Thanks to Dr. Oakeys advanced training, up-to-date dental technology, and true Texas hospitality, we can provide the comprehensive, gentle care you and your family deserve.
Every dental practice follows the health and safety guidelines created by the ADA, and CDC, and OSHA, but our team goes above and beyond. The safety and comfort of our patients has always been our top priority, but we have recently implemented additional protocols to grant you peace of mind during your visits. From scheduling more time for disinfecting the office to wearing extra PPE, we do our utmost to keep you safe and sound.
Many general dentists offer basic services, such as checkups and teeth whitening, but have to refer patients to outside specialists for certain advanced procedures like orthodontics or dental implant placement. Because of Dr. Oakeys extensive qualifications, you can avoid all of the extra time spent on seeing an unfamiliar provider. Instead, our team can conveniently meet all of your dental care needs in just one place.
For over a decade now, Dr. Oakey has been committed to helping his patients smile brighter with the power of quality dental care. Building relationships is the best part of his job by far! He always goes the extra mile to communicate honestly and help each new arrival achieve a healthier version of themselves that will last. Interested in learning more about him? Just keep reading below.
Dr. Oakey grew up with a dad who worked as a CPA and liked having lots of organization, as well as a mother who owned her own bridal store and loved making people feel beautiful and happy. Dentistry is the perfect combination of both influences he grew up with over the years, and he realized in college that it was the best avenue for him. The work is precise and exact, but it also has an amazing cosmetic/artistic component you cant have one without the other!
After completing his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University, Dr. Oakey completed his dental doctorate at the University of Oklahoma. Over the past decade, he has pursued thousands of hours in advanced training to elevate his clinical skillset even further, covering specialty services like oral surgery, sleep apnea, dental implants, orthodontics, dental lasers, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, All-On-4 restorations, BOTOX, dermal fillers, Invisalign, sedation dentistry, and so much more. For him, the learning truly never stops.
As far as Dr. Oakey is concerned, he has the best family a guy could ask for. His beautiful wife has a heart of gold, and they have three children named Cooper, Madeline, and Violet. As a family, they love going boating in the summer at Lake Whitney on summer weekends and simply relaxing with each other. As for personal hobbies, he really enjoys doing water sports like wakeboarding and surfing, as well as attempting to teach his children how to participate. In the fall, watching his son play football on Saturdays is one of his favorite pastimes, as well as rooting for the Oklahoma Sooners!
All in all, Dr. Oakey considers himself to be a very well-rounded person. He loves sports but can also play the piano, and hes passionate about the outdoors but also a true homebody who enjoys wearing a suit from time to time. Heres something you may not know about him: he lived in South America for two years and speaks fluent Spanish.
Ever since she can remember, Dr. Cross has had an interest in both the medical and dental fields. After completing her undergraduate degree, she chose to apply to dental school and enjoyed the work because she saw the life-changing impact it could have on a person, whether through relieving their pain or helping them improve their self-confidence with a brand-new smile.
However, Dr. Cross also personally witnessed the extreme anxiety that kept so many patients from pursuing their dental needs and goals. She decided to pursue anesthesia because it allowed her to combine her passions for both dentistry and medicine into one career. It also gives her the ability to help patients with severe fear comfortably achieve what they need to smile brighter and live healthier.
After completing her undergraduate degree at Southwestern Adventist University, Dr. Cross chose to complete both her dental doctorate and dental anesthesia residency at Loma Linda University. She also underwent a General Practice Residency at the Loma Linda Veterans Hospital. Today, she is a Board-Certified dental anesthesiologist, which represents her dedication to quality, clinical precision, and lifelong learning.
Dr. Cross and her eventual spouse Luke grew up in Keene and started dating while in college. Today, they have a little toddler named Korbin. When she isnt busy working, hanging out with family and traveling are her biggest priorities. Heres an interesting fact about her as well: she used to be an acrobat!
