Lake Norman Dentistry is a Huntersville based family dentist practice that treats patients of all ages. We are committed to delivering the highest quality dental care and do so using advanced dental equipment. We are a cosmetic dentist that offers services like checkups, teeth cleaning, crowns, veneers and more.
He earned an undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University in 1991 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia Commonwealth University in 1997. Dr. Guice also has recently earned his Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine status.
Dr. Guice served as a dentist with a large group practice for 3 years before opening his own office in Huntersville, NC. In April of 2000, Lake Norman Dentistry was founded on the strong principles of integrity, compassion and conservative comprehensive dentistry. The practice focuses on the dental services for the entire family ages 3 to 100.
To ensure you get the best care possible, Dr. Guice continues his education on all aspects of general dentistry, including orthodontics, endodontics, dental implants and full-mouth reconstruction. He also takes extra time on the first visit to be sure children are comfortable.
Dr. Guice is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the North Carolina Dental Society, Charlotte Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry and an Invisalign Preferred Provider. He has been listed among Charlotte Magazines Top Dentists since 2008.
Scott loves spending time with his family. He enjoys traveling, running, biking, swimming and competing in mud runs. Scott completed his first triathlon in August 2006 and a marathon later the same year.
Dr. Dylan N. Sobin is a native of South Carolina. He graduated from Clemson University in 2014, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. In 2017 Dr. Sobin was awarded the Hinman Dental Society Scholarship which is given to the top two ranked students in the dental class. Dr. Sobin earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2018.
After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, Dr. Sobin completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at Augusta University. The program provided advanced training in IV sedation, dental implants, oral surgery, and periodontal surgery.
Dr. Sobin is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), American Dental Education Association (ADEA), and the Christian Dental Society. Dr. Sobin volunteers for the Special Olympics Special Smiles program and the St. Matthews Baptist Church Free Clinic.

Best drs and hygienists in town.. took me 23 yrs to get back to a dentist.. felt like buddies were working on me. Highly recommend love these guys. My fear of dentistry is a thing of the past

The entire office is personable and kind. I don't usually have dentist anxiety like other people do, but I'd imagine if I did, the wonderful front desk staff, techs, hygienists, and dentists would ease a lot of that tension. I also have said on several occasions that this was the most aesthetically pleasing dentist office I've ever been to. From the paint, to the furniture, to the lighting. 10/10 would recommend.

Our family was in the middle of moving from the Raleigh NC area to the Huntersville NC area, 3 hours away. It was Saturday 7/23/2022 and the movers were literally 20 minutes away from coming from our home we just sold to move us up to our new residence when something happened to my front tooth that sent me into a panic. I bit into a bagel and one of my two front teeth of which I had a root canal done on it prob 25 years ago and a veneer/crown placed over it broke off. I also want to add I start a new job two days later on the following Monday. I was in a panic as I looked ridiculous now, my wife tried to calm me down. I called my current dental place in Wake Forest, NC as it was around 7:15 AM and got their emergency person. I may also add my current place is open on Saturdays at 9 am, various dentist work there. Person said someone would call me back (no one to this day has). As you get older moving is diff than when young as you need new doctors, dentist etc. I had asked around and to a person everyone said I should call to set up cleaning and make my new dentist Dr Scott Guice of Lake Norman Dentistry in Huntersville, NC. People raved about him as a dentist and as a person, stating such a nice guy etc. Thus, I planned on calling his office anyways first week at new job and area to get established as a new patient. My wife said since we are moving up to that area within the next few hours I should call him. I called and got his answering machine and it said for existing patients pls call Dr Guice cell line direct. I called him and left a detailed message, knowing I am not a patient of his and within 1-2 minutes he called me back. He let me know to text him a pic of the tooth. Dr g to call him first thing Sunday am, as he was out of town currently. I woke up Sunday am to a text from Dr Guice already telling me to meet him in his office at 11 am. Now this is a person who is genuine, caring and so nice, again I am not an existing patient at this time. I met with Dr G, nicest man, and I had felt so bad, that I had pulled him away from his plans to be on Lake Norman, to which he said not to worry, he would have plenty of time right after this to go on the Lake. ended up putting a new post in my gum, fixed it all up nice and put a beautiful temp crown in for the time being that matches perfectly to what other one looked like. Told me to call the office on Monday to get appt so he can put in the permanent crown. I enjoyed getting to know Dr Guice and can now see why he has so many glowing reviews and why people I spoke to speak so very highly of him. There are not too many people in any medical field that would go above and beyond like this, esp. to someone they have never met before. Dr Guice is a true gentleman with obvious professional talents, but it's the man and his warm, approachable, sincere, thoughtfulness caring demeanor that truly puts him over the top. I am so thrilled knowing that Dr Guice will now be our dentist for a very long time. Dr Guice I cannot thank you once again for all that you did for me, as now I can smile and enjoy my first day of work at my new job.

I recently called so I could book a regular teeth cleaning, but they said they won't book me to do a regular cleaning because they recommended the "deep clean", which I told them I couldn't afford since it's $1,200. I guess I have to find a new dentist just to get a yearly regular cleaning. I've never been denied a basic dental service in my life.

Friendly, helpful, and quick! I've only ever been loyal to one other dentist before. I HATE going to the dentist and I have to be honest, the first few times I called them I still had anxiety just from previous experiences. From the first phone call where they made sure my insurance would work to my last visit, I haven't had a bad experience yet. I even was experiencing some pain a couple weeks after one of my visits and probably just needed an adjustment and they got me right in, same day, when I called. Probably the weirdest bonus for me though, would really have to be this: THIS office is the first one to have obviously read my new client paperwork when I sat down. I didn't have to repeat anything I just spent time writing out. They asked me relevant questions that demonstrated that they had obviously taken the time to review it. As someone with chronic health issues that actually has to list a whole bunch of stuff, I SO appreciate that. It may be small to some people but that was such a relief for me. It makes me feel safe. I've already recommended this place to my family and I'll be back.

Based off ratings and location to my home I made an appointment here. I am already very afraid of dentist. They sent me a text message to tell me my dental insurance was term. That was false. It really turnt me off.

I have lived in a few cities. As an adult with a history of teeth problems and many horrible experiences with dentists - I would have to say Lake Norman Dentistry is by far the best. They are the best in customer service, timely, knowledgeable and most of all comforting. I felt really welcome and taken care of. I walked out of the office with more confidence about my teeth than ever before. Lake Norman Dentistry is a perfect fit for anyone of any age! In addition - they offer great affordable, dental plans for anyone who does not have insurance.

I always have the best experience at Lake Norman Dentistry! The staff is friendly, professional, and they've done a great job adapting to the new COVID ways. I drive from Fort Mill (35-40 minutes) and will continue to do so. Would highly recommend.
