Dr. Nelson received his Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Gustavus Adolphus College. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota, graduating first in his class. Continuing at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Nelson then completed his specialty training in orthodontics and received his Master of Science degree. Dr. Nelson is Board Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Along with practicing at Lake Minnetonka Orthodontics, Dr. Nelson is also a member of the Cleft and Cleft Palate Team at Childrens Hospital in Minneapolis. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Midwest Society of Orthodontists, Minnesota Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, and the Minneapolis District Dental Society.
Dr. Tiziani received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her dental degree and a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard University, graduating with honors. Dr. Tiziani completed her specialty training in orthodontics and received her Master of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.
Along with practicing at Lake Minnetonka Orthodontics, Dr. Tiziani is also a member of the Cleft and Craniofacial Team at Childrens Hospital in Minneapolis. Youll find Dr. T in pink gloves that smell like strawberries (according to one of our wonderful patients), and on certain Thursdays throughout the football season shes been known to wear her favorite Green Bay Packers jersey.

There's plenty of great Orthodontists out there, but you haven't been to THE BEST until you have been serviced by Lake Minnetonka Orthodontics. From the front door to the basement the place is kept in immaculate condition, the front desk receptionist always have the friendliest tone. Callbacks, cancellations, reschedules and general information is promptly delivered. The Orthodontists are the BEST IN THE CITY!! They take great pride in their work, have the best educations from the best schools, and are WELL experienced... you will have beyond amazing results, if you trust them with your orthodontic needs. My daughter has had her braces removed the other day, the job was so well done that her teeth looks like a set of super straight, brand new DENTURES! They use state of the art equipment and technology. No dinosaur days in this place. No dollar store tooth brushes and accessories here. Their service is untouchable, you just can't compete with them. Dr. Bohlig, Dr. Carr, Dr. Nelson and Dr. Tiziani! I dare you to let ANY of them "in your mouth" You will never go anywhere else........I promise.

My experience and my daughter's experience at Lake Minnetonka Orthodontics has been wonderful! The entire team is great! Very welcoming and friendly. The attention to detail with the treatment of my daughters braces was exceptional. I have recommended Lake Minnetonka Ortho to our family and friends and will continue to do so.

Scheduling: Appointments are hard to get for kids outside of school hours. No Saturday or after 5 p.m. hours for a business that serves a LOT of school-aged kids. You also can only call for an appointment during daytime business hours - no online scheduling is available during evenings or weekends either. So working parents need to take time away from their jobs to call for an appointment, and then take time away from work to pull the student of out school every 6 weeks for appointments. I wish I would have looked for someone with a more patient-friendly schedule. Given that this goes on for years, if it's a concern to you it might be something to include in your selection criteria. Quality of work: Originally they told us 18 months to 2 years; we are at 2 years 7 months and now they just told him up to 7 more months. That is discouraging; partially due to waiting to see what would happen as he grew. It's hard to tell how this will turn out.

I loved the environment and location and people. Everyone was so nice and when you arrived, you would get to go to your appointment right away. The doctors are so nice and fun to talk with! I'm so happy that I have my braces off now and get to smile as big as I can!

The Minnetonka team offered us a wonderful game plan that fit our parameters and provided the best solution for her specific challenges. I loved that they meet as a group and agree on a plan. That was truly a benefit to have multiple professional opinions rolled into one. Appointments were always timely and professional. All staff was kind and accommodating. Dr. Tiziani and her staff at Lake Minnetonka Orthodontics are the best...that's why we wouldn't trust anyone else with our smiles. We have many years of experience with them since they treated 3 members of our family. We receive compliments on our smiles and teeth on a regular basis. Dr. Tiziani and her staff are kind, helpful, knowledgeable, caring, fun and most of all perfectionists...hence the compliments! I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for our Orthodontic needs.

We have been going here for years. Each time I enter, I am amazed at the high level of personal customer service and attention. The marketing, the programming, the care is on point. There is no comparison. Dr. Tiziani and Dr. Carr have become like family as we have been circling their offices for so long with three total patients! We love this office and are 100% pleased with the results! I honestly will miss going when our last child is done! :)
