Dr. Layton was born in Alabama and grew up in Orlando. He received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and his DMD degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1987. He opened Lakeshore Dental Care in 1989.
A native Floridian, Ginger has more than 30 years of experience in the dental field. Her clinical experience as a dental assistant and administrative skills keep our busy office personalized to meet the individual needs of our patients. Ginger enjoys gardening, her chickens, and loving her grandchildren.
Originally joining the office as a high school intern, Heather is now a seasoned veteran. Heathers friendly personality helps patients feel welcomed and accommodated. Heather keeps close tabs on the office to make sure everything is running smoothly. Patients love her friendly personality, and Heather loves interacting with them.
A native of Trinidad, Zohas over 20 years of experience in the dental field. She works extremely hard on our patients behalf in regards to finances, insurance, and scheduling. She is passionate about helping patients get the care that they need. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and visiting her family in Trinidad.
Janae uses her many years of dental experience to help explain dental procedures and concerns to her patients. Janaes gentle demeanor provides a personal touch. She enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
Raised in Key West, FL, Serena completed her dental hygiene training at Daytona State College. She establishes an environment of genuine care and trust with all of our patients. She is recognized by patients for her caring attitude, attention to detail, and gentle touch.
Tammy is originally from Michigan. She completed her dental training in Orlando in 1991. She enjoys getting to know her patients as individuals and provides comforting care during their treatment. In her free time, she enjoys creating fused glass art and spending time with her family.
Alfie (Silkspuns Whats It All About Alfie) is an English distinction Golden Retriever. He makes it his mission to ensure that our patients are welcomed with affection and comforted if anxious. Alfie brightens everyones day!

It was a great day for my mouth and teeth. It was my initial meeting with the staff. They were solicitous of my comfort and concerns. There was no pain involved. They kept asking if I wanted a blanket. I was never left trying to find out why I was still waiting. Everyone was very nice

If you want perfection, no pain dentistry, quality and very knowledgeable staff and professional in every way, then Dr Michael Layton and Lakeshore Dental is "top shelf" and your place for dental care. My family have been patients for years so I speak with experience. I am a retired dental hygienist educated at University of Florida, also Dr Layton's alma mater at UF College of Dentistry. Choose Lakeshore Dental! You can't go wrong,the big bonus of farm fresh eggs. available from Dr L! !! And sweet Tammy sells hand made glass jewelry and other various items such as Christmas ornaments that I love to collect and a wonderful collection of earring's and pendants. Our most recent visit was a consultation with Dr Layton about teeth extractions, treating gum disease (with deep scaling, root planing with local anesthesia and nitrous oxide, aka laughing gas which you breathe in through a nose piece). This makes the experience painless and comfortable for anxiety about treatment. Also purchased was a new toothbrush package called the Oral-B iO rechargeable Toothbrush. The price was much much cheaper than purchasing in the stores. This is "the Bomb" compared to others. If you can, BUY IT!! My smile was always partially hidden because I was self-conscious about my upper front teeth. At age 75 I was also concerned about the longer term care that would be required to maintain them as there was over-lapping of the teeth. Dr. Layton suggested crowns. He did 4 and WOW! I am no longer self-conscious about my smile. In fact just the opposite. Dr. Layton and his assistants took the time to make sure the color and fit were excellent. Kudos to their lab also. I could not have had a better experience from any other dental practice. I was always comfortable and pain free throughout the entire weeks long process. Best place ever, would give more stars if I could. Although it is an hour drive for us, our family has been faithfully returning to Dr. Layton's place since many years and will continue to do so ... Best dentist we ever had, very friendly staff, spic and span clean surroundings, highly recommend !

Dr. Layton and his staff are so kind! Like a lot of people, going to the dentist brings on anxiety but they are so caring and understanding of my feelings. They're very professional and knowledgeable about the lengthy procedure I need to have done. Also, Alfie the dog is truly therapeutic

We can all admit that dental visits can be daunting. I had a new patient visit with my Hygienist, Michelle, for a cleaning. She was personable and explained everything along the way. Even though I didn't have an appointment with the dentist today, Dr. Layton made a point to come in and introduce himself and welcome me as a new patient. The personalized customer service from everyone including Heather and Janae in reception made me feel very welcomed and I'm looking forward to my next visit!
