Gordon Wiltshire was raised in Oswego before the name was changed to Lake Oswego. His father was a horticulturist who was responsible for planting many of the largest trees you see in the Portland area and had a gardening segment on KGW for many years.
Gordon put himself through dental school by working as a tennis pro and other odd jobs. He was in the first class that graduated from OHSU on Marquam Hill (known as the University of Oregon Dental School). In 1957, he graduated, and after a few years of practicing, opened this Lake Oswego dental office in 1960. He and his wife, Gail (of over 60 years), raised four children in Lake Oswego. Up until 2013, Dr. Wiltshire loved doing dentistry, seeing his patients, and adored his staff. It was truly one big family, with many of his patients who were there in the beginning still coming in today.
Multi-generations of families over the decades have been devoted patients of Lake Grove Dental. Dr. Wiltshire practiced dentistry in Lake Oswego for over 55 years and recently accepted Lake Grove Dentals award from The Willamette Falls Heritage Area Coalition Half Century Business Club. We miss seeing him in the office, although he drops by from time to time, his legacy lives on through Dr. Branen and all of the original staff.

Excellent! I moved to Lake Oswego recently and needed a dental facility. I could not be more thrilled with the service and employees. Top notch facility with the latest in technology. I was concerned about the timing of a new provider and they were able to accommodate me within a week. Highly recommend as a 68 year old person who has had a fair amount of dental work in my lifetime. Please consider Lake Grove Dental.

I came here in an emergency situation. My tooth broke while I was out to dinner for my birthday. So I was able to get in literally the next day and thank the lord for that because the broken tooth was doing a number on my tongue. In any case the dentist and the dental assistants were all so nice and took great care of me. I would definitely come to them again in another emergency or just for regular dental check-ups.

I've never felt so relaxed after leaving my dentist's office. My hygienist, Ruth Anne, was super welcoming and personable. She was gentle. Not once did I even flinch from discomfort. It was a very comfortable environment. The doctor was also just as kind. They answered all my questions and provide me with valuable information.

I've been getting my teeth cleaned at Lake Grove dental for a long time and they are always so nice. Every hygienist I've had has always been so good and it kinda feels like a family.

My experience with Lake Grove Dental was great. I had an urgent matter that needed to addressed sooner than later. I called Lake Grove and in the morning and Laura was able to accommodate an urgent visit. I felt very comfortable the minute I walked into the office. My issue was addressed in a friendly and profesional manner.I have to say that all staff was amazing and understanding of my issue. Thank you hygienist( I think her name Is Stephanie), Laura, and the friendly employee who took me home!

This is the very best dental practice I've ever been fortunate enough to find. Even though I moved from the Lake Oswego area in 2009, I remain their patient -- driving 3 hours round trip now for my care. The whole staff is just wonderful, caring and gentle. I unconditionally recommend them!
