Head Honcho In practice for over 30 years and armed with training from the prestigious Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, Dr Telthorst strongly believes in taking the time to understand his patients desires and individual situations.
A dental exam starts with conversation, not with teeth, he says. Its important that I have some understanding of the person that is before me. Only then can I recommend practical and appropriate dental treatment.
Dr. Telthorst is meticulous and thorough in his work, which includes porcelain crowns, veneers, bonded white fillings, oral surgery, and the treatment of periodontal disease. Patients hear these dental terms, he observes, but frequently dont understand what it means for them today and the implications for their future. Dr. Telthorst believes that part of his job is to educate patients about their dental treatment so they can make informed choices.

Dr. Telthorst is an exceptional dentist! He cares about his clients, taking time to find out exactly what they want as a result of their dental experience. The dental office is beautiful and clean. The hygienists and office personnel are also friendly and professional. For all of these reasons and more, I would definitely recommend Dr. Telthorst at Lake Forest Dental!

As all the other reviews have stated Dr. Telhorst is the best..I chose him as a new dentist based on the reviews and he definitely lived up to my expectations. I was very pleased with him and his staff. As a new patient it can be nerving when transitioning to a new doctor / dentist not knowing what to expect. Dr Telhorst immediately makes you feel comfortable and displays a genuine interest in his patients. I appreciated him getting to know me, he asked lots of questions based on what I wanted to achieve going forward w/ortho giving great advice. The exam was very through and NOT rushed. The hygienist did an awesome job..I'm so happy I took the chance based on reviews and excited to say I've found a new home of dentistry. Dr Telhorst meets the Gold standard and all 5 stars.

Dr. Telthorst is an excellent dentist! He takes the time to listen to your expectations regarding your treatment plan. Then, he explains the steps that it will take for him to execute the plan. Dr. Telthorst also asks how you are feeling throughout each procedure. His office staff; secretary, hygienists, and assistants are also friendly, kind and compassionate. For all of these reasons, I would highly recommend Dr. Telthorst at Lake Forest Dental!

My first crown was done well. My second crown was a failure from start to end. First, they had to retake impressions. Second, my temporary crown fell out as soon as I got home. This was fixed the same day. But now, a month after a permanent crown was cemented, it just came out while I was eating ice cream. Now this is an issue because it's supposed to last like at least 15 years. Like WHAT?? Not good. I thought the Dr was more experienced than this.

That's one place I don't mind going for appointments the staff is really nice and friendly. We have fun everytime I'm there .its so comfortable being there I luv the staff as and my dentist I recommend them to everyone. They make it very pleasurable to every patient
