Dr. Sandras is passionate about dentistry and keeping up with all the latest technologies. He is certified in C02 Laser Dentistry and CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramic). In 2020, he was voted Best Dentist in Tuscaloosa County by patients in a contest hosted by Tuscaloosa News.
Dr. Sandras was born and raised on the West Bank of New Orleans. He has wanted to be a dentist since he was in the 6th grade. Dr. Sandras has owned several practices over the years including his current practice, a very successful practice in New Orleans, and a practice on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. His practice on the Gulf Coast was one of the most successful dental practices in the area for 15 years, but sadly, in 2005, Hurricane Katrina destroyed the entire region. After six months of living in what felt like a disaster area and lots of research, prayer, and traveling to various cities, Dr. Sandras decided it was in his children's best interest to move - which is how he came to reside in Tuscaloosa!
Dr. Sandras is an avid sports fan and loves that Tuscaloosa is a college town with an emphasis on sports. He also adores the beautiful lakes, rivers, and rolling hills, as well as the warm and welcoming community. In Dr. Sandras' free time, he enjoys aviation (he is an instrument rated pilot with over 1,000 hours of flying time and several other aircraft type ratings, including a license to fly seaplanes!) He also enjoys playing golf, tennis, and watching SEC football.
