Dr. Michael Shreck grew up in Brooklyn and graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences. He then attended the University of Pennsylvaniawhere hereceived his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1984. Dr. Shreck then completed a two year General Practice Residency Program at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. He received his Postdoctoral Certificate in Periodontics from Columbia University in 1988.
Dr. Shreck has been in private practice in New Hyde Park since 1997. He is the founder and chairman of the Lake Success Study Group. He is very involved in organized dentistry and is currently Trustee to the New York State Dental Association, as well as, an Executive Board member of the Nassau County Dental Society, where he served as past President. Dr. Shreck is a member of the
American Dental Association, Long Island Academy of Periodontics, American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, the Pierre Fauchard Society, and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. In addition, he holds a position as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Dental Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Dr. Shreck was the founder and current Co-Chair of Nassau County Dental Societys Give Kids A Smile Program. Since 2003, the program has helped treat and educate over 10,000 underserved children in the county. In 2014, he was the second recipient of the American Dental Association Foundations prestigious Jeffrey Dalin, DDS Give Kids A Smile Volunteer Award for his outstanding achievements.

I had a routine visit. My appointment was for 11am. I was taken in minutes. My deep cleaning by the hygienist was painless and thorough. Dr. Schreck is a professional and kind man. His office is 5 stars.

I had an initial consultation with Dr Schrek today and was impressed with his pleasant chair-side manner, clear communication, conservative approach to treatment, and thoroughness. The staff left a positive impression, too.

I only wish Google would allow me to give MORE than just 5 stars. This office is by the far the best periodontist you will ever find. Not just in Lake Success but anywhere in New York. The amazing ladies at the front desk are just a dream come true. The dental assistants are all very helpful and skilled. Dr Schreck is nothing short of a miracle worker. Every step of the way, quality, painless process, etc. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!!!!!!!!

I give Dr. Schreck 5 stars because he and his staff are an extraordinary team. The treatment I get from them is always top notch. Dr. Schreck does things that most doctors don't do these days. When I have a procedure in his office, he calls my house in the evening to find out how I am doing. That's the practice of a caring physician. During the pandemic, I feel comfortable going to Dr Schreck's office because he invests in equipments that enhance the ventilation in his office and the suction of fluid. My wife and I believe in the quality of his work, both as a physician and a dedicated professional. I am sure that most of you who have been to his office will agree with me. And if you haven't been there, I encourage you to give it a try.

Dr. Shreck is a highly talented and knowledgeable periodontist. He's one of the most personable physicians you'll ever meet and can answer all your questions in easy-to-understand language. Most importantly, the results are spectacular! Plus, his office staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Lake Success Periodontics is one of the best offices I have been to. As soon as you walk in Denise and her team make you feel right at home. The office is very modern and up to date. I have had multiple cleanings at the office and I cannot complain at all. Dr.Sherk and his assistant Mirla helps you understand your teeth hygiene and steps to improve and keep your great smile ! I highly recommend this office. 10/10!!!

Pleasant front office staff. They are efficient and accommodating. The professional staff is equally pleasant, knowledgeable and caring. Dr. Shreck is a great periodontist. He takes pride in his work and does not recommend unnecessary procedures. I highly recommend the practice.

Dr Shreck performed implant surgery on me. I had bone loss so he had to also add bone. I was very anxious about the procedure but he allayed my concerns He explained the procedure completely and made me feel at ease. I was amazed that I hardly had any swelling or pain after the surgery. I could not be more pleased with the outcome and my new implant. Dr Shreck is an excellent periodontist and a caring professional. You can't go wrong choosing Dr Shreck! I highly recommend him.

Lake Success Periodontics is one of the best offices I have ever been to. As soon as you step into the office the amazing front desk staff make you feel right at home. But they also go above and beyond of helping with any billing questions or issues you might have. As well as scheduling you according to your availability. The ladies are truly fabulous. The office is very modern, clean and up to date, which is a major plus. Dr. Michael Shreck is a phenomenal periodontist who takes great pride in his work. I have came to this office for a tooth extraction and an implant. Dr. Shreck explains the procedures before hand so you're aware of what will happen which I truly appreciate. As well as checks in with you personally after your procedures which I never had a dentist do that before. Dr. Shreck's assistant Mirla is very knowledgeable as well and is extremely skilled. Both Dr. Shreck and Mirla work very well together, they really make a great team. I really would recommend anyone who needs a great dentist to come to Lake Success Periodontics. You will not be disappointed!

I've had the good fortune to be a patient of Dr. Michael Shreck's for a number of years. A knowledgeable and caring periodontist, he reversed the bone loss I was experiencing, and replaced two of my teeth with implants that have been an unqualified success. His office staff is wonderful, and always makes me feel welcome. Don't hesitate to book an appointment!
