Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Awful office management. Constant scheduling issues. No convenience for patients. This dental practice lacks the proper staff to satisfy patient needs.

Updated 10/10/22: I went to Conroe Family Dentistry for a second opinion at my next 6 month appointment, and they said the measurements taken at Lake Conroe Dentistry (indicating serious, chronic issues with my dental health) were completely wrong. Conroe Family Dentistry took x-rays, did a routine cleaning, and found ZERO issues with my teeth or gums. Beware Lake Conroe Dentistry! Original Review: I've had routine cleanings every 6 months for years, and I have good dental hygiene at home. Since my regular dentist stopped taking my insurance, I switched to Lake Conroe Dentistry. However, at my first appointment, which was just a new patient check-up and cleaning, the dentist said I needed extensive work that would cost $945 ($3,215 without insurance). They were ready to do the work *that day.* Then they said I could no longer have routine cleanings and would need "deeper" cleanings *every 3 months* at $692 per appointment ($1,765 without insurance). When I asked about just getting my routine cleaning that day (which is completely covered by insurance), the dentist said they couldn't do it because it would make everything worse. The entire office seems to work together to push this message. It was high-pressure and very uncomfortable. I'm the kind of person who always trusts medical professionals, but at this appointment, everything in me was yelling, "LEAVE NOW." It was awkward, but I'm glad I left.

Absolutely amazing staff! We also had Dr. Rivera as a dentist in the past and were so excited to find out he is now at Lake Conroe Dentistry! Thanks to the team for making my 2 boys appointments seamless!

This Dentist office is a scam! Everything they have billed my insurance for has been denied, not to mention... I go to the dentist every 6 months never reported of any issues.. I went to them to have a crown replace to be told as he's drilling down past my gum that we will need to pull my tooth and either bridge or put an implant in that will cost 5K. The Dentist charged me for a scaling (gum cleaning) the same scaling we use at the vet to clean animals teeth. I got soaking wet from the procedure he put my temporary crown back on left the white cement all over my mouth and face, then had the dental assistant clean my teeth who has worked there right out of school 2 months! She painted a coating on my teeth which retained everything I have eaten days later I had to scrape it off. This office needs to be reported to the Dental board! This office is the reason people are scared of the dentist- I now have to find someone who can fix my crown and pray I don't need this tooth pulled! STAY AWAY FROM HERE

Worst dental experience ever I have gone to the dentist for regular cleanings twice a year came here because I'm new to the area wanted something closer than My dentist in Houston came for a cleaning was told I had extensive gum disease and bone loss I saw my previous dentist 6 months ago no mention of any of this I was told I couldn't get a regular cleaning needed deep cleaning and scaling at a ridiculous cost My experience is exactly as some of the previous reviews I left very upset after spending 1 1/2 getting nothing done

So I've found my permanent dentist office ,I w been here twice and the service has been amazing ,Dr Rivera is amazing ,the whole staff is just perfect and you can tell that they love what they do and I really appreciate that .Thank you so much for everything.I did notice some reviews complaining about the wait time and I would wait whatever time frame I need to wait for excellent work and the wait time is not that bad to begin with .

Dr. Rivera is amazing, I have never had any issues what so ever. I have been coming to him for the past 3 yrs or so and will still continue to come to him.

I should rate it even less than 1-star, worst experience ever. The dentist spent 10 minutes trying to convince me that my son needs a crown and should pay around $800+ whereas his tooth has only little carries. I left their place and went to another dentist who assured me that only one surface filling is needed, and no crown. Stop milking your patients...

THE worst dental office. Everyone is a contractor including receptionists and the dentists. They work remote so it's impossible to get anything scheduled. Regardless of emergency. This is day 3 I can't get anyone to call back after losing a crown immediately after a root canal. Absolute nightmare. Do not use this facility.

Amazing experience! It was a long day today with 3 different procedures and nearly 5 hours at their office. It didn't feel as long as it was because of how attentive and caring the staff was. Dr. Rivera is amazing and paid so much attention to the details! Jackie was also awesome! I didn't get everyone's name but suffice to say the entire staff was excellent. They all wanted to make sure I was happy with the job done, comfortable/not in pain, and respected the entire time I was there. 10 out of 10 will recommend.

I had been going here for years up until 6 months ago- I had a root canal and crown placed my last visit.Dr Rivera called me once I got home from my permanent crown being placed to tell me he would like to make an adjustment on the crown...I was fine with that. I make another appointment for an exam and am told that the tech put it on incorrectly and I have to have this crown replaced completely because there's a gap. I have paid for all procedures in full each visit, and am Now getting a notice from a debt collector that I owe 184 dollars from this place?! That would be a hard no, I have spent so much time and money at Lake Conroe Dentistry- and even paid for things I hadn't gotten done yet(I paid for a retainer for a dental implant, that I ended up getting elsewhere) and now I owe them money? I could keep going on but please save yourself the headache and frustration and don't pick this place for dental work. I am beyond frustrated with the way they operate and they seem more concerned with lining their pockets than caring for your health.

Excellent experience. Had a rather bad experience with my previous dentist and this more than makes up for it! Kudos to the very professional team!

If I could put a plus sign the score would be100+ . Over my years with my mouth problems and letting it go because a good dentist is so hard to find and to find one you would go back to NONO. A dentist that talks to you explains and takes time to explain. Then on top of great service by his staff NO PAIN BACK TOOTH removel. I am going back and getting my whole mouth fixed to where i can smile large agian. Please he is great Mr. Samuel Rivera D.D.S.

Crown Mill- tried to milk us both and never even cleaned our teeth. Here is a payment plan and you need 10k in work....They are a crown mill because they have a machine to mill crowns there. AVOID this and listen to those of us with some life experience.

Yesterday was my first time going to Lake Conroe Dentistry. Since moving down here I have had some bad experiences with prior Dentists. My experience here was great. I had a concern with pain I was feeling and they fit me in the same day. The staff were all extremely kind and professional. I Highly recommend this place. Dr. Patel was great.

I waited 1 hour and 40 minutes for a standard cleaning to begin. there was so much back-and-forth in and out of my exam room between the student hygienist and the new, young dentist (Who had to consult for a simple cleaning). After this one hour and 40 minutes he comes back in to tell me the benefits coordinator is going to come chat with me about payment options for some advanced treatment his hygienist said I needed...I was simply there for a standard cleaning and instead they toyed around with my time all morning long. I left without so much as a little bit of toothpaste being put on my teeth. Do not recommend this office.

They were running a promotion for a $75 teeth cleaning so I decided to take the bait. My husband went to an appointment first where he was told he had gum disease (they have posters for gum disease everywhere) and that it was probably causing his psoriasis (he has visible, severe psoriasis). They went on to tell him the MANY horrible things gum disease can cause just in your body. Of course, they came in with a payment plan and expensive treatments that needed to be done. I went a week or so later. I felt SO preyed on. When they went to do an x-ray they asked if I was pregnant or could be and I told them there was a small possiblity but we had been trying for several years so probably not. Once I got in the chair for the exam, of course I had gum disease too and they proceeded to tell me that IF I did get pregnant and had gum disease that it could cause a miscarriage. I was furious by the time I left. They specifically preyed on mine and my husband's health problems and tried to tell us if we didn't spend thousands of dollars to get rid of "our gum disease" with them that it would only get worse. I would never recommend them to anyone but if you happen to go in just don't share any of your health problems with them and once they give you a treatment plan that costs thousands go get a second opinion elsewhere then you'll see they're bogus. Also, they send you an email afterward asking if you were satisfied. If you select "yes" it takes you to this page to leave a review and if you select "no" then it does not.

I'd had horrible dental experiences until Dr Rivera opened his office on a Saturday morning, when they were closed, to see me. I arrived in agony and departed with little to no pain. His dental plan for me couldn't have been more perfect. I used to hide my smile. I used to have trouble simply eating. Now, because of this great group of people and this wonderful Dentist, I will smile loud and proud and I will eat whatever I'd like!!! Thank you Dr Rivera for giving me my smile back And thank YOU Mindy Bonin for making that very first phone call and everything you have done after that!!!
