Dr. Silva earned his DDS degree, with a specialization in prosthodontics, from the University of Itauna in Brazil in 1995 and he went on to earn his DMD, with top honors, from NOVA Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale in 2012. While at NOVA, he earned several awards from the American Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and the Academy of Osseointegration for his excellence in prosthodontics. Upon graduating, Dr. Silva successfully completed a one year Implant Fellowship program at NOVA and went on to present hundreds of documented implant cases to the Board of Examiners at the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, earning him the prestigious designation of Diplomate. His country of origin is Brazil, where he specialized in cosmetic dentistry and prosthodontics in his own dental office for eight years. Dr. Gonzalez actually never thought about being a dentist as a child, but as she grew older and learned about anatomy and physiology, she became more and more interested in healthcare. Her mother always complimented her smile, and it made her feel good about herself. Eventually, she realized how rewarding it could be to help others feel the same way about their smiles and the rest is history!
After graduating from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Dr. Gonzalez achieved her dental doctorate at the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis. Since then, she has continued her education through prestigious organizations like Spear and the American Academy of General Dentistry, where she has been an active member since college. She is also a certified Invisalign provider. Some of her other professional memberships include the American Dental Association and Florida Dental Association.
Dr. Gonzalez and her husband are originally from Cuba, but they won a visa lottery in 1999 and were able to start a new life in the United States. Today, they have one young son and a senior dog at home. In her spare time, she really enjoys exploring new things with her son, visiting extended family, and watching movies.
