards of practice and strive for perfection in all aspects of dentistry.
Dr. Sims is an active member of the American Dental Association and Xi Psi Phi Dental Fraternity. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, and teaching her dog, Elmo, new tricks.
Raised in Rochester, Dr. Gores graduated from Creighton University in 1979 and the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1983. Because he never gets quite enough of learning about dentistry, he is a member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, and local dental societies. He lives in Rochester with his wife, Lulu.
One-on-one relationship building with his patients is his favorite part of the job. He likes to foster a family feel among his patients and his team. He has patients who practically grew up at Lakeside Dentistry and now bring in their own kids for dental treatment. He enjoys seeing their families grow.
It is no coincidence that patients of Lakeside Dentistry enjoy a lakeside view. Dr. Gores enjoys paddling on local lakes in a kayak or canoe. Like many Minnesotans, he cant get enough of the outdoors. He is also a skier and cyclist.

Aimee Sims fixed my chipped tooth and did a wonderful job. The office is really nice and they are careful with your teeth and budget. Excellent experience and I'm moving my family to Lakeside.

From childhood experiences many many years ago, visiting the dentist always filled me with apprehension. Finding Lakeside Dentistry, Dr. Scott and her excellent team, has shown me a visit to the dentist does not have to be something to dread. The care is top notch and done in a caring manner! Everything is explained clearly, options are discussed and suggestions are offered. I highly recommend Lakeside Dentistry.

It's honestly one of the best places for dental work in Rochester. Dr. Scott is honestly the best; not only is she amazing at what she does, but she is also very, very down-to-earth, kind, encouraging, gentle, welcoming, and warm. The staff is super friendly, too and the office always looks clean and is comfortable. My family and I have been going to Dr. Scott since I was a young kid, probably about 20 years, and she's ALWAYS been incredible at what she does. I've been getting composite resin veneers from her since early middle school and her work has only been getting better, it's so symmetrical to my other front tooth that no body can tell it's a veneer. (One tip, if you're a coffee or tea drinker, make sure you ask for the composite resin veneer to be a shade or even two lighter than your other teeth haha, it gets stained very quickly and it's a deep stain so the only way to get it out is either dental polishing which can destroy the shape of the veneer or to just get a new veneer altogether.)
