Dr. Angela is from Decatur, GA. She attended Druid Hills High School in Decatur and received a B.B.A. degree from the University of Georgia. Dr. Angela obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she was awarded an academic merit scholarship. Following graduation, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. During Dr. Angelas residency, she received advanced training in Complex Case Treatment Planning, IV and Oral Sedation, Implant Placement and Restoration, Periodontal Surgery, Oral Surgery, Root Canal Treatments, Full Mouth Reconstruction, among many other procedures.
She enjoys educating her patients about their dental health and has a strong focus on providing patients with the highest quality of comprehensive dental care. Dr. Angela is an active member of the dental community and obtained a Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). She has taken over 1000 continuing education (C.E.) courses and continues to remain informed of the latest research to provide her patients access to the most advanced dental procedures. She is also an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry. In addition to English, Dr. Lu is also fluent in Korean and Chinese. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and cooking.
Dr. Sonia attended Georgia State University where she received B.S. degree in Biology. She obtained Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University, where she was awarded an academic merit scholarship and The Joseph R. Evans Endowed Prize Fund in Clinical Operative Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Sonia was involved in community outreach program serving children and special needs patients.
She enjoys educating her patients about their dental health and has a strong focus on providing patients with the highest quality of comprehensive dental care. Dr. Sonia continues to advance her skills by actively continuing her education. Dr. Sonia is an active member of the Georgia Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Northern District Dental Society. In her spare time, Dr. Sonia enjoys time with her family and friends, taking her dogs out and hiking.
Dr. Hodges is a graduate of Emory University School of Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Northern District Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Hodges has been serving the Atlanta, Marietta, and Smyrna areas since 1977.

Originally from a suburb of Dayton Ohio, Carla has lived in the Atlanta area for more than 25 years. She has worked with this delightful merged practice for over 18 years. Carla is knowledgeable in insurance benefits, treatment plans and assists her patients with financial options to meet their needs. She enjoys working with her wonderful patients and genuinely cares about each one. In her spare time, Carla enjoys spending time with her son, golfing, spending time outdoors and ballroom dancing.
Amanda has been a part of the Lake Park Dental team since 2015. She has been in the dental field for over 16 years. Amanda enjoys being the first person to greet you at our amazing office; she is committed to ensuring each patient is provided with exceptional dental care and customer service. In her free time Amanda enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, kayaking, traveling and attending Atlanta United, Falcons or Braves games!
Ashley graduated from West Central Technical College with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. She has practiced hygiene for over 18 years. As a hygienist, Ashley is very involved with maintaining optimal patient dental health. She enjoys educating her patients, so that every person leaves with a healthy mouth and beautiful smile. Patient success is the most rewarding part of her career. Ashley has lived in Georgia most of her life. She loves spending time with her family and friends. Georgia football season is her favorite time of the year!
Heather is a registered Dental Hygienist. She went to Georgia Southern College in 1988. Heather then attended DeKalb College from which she graduated in 1993 with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. Heather enjoys getting to know all of her patients and educating them in oral health. Her goal is to motivate her patients to have better oral hygiene which leads to a healthy life.Heather grew up in East Cobb. She has a son and two daughters. When Heather is not working she loves spending time with her children, family, and working in her yard.
Mandi is Dr. Angela Lus main dental assistant. Shes been in dentistry for 17 years and loves it. She has been with Lake Park Dental for the last 3 years. Mandi enjoys informing her patients on their treatment and does what is needed to ensure their comfort before and during treatment. Her goal is for every patient to look forward coming back to the dentist. Mandis been married for 8 years and has a blended family. She and her husband love to travel since theyre empty nesters.
Dee has been in the dental field for almost 10 years. She graduated from Medix Technical School in November of 2008 with a Dental Assistant Expanded Duties Certificate. She loves working in the dental field and interacting with her patients. She cannot see herself doing anything else. Dee has lived in Georgia all her life, but have seen the whole Western and Eastern Coast. She has a handsome 4 year old son that is starting pre-k this August.
Cathy has been in the dental field over 10 years. She graduated Dr. Ericson's Dental Institute in 2006. Cathy loves positive interaction between herself and the patients. Her top priority is for the patients to have an enjoyable experience while in our office. Cathy and her daughter, Ava enjoy knitting and walking their three dogs. She loves volunteering at Best Friends and also fosters dogs for Angels Among Us.

Super friendly, kind, and professional! I went there for the cleaning and check-up as a new patient. Ashley, the hygienist, and Dr. Angela Lu were so patient and listened well to my history and concerns. I felt completely at ease and comfortable. I feel very confident in this practice and look forward to establishing a long relationship. Also, everyone I encountered while there was amiable. Administratively speaking, they are very organized and explain procedures and cost very well. I highly recommend Lake Park Dental.

Hi! I'm from out of state I'm here caring for my mother when out of no where I came down with a bad tooth ache. My mother recommended me to the Lake Park Dental and they were able to get me in the same day what a blessing. They are a 10 the best Dentist around. The whole staff very polite and patient. They took their time explaining everything they needed to do and made sure I understood what needed to be done in order to relieve the pain. The Dentist herself very very nice she took her time to explain to me what she needed to do and what the procedure was all about. I knew I would need some serious work done and the Dentist took her time to explain to me what to expect and what to expect after my surgery. She also made sure I understood my meds and where to go to get them at the best prices in town. Her chair side manners I rate a10 . She is smart and knew what she was talking about. I can't thank them all enough . D. Klein ( God blessed her with brains and more)

Great service, great people, but when it comes to billing they do not communicate coverage beforehand. I had an initial consultation where I presented my insurance only to find out 3 weeks later that my insurance is not accepted at Lake Park Dental. I am now stuck with a large bill that should have been handled beforehand. Extremely disappointed.

Lake Park Dental was an incredible experience. I have anxiety going to the dentist and the bedside manner there from everyone was so pleasant and kind. The doctor was very thorough when speaking to you about what is going on and makes sure you understand. She was so kind. Nicole , the receptionist was so nice and welcoming. Mandi was amazing and Ashley did a wonderful job on cleaning my teeth. Overall I recommend going here for all your dentistry needs.

Both Dr. Lu are truly amazing. I have been their patient for the past 7 years and even thought I have moved to Birmingham, AL, I will come to them once a year. Dentists you know you can trust and won't charge you for unnecessary work.

I have been coming here since I was a kid and LOVE the staff! The office is always super clean, they do such a thorough and GENTLE job cleaning my teeth. I especially love Ashley, she's so sweet and gentle and my teeth are always sparkling clean when I leave there!

I've been going to Lake Park Dental for 2 years now and absolutely love them. The entire office staff is amazing & very knowledgeable. Stephanie my favorite dental hygienist is the best. I refuse to see anyone but her. She's extremely gently when cleaning my teeth and just an all around sweetheart. I have referred my friends & spouse who are all now dedicated & forever patients.

Fantastic dental practice, have been coming here for years, first with Dr. Gunn and stayed with Drs. Angela and Sonia Lu. Patient care is foremost with this team, both front and back office. Ashley is an amazing hygienist, thorough, patient and really listens.
