Karen has worked with Dr. LaCosse for the past 21 years following her graduation from the UMD Dental Hygiene program. With access to the latest and greatest technologies and techniques, Karens career has flourished while working with Dr. LaCosse. Karen is married and has two daughters. She volunteers at Animal Allies walking the dogs and also enjoys fishing and keeping a small flower garden.
Joleen has 20 years of Dental Hygiene experience with a focus on patient education and treatment planning. Her degree was earned at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, MN. She enjoys spending time traveling, boating and attending sporting events with husband Randy and their four children.
Lori comes to our office as a customer service expert with many years of experience in the Private Banking industry. Born and raised in Duluth, married with two beautiful daughters, two dogs and two rabbits, she loves to spend her summers camping and her winters snowmobiling with her family.
I love meeting new people, helping our patients feel extra comfortable here, and finding ways for them to receive the care they want and need. I feel so grateful to have the opportunity to work with such great people!

I'm so happy with my experiences with this dental office. I feel so strongly that they want nothing but the best for their patients, whether it's just a check up, dental work, or cleaning. The whole office staff is so friendly, and most importantly, respectful of any fears you may have(like I did)and answer any questions. Dr. LaCosse is not only a great dentist, but his "gift" for cosmetic dentistry is amazing. If nothing else, go in for a consultation. You won't regret it.

First appointment (at any dentist in over 12 years). Staff was amazingly professional, courteous, helpful, and kind. Joleen took great care of me through all of the initial assessment - photos, x-rays, etc. Met with the dentist, Dr Lacrosse - he was also fantastic in explaining every step, test, and action. Great place - I have multiple appointments already set up for my treatment plan. If you are looking for a new or different dentist office, I strongly recommend you consider Lake Dental. I've now had 3 appointments involving anesthesia and two bite adjustment visits - I am extremely pleased with the outcome (I get positive comments on my teeth all the time) and continue to be impressed with their customer service. Strongest recommendation for Lake Dental!!

Today my mouth feels like it spent a day at the spa!!! I believe I had the best dental experience in five decades!! Wow!! Lake Dental is the bomb!! The office is warm and inviting, the front desk is so kind and helpful (Lori is a real sweetheart), I had the best hygienist on the planet (Joleen's the bomb!), Dr. LaCosse has great chair-side manner and discussed my current care and restorative care with such patience and kindness (and it turns out he's from my neck of the woods so that's a huge bonus!!), and finally, the outstanding service overall checked all the boxes!! Five stars for patient coordination (again, Joleen!), patient education, extensive knowledge, the latest technology, welcoming atmosphere, patient involvement, honesty and compassion and superb communication!! I never thought I'd ever look forward to another dental visit but it's the truth...I'm so looking forward to the rest of my care! Initially, after phone calls and text messages, I actually felt like they were looking forward to seeing me--what a concept! So when I walked through the doors, I had a gut feeling I was in good hands. That was my reality today and I want to share this with others seeking great dentistry!! If you dread going to the dentist, this is the difference between putting off regular necessary checkups and looking forward to preventive maintenance. Truly a phenomenal experience and highly recommended!!! Your mouth will thank you!!

Dr. LaCosse is an amazingly skilled and compassionate dentist! I am so grateful for his knowledge, expertise, and kindness! Not only has he fixed my teeth and smile, but he also fixed my bite so I no longer experience frequent headaches. The entire staff at Lake Dental is excellent! Just got a complete bite adjustment done, and I am astonished at how much better my bite is. Before my treatment, my molars were the only teeth in my mouth making contact whenever I chew. I always thought this was "normal," until Dr. LaCosse and his team of professionals did a full assessment of my oral health and determined I had a bite discrepancy. I always knew I clench and grind my teeth here and there, but I never thought these oral habits would permanently damage my teeth. In fact, I cracked and lost two molars already, and at the time, my past dentists were unsure as to why I keep cracking my teeth. At one point, a dentist even recommended I crowned all my molars, even though there wasn't anything wrong with them i.e. large fillings or cavities. When Dr. LaCosse proposed I do a bite adjustment, I was skeptical at first. I thought my teeth were functioning fine, but I didn't want to risk losing more teeth. I took a leap of faith and found after my bite adjustment; I had more teeth in my mouth to chew with! I'm no longer just biting on my molars but with all of my teeth. I can't tell you how much of a difference it has made. My biting forces are more spread out, and I no longer struggle with clenching and grinding. Even my boyfriend notices I chew quieter when I eat. I would highly recommend this dental office to anyone.
