Dr. Gavin Convey completed his dental training in 2001. He is a graduate of Dublins prestigious Trinity College, Irelands oldest university where he received numerous awards including an academic scholarship and two honors degrees.
Afteranenjoyable and rewarding six years in general practice, Gavin moved to Dallas Texas to pursue his passion for endodontics. He completed his residency and was awarded a Certificate in Endodontics by Baylor College of Dentistry in 2009.
After seven years of endodontic practice in Bedford Texas, Gavin and his wife Carrie relocated to the majestic Pacific Northwest where they established Lake Washington Endodontics, a modern practice focused on delivering the very highest level of patient care.
Born and raised in Taiwan, Carrie came to the USA in 2005 where she completed her MBA at the University of Texas, Dallas. Carrie is the co-founder and general manager of Lake Washington Endodontics. With an MBA and many years experience in business, she is excited to apply her skills to the running of our cutting edge endodontic office. Fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese Carrie is happy to assist patients using these as their preferred language. When not at the office, Carrie enjoys exploring the many parks and trails of our beautiful Pacific Northwest with her family. She is an avid reader and in her spare time enjoys playing classical piano.
Lydia was born in Eugene, Oregon but has now lived in the Seattle area for over 30 years. She loves the beauty and adventures of the Pacific Northwest. Lydia is a people person with several years of dental office experience. She looks forward to meeting you and helping to make your visit with us a friendly, comfortable experience. When not at work she enjoys traveling, new adventures, dancing, gardening, and football. She especially loves spending time with friends, her two grown sons and her husband of 29 years.
Chyna is one of our highly skilled endodontic assistants. She is a pre-dental student and is on course to complete her DANB CDA and Washington state certification. Chyna came to Washington from New York to pursue her education and further her career in dentistry. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in nature, photography, art, and comedy.
Yuliana, is a proud Washingtonian, having lived here her whole life. Yuliana graduated from Northshore Dental Assisting Academy in 2022 and we are excited to have her join our patient-focused team. In her free time she enjoys shopping, dancing and spending time with her family and friends.

If you ever need a root canal, this is the place to go! Dr Convey is very thorough, caring, professional, kind and patience. This was like having a filling or crown done. I had a root canal done many years ago and it was nothing like this one as I was not looking forward to having this done. I certainly would recommend Dr Convey to anyone that needs a root canal.

My dentist referred me to Dr. Convey for a troublesome tooth. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. Just finished the root canal. I have done many root canals before, and I must say that this is the least unpleasant procedure I have done. Dr. Convey and his entire staff are all very nice, helpful and professional. He uses Gentle Wave that breaks up the tisues and clean it up, which is much faster and c;leaner, and heals faster too. They all showed great care. I would highly recommmend them to anyone who needs root canal.

I've worked with Dr. Convey for approximately 3 years. His work is of high quality and painless. Also he's quite funny and has amazing bedside manners putting anyone with anxiety at ease. I would highly recommend Dr. Convey 200%! All his other reviews are really accurate!

I've got referral from my dentist to Lake Washington Endodontics with horrible toothache. At the same day they took care of me. Personal was very professional, kind, and nice. My special big thank you for Dr. Gavin Convey. He painted on x-ray image what happened to my tooth and what he is going to do. After a few shots my pain disappeared and he started to work with his very professional assistance. I don't remember how long it took to finish root canal, but after it was done and till now (on other day) i don't have any pain. Just need to recover form the previous pain. Thank you Dr. Gavin Convay and personal of Lake Washington Endodontics office for you kindness and professional job!!!

This is the best experience I've had with a root canal treatment and that sentence on its own says a lot. I was impressed by the entire team's efficiency and professionalism. I am very grateful to Dr Gavin Convey, who explained what was going on before, after and especially during the treatment. Also I was impressed by Chyna's knowledge, speed and professionalism. Amazing team! I would 100% recommend this practice to anyone, especially to those like me, scared of the tiny, but mighty root canals. Thank you team!

For the past three years I've had many procedures from various specialists. I feel I can competently tell apart a medical professional who stands above the average. I highly recommend Dr Convey and his team who are professional with attention to detail and clarity in communication. Dr. Convey has a great chairside manner, the procedure was completed within the time allotted, and now my tooth no longer hurts. Although it's never fun getting serious dental work done, this root canal went well.

I went to Dr. Convey in need of a root canal. I've had a problem with it being a "hot tooth" with referred pain. The tooth wouldn't numb up. I had pretty bad anxiety about that and almost didn't show up for the appointment. Dr. Convey's entire team was kind to me, very informative and ultimately eased my anxiety. Dr. Convey took time to assuage my many fears, patiently answered all my questions and then numbed up the tooth without problems. I elected to have Nitrous which helped me relax as well. The procedure was quicker than I expected and I had NO pain after. Thank you Dr. Convey and everyone in your office!

I needed a root canal treatment and chose Dr Convey over the specialist my dentist referred me to because he was in Network for my insurance provider. I am very impressed with him and his staff. A+ for communication with pre-treatment estimate, getting info from my regular dentist and another endodontist and post procedure follow up. Received a full summary with pre- and post- treatment pictures and copy to my regular dentist within minutes after leaving the office. Also getting an appointment was easy and I had the procedure done the day after I called them for the first time. Have had several root canal treatments with different doctors in the US and Europe and it is never a great experience. Dr Convey did a great job keeping me as comfortable as possible and he swiftly performed the myriad of tasks involved. Hoping not to need another major procedure anytime soon but if it comes to it Dr Convey is going to have my trust.
