Modern dentistry is ever-evolving, and new technology is constantly shaping the field as we know it. Dr. Scott Martinka takes pride in knowing that his practice provides the highest level of dental care in his hometown of Willmar, MN.
After graduating from Willmar High School, Dr. Scott Martinka earned his bachelors degree at St. Johns University. He completed his studies at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Martinka has an extensive background in dental technology, including CEREC CAD/CAM technology, digital cone beam computed tomography, and 3D imaging. His background and passion for dental technology have transformed the way he performs cleanings, fillings, dental implants, and other traditional dental practices.
Today, Dr. Scott is happy to be back in his hometown practicing dentistry and serving his community. Hes married with two young children and enjoys cooking, playing hockey and golf, and spending time with his family at the lake.

Very friendly and professional. Did a great job answering any questions. My cleaning was awesome. I don't think I've ever had one turn out so well. My mouth felt awesome afterword.

I had a new hygienist today and I can't say enough about her! I typically kinda dread appointments because I know it will be uncomfortable and sometimes painful to some degree. Today was absolutely Pain-Free! She was so professional and very conscious of my comfort levels at all times. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! See you in 6 months!

Experience has been both good and challenging. Today went in for a cleaning and it started with doing gum pocket checks. So much time was spent on that the cleaning never got done and so have to go back or was 'going to be charged for another appointment'.

Grateful for the hygienist and Dr. Scott. Never in 66 years have I experienced any dental work without pain, until today. I needed a crown and those had been miserable for me, not today. I had absolutely NO PAIN, which for me is miraculous. I am so grateful!!! And the crown was placed in my mouth, matching my teeth before an hour and a half had gone by. Dr. Scott explained what he was doing as he designed it to fit perfectly. I highly recommend Lakes Area Dental and Dr. Scott.
