Dr. Fauzia Khan is the founder and dentist of Lake Bluff Family Dentistry, which opened its doors to the community in June 2018. Her passion for dentistry lies in building strong relationships with her patents and promoting an understanding of each new patients overall dental health.
Dr. Khan grew up in Lake Bluff and attended both Lake Forest Country Day School and Lake Forest High School. She then continued her undergraduate education at the University of Chicago and completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Northwestern University Dental School.
Dr. Khan had the opportunity over the past two decades to work in private practices and community health centers. She held faculty positions at both the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of California San Francisco. Both positions were working with dental students whether in community dental centers or on the clinic floor. Dr. Khan also has advanced training from SPEAR Education where she has spent many hours of continuing education and clinical hands-on training.
Dr. Khan currently lives in Lake Bluff, IL with her husband, Dr. Nejd Alsikafi. They have five children who are now young adults and are still reminded by their mother to brush their teeth! Outside the office, Dr. Khan enjoys playing tennis, traveling, reading and spending time with her family.

Dr. Khan and her team make trips to the dentist pleasant. They're easy to speak with/to and explain next steps along the way. Clean modern offices with on-site parking makes it easy to get in and out. Scheduling is efficient and the practice utilizes latest technologies. The experience here leaves me feeling positive and refreshed.

Dr Kahn and her team took a great care of my 6 years old daughter and made her feel comfortable during the all process. We will definitely come again to dr Kahn dentistry because it's the best place around for kids and adults. We love it !!!

Dr Khan is truly the kindest person I have ever come across. I've always dreaded dental visits and have neglected my teeth. Dr Khan was gentle and just went with me on my pace- I'll always be thankful for her for allowing me to take charge of my oral hygiene! I love Dr Khan!

Dr. Khan came highly recommended by several local moms. I was in the 'market' for a new dentist anyway, so this timing was perfect. First off, no wait, which can't be said about many doctors. Dr. Khan (and tech, Selma) were kind, professional, honest, thorough, and gentle. I was lucky enough to have Dr. Khan do the cleaning herself and she talked me through everything. The office is small, clean, and had all the latest technology. I love that Dr. Khan is a local mom who has been in the area for many, many years. I've already made my husband and my dad their appointments and are encouraging other family members to go see her as well. Highly recommend - you won't be disappointed!

I switched to LB Family Dentistry a few years ago and it was the best decision I ever made. The entire team is thorough, professional and at the top of their field. They address your fears, whether those fears are about going in for a regular cleaning, extensive work or COVID. They present options when you need to budget for something .They explain things clearly. They treat all patients with patience, kindness and respect. They text to check in following appointments or even call. They observe COVID safety protocols. And they introduced me to the best dental floss ever so I'm more consistent with flossing. I wish I'd been going to them longer.

Dr. Khan and her staff make you feel like you are part of their family. They care about you and it shows in everything they do. I had a procedure done the other day and Dr. Khan called me that night just to check in and see how I was doing. The procedure itself went really well and I didn't have any pain at all once the novocaine wore off; which I was not expecting. The work she does is top notch. I highly recommend her and her team. :)

My experience rather with the dentist or the hygienist is that of a professional and empathetic dental practice. I haven't had any issue since I've started having my dental care done at Lake Bluff Family Dentistry and will continue to go there for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend them for anyone seeking dental care regardless of background.

Haven't had a dentist visit for a while, saw the good reviews and made an appointment. Dr. Khan and her team was super welcoming and friendly. When I first walked in, I was greeted by Dr.Khan herself and she immediately got me situated, even hang my coat and offered water. They explained everything in detail and walked me through everything. I appreciated the calming atmosphere, which makes a dentist visit not so scary. They were very transparent, got to know me, made sure all my questions were addressed, and tried to accommodate me. My biggest concern was insurance coverage, Dr. Khan reached out and offered different options and offered to work with me in providing what I need for insurance. Highly recommend Dr. Khan and her team!
