My son had his second appt here today. He is 3, and has autism. Roxanne was absolutely amazing with him. She explained everything in terms he would understand, didn't talk down to him, and made sure he was comfortable with everything she was doing. We also saw Dr. Joy for the first time today, and she was great too!

We LOVED our first experience at Lake Wylie Pediatric Dentistry. We just moved to the area and my daughter needed a cleaning. Mackenzie was our dental hygienist, she was so sweet, held a great convo with us, and most importantly made my daughter feel so comfortable, as going to the dentist is already a little scary. The doctor was also great, super nice! They have a cute area where they put up the child's name if they didn't have a cavity, and do a drawing at the end of the month. My daughter said she wanted to go back again to get her teeth cleaned so I'll take it!

Dr. Ryan and his staff are AMAZING! My three year old daughter was a little nervous at her appointment, but Dr. Ryan made certain she was comfortable and gave us enough time for her to calm down before finishing the dental cleaning. He's very patient and so understanding. We're so thankful we found his pediatric dentistry and recommend our family and friends to him! We love the incentives they have too when you're finished. My daughter loves getting the little gold tokens and choosing a prize. I can't say enough good things about them!!

My daughter was referred here when she was only 1 and at 5 we will only visit this establishment, they are all very friendly and professional. I love Dr Colosi and all of the staff, they are all great with children and the office is ALWAYS very clean!! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a surgical dentistry in the area.

Love Dr. Ryan , however I find it totally unprofessional how he allows his front desk staff to treat people. As a patient who has secondary ins when the financial agreement online says nothing about not being able to file secondary ins and they are refusing. I personal believe its because its medicade. As a person who works in the dental field i know how ins works, and i also have told several of our pts about Dr. Ryan but will not be anymore if this is how he allows his staff to treat people. I asked to be able to speak to him personally to let him know about the situation and was very upset to find that he could not take the time to call me himself and refused to talk with me about the situation. Formal complaints have been made through the medicade office against this office due to the refusal of filling my ins. If you are a pt that this has happen to i urge you to do the same. Its insurance fraud to not file with a company you are in network with and i feel as a mom of a medicade pt we are being targeted because of his ins. Again I work in the dental field and deal with ins all day and know how it works and know that they cant do this.

Dr. Ryan and staff are always such a pleasure to see. Our daughter (two years old) has been going there since she was a year old and she loves going to the dentist! This is a true testament to the level of care and service we receive each time! A huge thank you to Dr. Ryan and staff for making each experience a good one for her!

We switched to Lake Wylie Pediatric about a year ago and my only regret is that I didn't make the switch sooner. We were previously with a different large pediatric dentist practice and they never seemed to have respect for my time. I ...

I think a lot of the 5-star reviews are for the doctor. Unfortunately we didn't make it that far. ...

It's really a shame that I have to write this review; however, before I begin, I want to say that Dr. Ryan is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. He's patient, very knowledgeable, understanding, and great with kids; before coming here my daughter was terrified of the dentist but now doesn't have any problems whatsoever. Everyone else makes it very difficult to continue to come and today I may have taken all that I can take at this point. I wish I would've gotten names but, unfortunately, I did not. It started when my daughter was called to the back. The dental assistant hesitantly called her name and looked at the administrative assistant behind the desk so when we walked over I looked at her as well and she had her head tucked behind the computer laughing and stopped when I looked at her. I hate when people bring race into every situation, so I swear I'm not like that at all but I have to admit that it made me feel very uncomfortable due to the stereotypical belief of black people having "ghetto" names that are difficult to pronounce. Granted, my daughter name is Arionnah, it's very unique in spelling for reasons I won't get into here. Nevertheless, it was still unprofessional and I'm just glad my daughter was too young to catch it or I'm sure it would have made her feel self-conscious and uncomfortable as well. The professional thing to do would have been to call her by last name and then ask once we were in the room how to pronounce her name, not make an inside joke and laugh about it. It got worse as we were checking out. I'm a single parent who works 12 hour rotating night shifts 1.5 hours away so when scheduling appointments in advance it's essential that I check my calendar to make sure I have that day off and, if so, allow enough time to be able to pick my daughter up from the babysitter. Not only did I feel rushed when the lady was giving available days but the attitude I was getting from her when I would tell her that day didn't work was unreal!!! Maybe I'm so livid at this point because so many things have happen but I continued to come back because, as I mentioned, Dr. Ryan is fantastic at what he does but I felt very judged, uncomfortable, and out of place today and probably will not return.
