Dr. Leo received her B.S. in Biology from Fordham University. She earned her D.D.S. from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine and went on to complete a Residencyat Stony Brook University Hospital.
Dr. Leo is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and a member of the New York State Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry,and the Empire State Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. OSheas passion of helping others and working with people led her to a career in dentistry. Dr. OShea graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts where she spent time abroad doing service work in Cape Town, South Africa. She attended dental school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey as well as completed a General Practice Residency at Westchester Medical Center, a level- 1 Trauma Center. During her residency she received vast clinical and didactic training in all aspects of dentistry.
Dr. OShea is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, The New York State Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. OShea is an active board member for the KinderSmile Foundation.
Tara graduated from Old Dominion University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She has experience in many facets of dentistry with a strong background in periodontal care, implants, and periodontal surgery, along with a vast knowledge of general and cosmetic dentistry. She promotes the importance of good periodontal health as it correlates to overall medical health and takes a personal approach with each patient and their individual care. You will find Tara to be gentle, caring, friendly and thorough.
Jane is our front desk coordinator. She has been involved in the dental field for many years and loves greeting our smiling patients as they walk through the door. Our patients love interacting with Jane and her extensive background in dental insurance claims has helped our patients receive their maximum benefits. Jane loves country music and has a passion for animals.
Victoria is a Certified Dental Assistant and has been with Dr. Leo for over six years. Victoria enjoys working in dentistry and is always a team player. She loves meeting new patients and makes sure our patients are comfortable while they are receiving treatment. She is also fluent in Russian. Outside of work, Victoria enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She also enjoys practicing yoga and pilates.

Dr Leo and her staff are the absolutely best there is. I have bad anxiety at the dentist and they've all but healed brag on top of giving me a smile I love. So grateful I found them and grateful to them.

Seriously, who gave this place less than five stars? Let's find him or her and convince that person to change the rating. I have been coming to this office for well over a decade. When I tell people how excited I am to go see my dentist, I am usually met with looks of confusion. "Who gets excited to get work done on their teeth?" Well this guy does. It's like hanging out with that group of family members you don't get to see often but when you do, it's a good time. You are greeted by the friendly receptionists. Then the world's greatest dental hygienist brings you into the room and cleans your teeth and gums while entertaining you with stories from her life (use the fine china before your sons break it). Then Dr. O'Shea and Dr. Leo come in the room and the real fun begins. We laugh and smile and then they tell me I need braces. Then I remind them I have yet to finish bending my paperclips. Good times had by all including my insurance company since they receive a bill from Dr. Leo every four months. All joking aside, my favorite group of medical professionals. Best atmosphere out. Dr. Leo is THE BEST! I've never felt more comfortable with a dentist than I do with Dr. Leo. Staff is also super friendly. Love the "family" feeling I get when I go in. Highly recommend Lake Ave Dental for anyone looking for a dentist

I was deadly aftaid of dentists my whole life . I finally took the step to try a female dentist. From the moment l walked in the friendly Staff, Sally and Dr Leo made me feel so comfortable. I had my whole mouth redone without an once of pain. Everyone was cheerful and l actually looked forward to going to the dentist. My teeth came out beautiful. Dr Leo is a perfectionist!! Annette

The doctors and the staff are amazing. From the moment you walk in the door you feel the positive energy. They greet you and always wish you well. Everyone is nice and helpful, treatment is explained and my dental work gets completed without any issues. I can't wait to go back in 6 months for my next cleaning.
