Dr. Johnstone went to Fordham University, where she received her BA in Natural Science and minored in Environmental Studies. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2011 from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and completed her one year General Practice Residency at New York Hospital Queens (now called New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital). She has trained with Progressive Orthodontics Seminars and is a certified ClearCorrect aligner provider. She also completed Progressive Orthodontics Seminar on the relationship between Sleep Apnea, TMD (jaw joint pain), and Orthodontics.
Dr. Johnstone is active in organized dentistry as a member of the American Dental Association and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. She is the current president of the Fourth District Dental Society and attended the New York State Dental Association House of Delegates meetings. Previously, she was also the president of the Saratoga County Dental Society and the chairperson for the New Dentist Committee.

Today's appointment at Lake Hill Dental Care in Burnt Hills continues my happiness, comfort, and confidence in this practice. If I were to list desired elements of a dentistry practice it would be dentistry expertise, best equipment, clean modern rooms, personable caring staff, relative affordability vs other practices, and provided comfort for dental visit anxiety. This practice exceeds all of my expectations for these. Thank you!

Started coming here a couple years ago after a lifetime of dental neglect. Needed a lot of work and was beating myself up over it. Everyone here is so compassionate and free of judgement. We planned out everything that needed doing and not once did anyone utter any snarky remarks about it, or scolding. Every time I come in I am remembered and greeted specifically, and details of my life are asked about. I require some specific oddities like numbing taking 3x longer than normal, and this is always remembered visit to visit. I cannot recommend this office enough if you are at all anxious or neurodivergent. Would give 10 stars if I could.

It was busy at the office when I went for a cleaning today but I did not have to wait. Mike the dental hygienist did a very thorough job and identified a couple areas to be checked by the dentist. I need a crown replaced but they scheduled it to my satisfaction

Update 10/28/2022: We welcomed our daughter this year and she just got her first teeth recently. We went to Lake Hill Dental for her first appointment and everything went smoothly and she was very happy to be there. Definitely recommend going to Lake Hill Dental. As a new patient, I had a great experience at Lake Hill. I requested an appointment online and got a call back the following day. The receptionists were very nice and the office was beautiful. My dental hygienist was great, she checked to make sure I was doing ok throughout the cleaning. And the dentist was a pleasure to speak to as well. It's a lovely place with really nice people! Looking forward to my next appointment.

I had an awesome experience at the dental office. I was greeted immediately by a cheerful office person when I entered. My dental hygienist came to escort me to the treatment room after a very brief time. She was very pleasant and courteous in her mannerism. The hygienist expertly performed a preliminary exam of my mouth. X-rays were appropriately taken and read instantly through the modern digital technology in use. The cleaning proceeded flawlessly and painless and I was left with a sparkle on my teeth. I was then examined by the dentist and I felt I was in very competent hands. His demeanor and sense of humor was relaxing and his exam was completed without finding any issues with my teeth. We had a jovial conversation and it was mentioned that the reason for my good results was from having an excellent hygienist.

Lake Hill Dental Care is the Best Dentist I've ever been to! This was my third visit they have been so very pleasant and make you feel welcome. I've hated to go to the dentist for many years. I used to make up excuses to not go just because of the fear from when I was a kid. I will never miss another appt with this Dentistry! Thank so very much and I would recommend to everyone I know.
