Dr. Amrit Virk born and raised in India. She comes from a family of dentists; she got her 1st dental degree from India in 2002 and worked at a charitable clinic for 2 years alongside Volunteers from international rotary. Her mentor was Dr. Lal who was knighted by the queen of England for his great service to the community. She moved to USA when she met her husband and pursued dentistry, again. She earned her DDS from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008. Dr. Lal continued to motivate and mentor her throughout her pursuit for an outstanding and passionate career in Dentistry in USA. Dr. Virk volunteers at her local church in Palatine once a month and advices seniors and children on their dental needs. Dr. Virk has come to be known as a gentle and meticulous dental professional providing personalized general dental care, she is a perfectionist who is dedicated to providing excellent dental services with the latest technological advancements. Dr. Virk believes in lifelong learning and continues her education on a regular basis. In the last years she has furthered her skill set in Dental Implantology, sleep apnea, facial esthetics and provides a wide array of services at the office. She ensures patients teeth look good, feel great, and function like natural teeth. One of her favorite sayings to patients is, I can make you love your smile! Dr. Virk recognizes that a patients oral health is critical to his or her overall health and well-being. The health of the mouth and the health of the body simply cannot be separated. Additionally, she recognizes that a patients smile and oral hygiene often play an important part in a patients self-confidence. Dr. V combines her passion for aesthetics and dentistry to help patients attain a radiant smile that they love.

Noemi was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. She graduated from the College of Lake County with a degree in Dental Hygiene. From a very young age, She knew that she wanted to work in the dental field. She has always loved going to the dentist and would tell her parents that she wanted to clean teeth when she was older. Unlike herself, she understands that most people have anxiety at the dentist so she tries her best to make all patients feel comfortable during their visit. She loves learning and strives towards becoming a better hygienist everyday. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, and eating good food.
Jennifer has been in the dental field since she was a child as her Dad and big brother were dentists in Lake Zurich, Illinois. She helped her dad and brother in their dental practice and then in 1990, she went ahead and earned her registered dental hygienist degree from Marquette University, Wisconsin. She is a full-time hygienist at Lakeland dental since 2018. Jennifer loves dentistry and treats patients like she wants to be treated herself. Jennifer enjoys outdoors and gardening is her hobby and maintains all the plants at the office.
Marlene has been in dental for over ten years and working at Lakeland Dental for seven years. She is cross trained to work as a dental assistant as well as the front desk. She has her certification in phlebotomy and is currently working on becoming a nurse. Marlene loves to spend time with her two kids, get brunch with her friends and spend quality time with her family.
From a young age, Shannon has known that she wanted to be in the dental field. After five years of scheduling, billing collections and insurance claims she decided to go back to school to become a dental hygienist. Currently, she is finishing her program at the College of Lake County to become a registered dental hygienist. When she is not working or studying, Shannon is working out at the gym or spending time with her Fianc and their three dogs.
Erica has been working with Dr. Virk since December 2013. She moved to Island Lake when she was 6 years old and has been here for over 20 years. She studied dental assisting at First Institute in Crystal Lake where she got her DA certification. As she worked throughout the years with Dr. Virk, Dr. Virk has expanded her skills in dental assisting and helped her get her coronal polishing, sealants and phlebotomy certification. She always knew she will work in the dental field since she loved going to the dentist as a little girl. She enjoys helping and educating others. On her free time she loves to spend time with her family, friends and her French Bulldog, Milo.
Evelyn has been with Lakeland for five years. She is cross trained as both a dental assistant and a receptionist. Evelyn is in the process of becoming an elementary school teacher, which is why she is so great with all of our pediatric patients. Outside of the office, you can catch Evelyn volunteering for her church, singing, and playing the flute or violin.
Solangi was born and raised in Guatemala with Colombian roots. She has always had a love for customer service and helping people. Her fathers family has a few dentist so she has always been interested in the dental field. In 2019, after seven years working in the aviation industry, she decided to take a chance in the field that has always interested her. She became a dental assistant and has not looked back since. She loves working with kids and helping her patients smile more.
After being a dental assistant with Lakeland for three years, Ashely decided to become a dental hygienist. She us currently working to become a registered dental hygienist at the College of Lake County. Outside of work, Ashely enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, playing video games and fishing.

My front teeth started decaying long ago, about 20 years ago i had vaneers put on at another dentist and they were deteriorating something fierce. The inside had sharp jagged edges and the outside looked awful. Dr. Virk wanted to do crowns on 6 and worked with the insurance but the low ball insurance i have would only spring for the 3 worst ones, i couldn't afford the other 3. I was hesesitent, worried if I only did 3 they would stick out like a sore thumb and you'd be able to spot them a mile away. Thankfully that was not the case at all. Not only did they match the shade perfectly they are now properly sized, no more sharp jagged edges and my smile looks amazing. I couldn't be happier with them. Dr Virk and her awesome team of assistants have come through again, thank you so much!!

Dr. Virk is amazing! She is so kind, and took me in immediately when I thought something was wrong. She cares about her patients and remembered me after only seeing her once before. The entire office is so cute, and very clean! I'm so thankful I found a dentist I love and trust!

I had a tooth repair over a year ago at a different dentist. I was so disappointed that my front tooth was rough and discolored. I thought it was permanently damaged. Finally I got past my fear of changing dentists and I am so glad I did. Dr Virk and team took one look and said oh no we have to fix that ASAP. They did! So glad I came to Lakeland Dental!

Everyone here is very friendly and inside is clean and decorated nicely. I am new to the area and hadn't been to a dentist in a long time. Dr. Virk made and the staff made me feel comfortable immediately. This is definitely my forever dentist.

Nervous Nelly here. Previous very bad experiences with dentists. Tried Lakeland because I really needed some work done. Had a broken off molar needing to come out, not looking forward to that AT ALL! Dr. Virk is a magician! I can't praise her enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you! As for Evelyn, tech today, what a kind and calming soul. Appreciate you ever so much. Then there's Jennifer, who cleaned my teeth a few weeks ago. She's a gem! So gentle, kind and really knows how to clean teeth! If you're scared of dentists, if you hate going to the dentist, if you need work done, come here! You won't be sorry, you'll be so happy!! Pain free!!

I visited you sort of at the last minute with a very bad tooth that severely hurt bad. I was hoping that you would remove it but I was not sure that you would because it was my first visit.You did. You even stayed after hours to help me. THANK YOU! Also, I've been by your place hundreds of times and never really thought much of it. I came in and was very presently surprised at your professionalism and how nice your place is! I plant to have my whole family be new patients of Lakeland Dental!

Dr. Virk and her team are the best! Every time I go, I know I am going to be taken care of. Let's be real, going to the dentist is not fun but Dr. Virk makes you so comfortable, you barely feel anything. You can tell that Dr. Virk absolutely loves what she does and you can see that in her work. I cannot recommend Lakeland Dental enough!

Dr. Virk and her staff are always great. The new location is super nice. It has a lot more room and is very comfortable. I live 15 miles away and I have a lot of other dentists I could go to, but I'd rather take the drive and continue my dental work at Lakeland Dental.

I was looking for a new dentist approximately 4 years ago and when I was in Petco I was talking to an employee, who told me about Lakeland Dental. I've been going to them every since. Dr. Virk has been amazing & very caring. She saw me after I dealt with a bad dentist & was very sympathetic to what I was going through. Since then she has added another dentist and more dental hygienist, which I rate up there with Dr. Virk. I almost forgot to mention the front office (receptionists), which are also very helpful & caring who offer great customer service. They definitely need to be recognized because they are your 1st contact, which we all know can make or break a business. My daughter & my grandson also goes to Lakeland. Lakeland Dental also works with the military & my ex-husband went to them for his annual exam. He also spoke highly of them. If I were talking to you in a store, I would recommend them to you as well. So don't hesitate making your appointment and becoming a part of an amazing family.

I have not been to the dentist in quite awhile and I was a little nervous as to how the appointment was going to go. The dental hygienist was very polite and had great bedside manners. She was very personable and made me feel comfortable the whole visit. This was also my sons first time and he was very nervous at first but the wonderful assistant did a fantastic job of calming him down and he allowed her to complete his visit!! I was very pleased with the service and would definitely recommend them to everyone. Thank you very much for everything.
