Walter Hong, DDS Dr. Walter Hong has worked and trained extensively to build a practice that exceeds your expectations with trusted, personalized dental care. He consistently brings his patients only the best that modern dentistry has to offer by keeping himself and his team informed on the latest advances and reliable techniques.
After receiving his B.B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1993, Dr. Hong trained at one of the worlds most respected dental institutions, the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he graduated in 2002. While in school, he conducted independent research on burning mouth syndrome and spent a summer in northern Michigan providing free dental care to the children of migrant workers. A class leader among his peers, he served as an elected class officer all four years of dental school.
After earning his D.D.S. degree, Dr. Hong gained additional training during a general practice residency at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, where he served as an on-call dentist for a busy community hospital and emergency room. Due to this experience, Dr. Hong has extensive experience handling and treating many types of dental emergencies.
Tommy Lam, DDS Dr. Tommy Lam was born and raised in Columbia, MD. He graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he earned his B.S. in biology. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Lam earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Maryland School of Dentistry and afterwards gained post-doctorate training completing a general practice residency at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Hospital.
While at University of Maryland, Dr. Lam earned various awards in implantology. Also, Dr. Lam was an implant prosthodontic clerk and an officer of Gamma Pi Delta, a prosthodontic honor society. During his residency he received extensive training in implant placement and restoration, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Dr. Lam enjoys several aspects of dentistry but creating functional and aesthetically pleasing smiles is what he loves best about dentistry. Dr. Lam is very excited to join Dr. Hong and the Lake Shore Family Dental team.

Really impressed with the quality of service and care Lakeshore Family Dental provides. The office is very clean and professional. The staff are wonderful and very patient! I especially love that they cater their care to each patient. My husband and I are opposites in most ways - I prefer to know the details and tend to ask a lot of questions, while he's a bottom line kind of person. The staff accommodated both of us. My husband hasn't gone to a dentist in years because of a tooth sensitivity, but because of the care Lakeshore Family Dental provided he's already scheduled for his six month cleaning and will start going more regularly. Would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a quality dentist in the area!

Just came as a new patient. Fantastic experience: everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. They give you a cute little tumbler and thank you note as a new patient which I've never had before. Nice little touch. Definitely recommend.

I switched to this dental office and was very impressed with the office, staff and service. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and professional. They were all knowledgeable and guided me through my appointment with efficiency. They operate at a high level and I really doubt that there are any dental offices that can outdo them. Overall I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

I needed to be seen soon for a broken tooth. I was able to make an appointment next day and was able to get the work done the next day! I have always had a fear of the dentist. They were SO kind, explained EVERYTHING, gentle and kept me informed throughout the entire process. I can not wait to go back and get seen again and my son is also looking forward to going here as well. I will be referring to all that I know!

Never enjoyed going to dentist until I found lake shore family dental, the dentist and staff were extremely understanding and easy to talk to. They make you feel very comfortable which I never thought a dentist office could be. I highly recommend lake shore family dental.

The staff is extremely friendly and caring. They explain everything and make sure you have no questions. The facility is kept up so nicely and provides a relaxing and friendly atmosphere for all the patients. I will be recommending lake shore family dental to my friends and family. I'm very glad I switched over to them.

I am very pleased with Lakeshore. I went in with TMJ and a tooth that broke. They were careful with my jaw and filled my tooth. There wasn't much room to get to my tooth but they did it. Thank you.

Our first time here went smoothly. They gave us a tour and even a small welcome gift. The staff was very friendly and they stuck to our appointment time. Initially rated 5 ....but several visits later we were given a total estimate for our visit prior to having work done (thinking they ran the insurance since the cost was zero on the forms they showed me) later found that they never actually ran it for that visit and their provider was no longer in network so we were billed out of pocket after the visit. Very misleading to show me my cost ahead of time implying the insurance would cover it only to find out it was not preauthorized and now I have a bill. Had they simply run it, I would have know the provider was no longer in network and would have rescheduled elsewhere.

I love this practice everyone is friendly and professional. They have advanced technology which is amazing I had to get a crown they made it and put it it the same day. The fit was much better than the traditional method! If the tell you your appointment will take an hour it takes an hour they understand that people's time is important. My teeth have never been heathier!!
