They tried to charge my wife $450.00, then they wanted another $75.00 for gas to get her teeth cleaned. When I went there when they first opened they charged me $100. cash to clean my teeth. I have since changed to a new Dentist. They sign out front says looking for new patients. Go figure.

Worst dental experience of my life. The dental assistant gave me tap water and didn't tell me it was tap water, never put suction where it was needed, and had no bedside manner. She then proceeded to spray the down my esophagus and tell me to keep my mouth open while I was coughing, involuntarily, the water out of my throat and lungs. It also was apparent they thought the situation humorous. She was also unnecessarily rough with teeth uninvolved with the filling and crown prep. I've has a root canal done on one of my front teeth. They generally need to be left alone when they're as old as this one is. I'm wondering at this point if she wasn't disturbing it so harshly to cause more business later on or if she was just that crude with how she handles people normally. Later she argued with me about the color of the crown. Matters of vanity are not subject to the dentist's discretion. The buyer should not have to repeat themselves ten times or more. The dentist was curt, inexperienced, and explained next to nothing. I had to ask him to reshape my tooth after he left it looking like a spiky orc tooth. That was after he didn't even give any follow up on what happened, what was found, or how things went. My wife had to return a week or so after having some cavities filled because they were so brutal with her gums that they were swelling and painful beyond what they told her was normal. And... beyond what is normal in general. They also promise you a tooth whitening treatment if you refer someone. I did, that person did a cleaning and some cavity fills. I told the lady at the desk that they never gave it to me. She just looked at me like I was an idiot and didn't offer it. Clearly a lie then... They knew that I referred that person because we had multiple chats about it. Also, another thing that was strange and disconcerting: Someone came in the room and said to the dentist in a panicked tone, "We need you now!" He didn't go - thankfully, but his nervousness seemed to pick up at this point. Not the kind of thing that makes you feel any more comfortable after all the other problems. I do not recommend whatsoever and don't know how in the world this is a five star place. I'll also be contacting the ADA to let them know that this is an unethical practice that lies to obtain more customers, and doesn't deliver on promises. Almost forgot: The first time I was supposed to have work done here they called and cancelled the appointment. Then they sent an email on the sly trying to reinstate, rather than calling. The day of, the office calls me with an attitude asking me why I'm not there... So, rather than talking to me, they send an email and get upset that I don't show to an appointment that they canceled. Hey, Lakes Dentistry(!), if you don't want scheduling issues, call people! Also, don't risk getting sent to the spam folder by sending an email... Get it together or find another profession.
