Dr. Lakebrink (Doc)is a 1985 graduate of the University Of Missouri Kansas City School Of Dentistry. He received the Dr. Robert James award from the Midwest Implant Institute with excellence in the field of Implantology.For the past 35 years Dr. Lakebrink has practiced all facets of General Dentistry with an emphasis in Cosmetic and Implantology.Dr. Lakebrink implements current State of the Art dentistry which includes same day tooth colored crowns and chair side restorations utilizing CEREC and E4D technology as well as soft tissue laser in the treatment of optimal periodontal health, one visit root canals, and ZOOM! whitening.
In order to offer the latest treatment options available in dentistry, Dr. Lakebrink puts a high emphasis on continuing education and has completed over 400 continuing education hours in the areas of Implant and Cosmetic dentistry alone. Dr. Lakebrink believes in patients being individuals with diverse needs and utilizes his training to deliver the highest quality of dentistry in a pleasant and caring environment with family values.
Dr. Lakebrink (Doc)is married to his wife Cathy of 31 years. He can be found hanging out at the lake with his five kids:Carilee, Michelle, Scott, Lauren, and Kirk; or grilling out while watching Chiefs and Royals games with the family dog, Marley.
Dr. D. Alexander Mitts is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He graduated with honors and was a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. He spent 6 years in Blue Springs providing excellent dental care to all of his wonderful patients before moving to Liberty. After 4 years with Lakebrink Dental, he loved the doctor, staff, and patients so much that he made the decision to become a business partner!! He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially cosmetics and working with children. He stays current with the latest trends in dentistry by attending numerous continuing education conferences every year, and has logged over 175 hours of education so far. Dr. Mitts is originally from Wichita, KS but because he and his wife loved living in Kansas City so much, they decided to permanently move here. In his free time he enjoys spending time exploring Kansas City with his wife, Christine, his daughter Genevieve, his sonsEverett and Bennett. He also enjoys running, reading, traveling and cheering on his alma mater, the University of Kansas. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
Dr. Stephanie Straub is a graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry. She spent 10 years in Independence providing excellent dental care to all of her wonderful patients before deciding to practice dentisty in Liberty. She really enjoys how dentistry allows her the opportunity to meet so many amazing people! She particularly enjoys Endodontics and Oral Surgery. She has spent the last couple years expanding her arsenal of skills to include Botox and lip filler! Dr. Straub is originally from Emporia, KS but after finishing school in Omaha, she relocated to the Plaza area where she ultimately met her husband! In her free time, she enjoys spending time at Grand Lake with her husband, Aaron, and her son Kaleo. She also enjoys spending time outside, traveling, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen! She especially loves football season and watching KC win! GO CHIEFS!!!

Get yourself a dentist you like to go to, not dred. This place is it! I've never been a fan of the dentist, or going. Since coming here that's not the case. When you first walk in your greeted with a friendly face, dental tech (shout out to Ben!) awesome, upbeat, friendly, gentle. Followed, by Dr. Mitts, hes wonderful, friendly, professional dental provider. Definitely not disappointed in the switch I made, you won't be either.

I recently went to Lakebrink-Mitts Dental due to tooth pain. I am someone who fears the dentist and goes as little as possible. The result: messed up teeth! I reached out via their website about tooth pain and they got me in the next day. They quickly assessed the issue and worked with me on my insurance coverage. The whole time during this, they professionally managed my anxiety with information and kind words. I felt comfortable enough with them to want to make a plan to fully fix my teeth. Once again they worked around my schedule, insurance and fears. They nailed it. I just completely my biggest day of work with two more days to follow in the coming months but I have less anxiety because of the clear communication, care and planning from the Lakebrink-Mitts office. I would list names but I have literally had 10 different people serve me and they are all the same level of care and service. I have already referred my friends and will happily be a patient for a long time. Thank you!

Went in to replace a filing on my front tooth. I then meet Carilee and decided to get a crown instead. I was pretty scared as I was not sure what it would look like. It was my front tooth, no hiding it if it turned out bad. It turned out so much better than I could have ever imagined!! This office is amazing, from the hygienists to Dr. Mitts to Sam at the front desk, they are all great! So glad I found them!

I had to have a crown replaced and it was the simplest procedure ever. The new crown was made right there and fit like a glove. AMAZING!!!!

I don't like dentists! I had a negative childhood experience that takes a great deal of willpower to sit in that seat. I moved to Liberty less than a year ago. I relied on the many positive reviews of Lakebrink-Mitts to decide where to go. I am delighted to say they were not wrong. Why I recommend Lakebrink-Mitts is not just that they provide a quality service at a reasonable price but my primary reason is how customer oriented they are. Easy to reschedule without hassle. Very personable from the front desk to hygienist to the dentist. Check my comfort level throughout my appointments (just had a 2 hr crown appt and this helps tremendously). I mentioned to the dentist today that when a dentist says this will just be a little jab I am used to feeling like someone is trying to stick a pitchfork through the roof of my mouth. The cream anaesthetic they use is magic. When the upper injection between lip and teeth (in my opinion the most painful of mouth injections) was done I did not feel a thing! Thanks, and hats off to the entire team at Lakebrink-Mitts. While I still have hesitancy at the dentist, it isn't fear anymore!

I have been going to Lakebrink Dental for five years and my daughter had her first visit this month. Everyone there is very professional, kind and understanding to our needs and any concerns.
