Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

All of the staff I encountered here during my appointment were absolutely amazing!!! I had Dr. Floayah, Kathryn, Kassy, and Juan on my Care Team for my exams, cleaning, and procedures. They are a very professional & personable staff..! They knew how to put me at ease. Their patient care is stellar; I didn't feel like they were robots or saw me as cattle. They all did well at explaining everything I needed to know and understand. They all made sure I was educated on my options, as well as what they were doing, so there were no unexpected surprises. I was blown away by the impressive skills of Kassy (she could easily be a dentist or surgical tech with the way she is during procedures!!), the expertise & personable bedside manner of Dr. Floayah (she was great at juggling my questions and my terrible jokes, too!), the bubbly attitude & eagerness to learn from Kathryn (you were a charm, and are doing great!), and the diligent cleaning from Juan. I did not catch the name of the wonderful lady who helped break down the money portion of the appointment, she has great patient care, too! What a wonderful Team, definitely put me at ease during my appointment!

I had a great experience at Lake Houston Smiles! As I entered the new, clean facility, the front desk staff warmly greeted me and made me feel welcome. Lana, my dental hygienist, patiently cleaned my teeth and scheduled my next visit. I look forward to going back.

I haven't have any problems with this office and the team. I had been going here for about 2 years now and i have major works without problems. The whole team had been very helpful and patient with my anxiety with dentists. Originally was with Dr. Khong and recently was with Dr. Cheema( i hope i spelled right) she is very sweet and careful also patient and gave me all the info that i need it. Also front desk team are very informative on every step and financial information, I can't leave out Ceasar with his exceptional work. Last time i was there was with the Surgeon and he did a great job I had to have my wisdoms teeth removed and as emergency because I was in so much pain and actually they where the only ones were able to schedule me really fast and the recovery was great. I hope im able to continue going and taking care of my mouth and they continue to give me such a good service in the future.

I was overcharged for unneeded services. I cannot get the dental floss between my teeth where the filling was placed. The dental assistant asked if the doctor was going to fix it and she said it would be fine. I will probably have to get it fixed at another dentist. I will not go back there.

This place is a rip off told me that my crown wasn't covered with my insurance just for me to come out of pocket. I spoke to my insurance company in the lobby and they told me that I was covered but the dentist office wouldn't answer Aetna's phone call nor did they reach out to my insurance company. They insist on me paying out of pocket for a crown $1,400 Please stay away from this dentist office total rip off.....

Originally this place was good. Changed front desk folks and they were completely rude. Actually left the desk and one customer was waiting for 40 minutes. They gave me problems even though I have 2 insurances for dental. I had to call my provider directly and they said there was no issue with the coverage! In addition daughter went in for cleaning with no cavities found. She then had a separate orthodontist check up 2 days later and they said she had a cavity and took a picture of it. Took her to different dentist for full evaluation and she actually had 2 cavities. Further they take X-ray of child's mouth each cleaning visit which is totally unnecessary especially when they can't find the cavity. It's a $ thing. Last, they force you to use an online scheduling app but don't allow you to do any scheduling in it. The whole place went to hell. It's too bad. We've moved on to FLOSS across the street. Good luck with this place. Client beware.

Dr. Khong is amazing. I was very nervous. But she helped me through that. She did a wonderful job on my teeth. Everyone at that office was very sweet and helpful. She is the best!

Horrible Service - Rude Receptionist. Do NOT use this office for a crown, especially the one they make in the office that costs more. Mine lasted 2 years before falling off. (I have had a lab crown for over 30 years with no issues). They try to blame the patient so they will not have to honor the warranty. I was told the crown that fell off would likely not fit since they couldn't fit me into me into the schedule for a week. Also was told I would most likely need a root canal before the replacement. I left their office very concerned especially after reading other Google reviews. I found a reputable dentist who referred me to a specialist. No root canal was needed. My new dentist had to repair issues caused by the original crown fitting. He replaced with a properly made lab crown and happily no more pain or issues. Less

Due to a change in our insurance, this became our new dental office. While the office and staff are nice, we had SO many issues from the start. The crowns they made were so poorly done and had to be redone twice. One crown cracked within 2 years and they refused to cover it because my daughter didn't come in every six months EXACTLY. We had set appointments months in advance that got cancelled or bumped time and again which really was a problem with our college students (including this daughter) who live out of town. I am so disappointed with the 3 year experience we had with Lake Houston Smiles.

this place is terrible!!! had an infected tooth and was given no pain meds or antibiotics. needed a root canal and i left worse off than when i arrived!! these people have no idea what they're doing. all five star reviews are false. DO NOT GO HERE.

They canceled my oral surgery appointment!! RECEPTIONIST told a lie. SHE SAID SHE CALLED ME 3 TIMES. BUT SHE NEVER CALLED ME. NO HISTORY. dentist and hygienist are ok, so friendly. just they have issue their appointment system. Just in case. my last time payment was $660 for deep cleaning.( after applying insurance)my husband paid more over $800.. I need breakdown of these. proper or too expensive?

What a terrible experience here. I had an appointment for a simple cleaning covered 100% by my insurance instead they wanted me to have an advanced cleaning that was not covered by my insurance and I would be out of pocket several hundreds of dollars. I told them I wanted what was covered by my insurance and they again pressed for the more expensive service but this time they offered me their "FREE" credit. I will be sharing this experience with Aetna so they are aware of how this company is extorting people during a pandemic. I highly recommend any other office.

Very disorganized office, appointments times given are always wrong. You take off work for an appointment time they give you and you arrive to find out they changed your time and didn't notify of changed times ( this happed three different times). Had a crown done and it was a disaster. Was fitted for a mouth guard and it never fit and was completely wrong. Was asked for simple school note for my son and it took three days to get when it should of been given at the time of visit when asked for.

I can't say enough how much I love this Dentist office. Everyone in their office is so personable and friendly. They make you feel like you have been friends for years. Dr. Khong really goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is a good one. She really actually cares about your health and works with you, rather than trying to upsell you on things you don't need. I love that they even cover you with a nice soft blanket while they are working on your teeth.
