Dr. Matthew Lahair is a Shrewsbury native who attended St. Peter-Marian High School where he played ice hockey. He graduated from St. Anselm College with a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) and majoredin Biology. He went on to receive his dental degree (D.M.D.) from the Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University. Following dental school he completed a two year residency program at Indiana University working at Riley Childrens Hospital and received his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry, and earned his masters degree a Master of Science in Dentistry(M.S.D.).
He is a Board Certified (2008)pediatric dentist, and he is a member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD), American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), Massachusetts Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (MAPD), American Dental Association (ADA), and Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS). Dr. Lahair has been working in private practice since July of 2007. He opened his dental practice, in partnership with Dr. Gallagher, in Worcester, MA in September of 2009. He and his wife, Melissa, currently live in Hopkinton, MA and have three wonderful children their eldest daughter Anna and her younger twin siblings Natalie and Austin.
Dr. Patrick McGary graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in biology and a minor in chemistry from the State University of New York at Purchase. After college, Dr. McGary attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree. Following dental school, Dr. McGary stayed at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and Connecticut Childrens Medical Center for an additional three years where he completed two post-graduate residency-training programs to receive his certificates in Advanced Education in General Dentistry and Pediatric Dentistry.
Following dental school, Dr. Anna completed a one year General Practice Residency at Rhode Island Hospital and then an additional two years of training in pediatric dentistry at the NYU-Lutheran Pediatric Dentistry Specialty Program in Providence, RI where she served as chief resident in her second year. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.Dr. Anna is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Paul Shamirian was born and raised in Cranston, Rhode Island. He attended Brown University where he earned a Bachelor of Science (Sc.B.) degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society and the Honos Civicus Society for contributions to community service. He stayed at Tufts for an additional two years to receive his specialty certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Shamirian is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, and Northeast Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Ted Gallagher was born and raised in Worcester. After South High School, he received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University. He graduated from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and completed his internship and residency at the Childrens Hospital Medical Center in Boston.
A faculty member at the Harvard/Childrens Hospital Program, he is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts/Memorial Dental General Practice Residency. He and his wife, Jodi have 2 married children and 3 grandchildren. Dr. Ted, a 30 year member of the Greendale Y, lives close enough to the office to run home from work.

They've gotten better, and Dr. McGary is great. They've gone through several changes, and I'm not thrilled that the administrative burden of moving to a new online system has been passed to the patients. When you have multiple children, and they require you to perform data-entry for each, to support their system move, it's frustrating. Not only is the data entry tedious, but it's poorly designed, and requires entering the same data (including the child's name) multiple times, and not remembering info previously entered. Many required fields do not provide choices necessary to answer truthfully, and forces responses where none should be an option. Also requires signature with a mouse, which is not reasonable or ADA-compliant.

We've had only good experiences with both my young kids there. Dr. Matt is wonderful and all his hygienists are kind, patient and so kid friendly. We've been patients for nearly five years now.

Dental staff is great, front desk staff is rude and will harass you and your family if a bill is left unpaid 10 days after being sent. Staff has been rude to us on the phone and in person.

Today was my daughter's first dentist apt. She is 16 months old. The staff was very friendly and prompt. Dr Anna was kind and informative. I am happy to have found this dental office

I cannot speak more highly of our experience! I brought my 3 year old for his first dentist appointment and it was a breeze. Our dental hygienist, Sarah, was AMAZING. I truthfully don't even have words. She was patient, playful, explained everything she was doing to make my son SO COMFORTABLE. We all laughed the whole time. The doctor was just as amazing. While making my little guy comfortable and laugh he also took his time speaking to me about any questions or concerns I had. He even let the little man pick out 6 prizes. Seriously, such a great office environment, my kids will be going here for life and I hope to get Sarah every visit!!

We love your office. Everyone is so kind, friendly and patient with my daughter. They are very understanding of our concerns and take the time to address them. I was super impressed when Dr. Lahair hugged my daughter when she was clearly not feeling her best. He was so genuine. I feel so comfortable bringing my daughter to your office. I know she is in great hands. Thank you for being so fabulous.

They are so warm and welcoming! They make sure that the experience in the actual dental chair is kid friendly. I never feel rushed. They always take the time to make sure my son is comfortable!

It was my daughters fist time at the dentist and have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Anna and her staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and made my daughter feel very comfortable! We can't wait to go back!

Everyone who worked with us was amazing.... I felt comfortable with having my toddler son in their hands. I learned a lot from the dentist, and now our brushing routine is easier and more effective. I'm very happy my son is a patient here.
