Dr. Estee Wang was born and raised in Silicon Valley of the San Francisco Bay Area and loves living in Minnesota! Dr. Wang grew up with the childhood dream of becoming an orthodontist, the perfect combination of art and science. For her undergraduate education, she attended the University of California, Berkeley where she majored in both French Literature and Molecular and Cell Biology. Dr. Wang received her dental training from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine during which she spent an additional year performing genetic and craniofacial research with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. She then went on to receive her orthodontic training and Masters degree at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Wang is a board-certified orthodontist, a voluntary certification by the American Board of Orthodontists that requires passing a rigorous written exam and an oral examination with presentation of real patient cases. Throughout the year, Dr. Wang participates in many hours of continuing education, attending numerous meetings and lectures. She also stays up to date with research findings published in orthodontic and oral healthcare journals. Because orthodontics is a constantly evolving field, research and technology increasingly enables orthodontists to provide treatments that are more effective, comfortable, and efficient for their patients.
In addition, Dr. Wang is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota Department of Orthodontics, where she is a member of the Cleft Lip/Palate team and supervises the orthodontic treatment of cleft lip palate patients with the orthodontic residents. She is also currently theAAO Midwestern Society of Orthodontists Minnesota director, the Past-President of the Minnesota Association of Orthodontists,and is a member of several study clubs including Spear and Seattle Study Clubs.
Dr. Wang lives in Shoreview, MN with her husband Neal, their son Paul, and their two quirky Cornish Rex cats, Prince William and Prince Harry. When she's not seeing patients, Dr. Wang enjoys doing yoga, cooking and baking, spending time with family and friends, playing the ukulele, and being involved with activities at church. During the summer, shes often found exploring the Superior Hiking Trail, or enjoying the beauty of nature in the Boundary Waters.

Jenelle has a great time making our patients smile! She loves interacting with patients, getting to know them and their activities and interests, all while creating a great new smile for them. Shes always looking for a new book recommendation!
Wendy may have joined our team in 2019, but she was originally a Lakes Orthodontics patient! Now, she uses her hands-on skills to assist Dr. Wang, and places and removes braces and ties on our awesome patients.

We love Lakes Orthodontics! They are always friendly- the front desk staff always has smiles on their faces and can accommodate busy schedules with multiple kids. They have evaluated multiple members of our family and come up with affordable treatment plans. I never feel like my time is waisted- they have a well thought out system in regards to getting people in and out quickly.

Lakes orthodontics is amazing! They are very thorough, great with young kids and go above and beyond to make things perfect! In fact, my son broke his jaw less than a week away from completing his Invisalign treatment. Dr Wang reached out just to check in on my son and assured me that she would get his jaw and bit lined up perfectly again which she did! A couple more months of new trays and he has perfect looking and functioning teeth.

People are nice and very professional. The place is always clean. The waiting room is gorgeous even though we have never used it because they're always ready to take care of us.

Staff is super friendly and personal. Our assistant who we were working with actually had conversations with me and my 9 yr old daughter, she answered my daughter's curious questions and explained a lot of the process for us while we were waiting for Dr. Wang. This was our first visit and I was really impressed and comfortable being there, as if we been long time clients!

I've had 2 kiddos go through here. Dr. Wang is very knowledgeable and willing to address any concerns myself or my kids have. One of the few places I don't mind calling to make an appointment. The staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate a busy schedule! Thanks Lakes. Highly recommend.

We have two children that have finished phase I orthodontic treatment. Dr. Wang and staff are professional, courteous, and pleasant. Dr. Wang has always been prompt to return communication and answer any questions. We will entrust Dr. Wang with our children's teeth again in the future.
