Dr. Griffin has a passion for patient care and strives to create beautiful, healthy, lasting smiles for patients in Shorewood. Prosthodontists specialize in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with missing or deficient teeth, and as such, she focuses on aesthetics and oral rehabilitation specifically in cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry.
Dr. Griffin graduated Cum Laude from Marquette University in 2007 and Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2010, where she also earned her certificate in prosthodontics. Throughout her training, Dr. Griffin received many honors including the Marquette University Ignatius Scholarship, Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholarship, Midwest Dental Scholarship, Zoepfel Morton Scholarship, Delta Dental Scholarship, and Wisconsin Dental Association Scholarship. She has presented at the Wisconsin Section of the American Academy of Prosthodontics and has participated in mission trips to Utah with the Academy of Prosthodontics to perform dental treatment for the Navajo Nation.
After obtaining her DDS, Dr. Griffin completed 3 years of rigorous education and residency beyond dental school to earn her advanced degree in prosthodontics. Her residency emphasized implant reconstruction, resolving implant-related complications, aesthetic dentistry, and removable prosthodontics (dentures and partial dentures).
When shes not at the office, you can find Dr. Griffin working with her husband on projects around the house, gardening, biking, and cooking. I don't believe I have ever experienced such terrible customer service anywhere! I made my first call a few months ago in regards of insurance information and the woman that I spoke to was very helpful and kind. I called back a few weeks ago because I had just a few more questions and the woman that answered this time was rude, talked with a bad attitude. She talked to me as if I was dumb or slow. The only dumb person on the phone was her! She thought she had put me on hold when I heard her load and clear telling someone "why are patients so dumb when it comes to insurance" I was shocked! I immediately hung up. I called once again a few days later and this time a gentleman answered. I asked him my insurance questions and he said he couldn't answer at this time because he was busy with a patient, but that he would call me back . It's been over a week and I was the one that had to follow up with the call he was supposed to make. I'm disappointed. I had heard great things about this office and was looking forward to become a patient there. Not anymore. Replying- Thank you for responding but I called back on Monday and Carissa answered the phone. The woman who called me dumb and was rude is still there. I guess you let the wrong person go. I have a two implants that need to be capped but I'm very bothered with your staff upfront. A little advice- have the gentleman and woman take BASIC customer service training or get those two out of there. My daughter in law recommended asking for Dr. Carolyn herself or the lab assistant. I will be calling this week to schedule my first appointment there I'm hoping Someone with knowledge answers this time.

Everyone at Lake Bluff Dental is warm, welcoming and provides excellent care. They had me in and out for a teeth cleaning in just 30 minutes. I highly recommend Lake Bluff Dental if you live in the area !

Dr Griffith is so amazing! I've been needing to replace my composites for years. It got to the point where I was self conscious of my smile. Dr Griffith did a spectacular job. The composites look just like my normal teeth, and I am so confident in my smile now. Can't recommend her enough!
