After graduating from Wesleyan University in Connecticut with a Master of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, Dr. Long Nguyen decided to pursue a career in dentistry. After graduating from Columbia University in New York City, Dr. Nguyen joined the United States Public Health Service (USPHS) to provide his services to areas where oral health professionals are lacking. He then packed his bags and headed west to serve as a commissioned officer on a Navajo Reservation in Kayenta, Arizona. He is grateful for such a wonderful experience; both professionally and spiritually.
After serving for two years with the UPHS, he moved back to the East coast in order to realize his dream of opening a private practice. Having practiced dentistry since 2003, he has established his practice in Gainesville, VA. Since improving patient care is of huge importance to Dr. Nguyen, he continues to attend a multitude of continuing education classes in order to keep up with constant changes in the field of dentistry.
Jennifer Charlesworth has been our treasured Dental Hygienist at Lake Manassas since 2010. Jennifer was born in Northern Virginia, and graduated from Old Dominion University. She began her career as a periodontal assistant where she first discovered her passion for dentistry. She later went back to school to become a dental hygienist. Jennifer enjoys traveling to new places, eating crazy food, and spending time with her family.
Taneilya has been a dental assistant for 13 years. Taneilya first worked with Dr. Nguyen in an office in Herndon, VA prior to joining him at Lake Manassas Dental Center in 2008. Since then, she has gotten married and has 2 beautiful children. She loves spending time with her family and traveling with her husband.
Kimberly was born Manassas, Virginia and has called Haymarket, Virginia her home since 1985. Kimberly has always known that her career would be in dentistry. She started dental assisting at the age of 16 and assisted until she graduated from dental hygience school in 1993.

Lake Manassas Dental Center appears to be aggressively addressing the pandemic. Not only the standard items & practices but lots of new gear to reduce creating aerosols during cleaning. Good job!

I have been going to the practice since it was opened. The office runs on time, is very clean, and the staff is very pleasant and courteous. Jen, one of the hygienist is very thorough and does a fantastic job at cleaning my teeth. I would highly recommend this office.

Staff is great! Friendly, efficient and very communicative regarding care of my teeth and always reacting fast to dental emergencies (even during COVID closures). I would highly recommend this office.

With so much anxiety and negativity associated with dentistry, finding a family friendly and sympathetic dentist was a priority for us when we first came here and we have had no regrets since. No drama with the kids' appointments, mine or with scheduling or billing. No complaints here.
