Dr. Alan Topham is originally from Salt Lake City. After completing a two-year service mission for his church in South Korea, Dr. Topham returned to Salt Lake City, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Medical Biology from the University of Utah. He then entered the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Following dental school, Dr. Topham gained valuable training and expertise during a general practice residency at Veterans Affairs Hospital in Dallas. He then practiced for two years as the lead dentist in a corporate dental clinic in San Antonio.
While working at the corporate chain, Dr. Topham came to realize that he wanted to be able to provide his patients with more personal attention than the corporate dentistry model allows. He determined to acquire and manage a private practice where hed be able to provide each patient with the time and attention they deserve. After months of searching, he jumped at the opportunity to acquire Lakeside Dental in September of 2013.
Dr. Topham is thrilled to call Reno home! When hes not in the office treating his patients, he enjoys traveling, biking, going to movies, and spending quality time with his wife Whitney, and their three young children.

Always friendly staff. Always get in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Definitely make going to the dentist better than other places I've gone in the past. Recommend highly.

Everyone in the dental office is so friendly and kind. I don't like to go to the dentist, but the experience is much better when I'm being able to be around this amazing people. I brought all my family to Lake Side Dental, because I trust Dr. Topham, he is very professional and he knows what he is doing

For years I have been SO happy going to the office of Dr. Topham. The staff, the hygienists, and the doctor himself are so kind and honest. Everyone makes sure you are comfortable and relaxed. I truly enjoy visiting the dentist! The office has a very welcoming atmosphere. If you are searching for a new dentist, I highly recommend this one!

I have an extreme fear of the dentist. But Dr. Topham and his staff all make me so comfortable and communicate everything they are doing before they do it. I will not go to another dentist, EVER! I highly recommend Lakeside Dental.

My entire experiance was wonderful at Lakeside Dental! From the moment I walked in the front door, to when I left, I felt so welcomed and was treated like family. I have been to many dentists all in different states, and NONE compare to the professional, efficient, and fun-loving atmosphere that this practice has cultivated. I am so lucky to be treated here!

I lost a crown on the New Year's holiday. I received a call quickly from Dr. Topham to make sure I was okay. I was scheduled to fix it quickly. He was able to use the old crown making the process simple. The office is always friendly when I come in. Bring dog treats to make a new friend.
