I was born in Germany and immigrated to the United States at age 10, becoming a citizen at age 16. I decided on a dental career at age 14. My mother worked for three dentists, and she often took me along to clean the offices. One of the dentists took a liking to me and introduced me to the wonderful world of dentistry. I never deviated from that goal and still feel as excited about my choice of career now as I did 48 years ago.
I was born and raised in Oconomowoc WI. I graduated from UWSP with a biology major and chemistry minor, while playing 4 years of college football. I graduated from Marquette Dental School in 2010 and did a General Practice Residency at the VA hospital in Gainsville, FL. I am a member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, and theAmerican Academy of Facial Esthetics.
Like many dentists, my interest in the profession was piqued by a personal experience. As a young teen, I hit the back of a parked car while riding my bike and smashed my two front teeth. The dentist was able to eliminate my excruciating pain in the end, but the process was almost more painful than the injury itself. I remember thinking how great it would have been if the treatment could have been provided in a much less painful manner.
This experience genuinely shaped my approach to practicing dentistry. I strive to listen to my patients as people first. Then assess their needs and concerns in a comfortable, non judgmental environment.

In my free time I enjoy playing basketball and golf. But you can also find me biking, fishing or boating. I am a WI sports fan (Packers, Brewers ,and Bucks) and I am an aspiring DIY enthusiast. I love buying new tools, and could spend all day at the Home Depot!

I've been going to this dentist office for 6 or 7 years now and every experience has been awesome. I'm not a fan of going to the dentist (who is really?) but they make the process as smooth and painless as possible. Between dental emergencies, cavities, and general biannual cleanings, I can't recommend this practice highly enough.

Have been going to this dentist office since their opening! Staff has ALWAYS been fabulous! Had my teeth cleaned today by THE BEST hygienist out there.....Colette! She has been cleaning my teeth for so long....I consider her family. You can NEVER go wrong booking an appointment with Colette! Everyone at the office is friendly and makes you feel comfortable. My SIL recommended Lake Country Family Dental to us for our 1 year old. He has a labial frenulum (attached upper lip to gum) which results in gapped front teeth. I was looking for guidance on if treatment was necessary or not and a future dentist for our family. Dr. Holm was insightful and gave me piece of mind for our son's condition. Everyone was extremely friendly right from the initial call. Monica was also very caring and helpful at keeping our little one occupied while we waited. I highly recommend LCFD!

I had an appointment today (12-1-15). Life happened and I was forced to bring my 4 year old son (Blake) with me. Michelle was my hygienist. She was wonderfull! She was able to have a conversation with my son and clean my teeth simulataneously (big task). The Dr. even took Blake to the bathroom half way through the cleaning. Wow. My teeth look great and there was not any hesitation with my "baggage". A+.

After years of searching for a dentist in the Milwaukee area that I felt was (1) knowledgeable, (2) thorough, and (3) working in my best interest (not their own wallets') I moved out to Okauchee and tried Bergmann & Hohm. Hooray!! My long search was over, and it was love at first cleaning. I appreciated this office so much that even though I moved out of state 2.5 years ago, I specifically arranged business trips and family visits just so I could go back when I needed dental service. They (and their partners) did an excellent job on installing my implant for a very reasonable cost with an amazingly realistic-looking tooth. The only cavity I had filled was a painless and easy procedure -- glad they caught it early. I HIGHLY recommend this dentist office. If I am willing to travel 1,100 miles to continue as their patient, that has to tell you something! Thank you to the entire staff...you're the best!
