Dr. Fang is a graduate from UCLA School of Dentistry. She holds Bachelors of Science degree in Microbiology , immunology and molecular genetics form UCLA. Dr. Fang has over ten years of clinical experience. She is a highly skilled cosmetic and family Dentist.
Dr. Petit has been practicing Cosmetic and Family Dentistry since 1991. She completed her Undergraduate studies at the University of California Irvine and received a Bachelors of Science degree in both Biology and Psychology. Upon graduating, she then went on to complete her education at Southern Illinois University where she received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine. She was involved in the fraternity Delta Sigma Delta , which is also the oldest international Dental Fraternity, while at SIUs School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Petit has a passion for cosmetic dentistry and is continuously works on furthering her knowledge by attending continuing education courses. It is her goal to earn the confidence and trust of her patients because she truly appreciative them as individuals as well. Dr. Petit strives to deliver the best dental care possible and to achieve an aesthetically perfect final product for her patients. She is most proud of operating a small dental practice that enables her to focus on building real connections with her patients and helping them in any way possible.
Dr. Shunk became a Dentist after a short career in the field of Engineering. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of California where he received a Bachelors of Science in Physics. He then attended Southern Illinois Universitys School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine.
Upon graduating, he stayed for one year at Southern Illinois Universitys School of Dental Medicine to do research. During that time he published the article In vitro and in vivo measurement of remaining dentin thickness. Dr. Shunk provides high-quality dental care and focuses on cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, and implant procedures.
Monique oversees the day-to-day functions in Laguna and has been in the dental field for over 14 years. She is passionate about using her vast knowledge of dentistry to help patients understand and utilize their insurance to its fullest. Monique welcomes every patient that walks through the door and brings a lot of fun to the office. When she is not working, she loves spending her free time with family and friends.
Myrna has 12 years of experience in the dental field and began working for Dr. Shunk and Dr. Petit in 2000 as a Dental Assistant. Her job enables her to assist the doctors in all aspects of dentistry. She truly values the relationships she has with patients and provides the best service possible. Myrna is extremely dedicated.
Fabiola has been in the dental field for over 17 years, first as an assistant and then advancing her career as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Fabiola is personable, caring and extremely, motivated. She enjoys being a part of our team in delivering beautiful smiles and in her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Alicia has been a dental hygienist since 2001. Her passion for dental hygiene started while she was a registered dental assistant. She completed her hygiene program at Southwestern College in San Diego and gained experience working at the Naval Station in San Diego where she treated many challenging and diverse cases. Alicia provides the highest quality of care for our patients. She loves her profession and values the impact dentistry has on peoples lives. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends anddont forgetshopping!

Absolutely the very best!The receiptist, she is so charismatic, incredibly friendly. I easily get nervous when seeing doctors. Beautifully decorated office with relaxing atmosphere. During the operation, the assistant very attentive. Great treatment from Dr. Angela. - PS. Thank you for rectifying and giving me the proper instructions on how to floss teeth. Very respectful of my time and sensitivity level. Again, everyone was very courteous, will definitely be back and will definitely recommend to friends & family. (I'm so bad at remembering people's name.)

I guess all good things must come to an end. The team of Drs. Petit and Shunk and their beloved staff does not hold a candle to Dr. Fang. I found the new office to be rude, and the Dr to be a bit rough and abrasive. I also find it very odd that the website contains photos of people who no longer work there! Very misleading Dr.Fang. I didn't want to drive to Upland, but if that's what I have to do..than so be it!

If I could give Dr. Shunk and his team 100 stars I would. Even that wouldn't be enough. When I first met Dr. Shunk and his team I wasn't sure I would ever have a smile that made me feel confident. As a child I had an ice skating incident that damaged my teeth, killing the nerves in the top front teeth. For the past 20 years I have lived with discolored, off center teeth that really affected my self confidence. My first appointment with Dr. Shunk was like a breath of fresh air, I could finally see a light at the end of a very long tunnel. He was kind and patient, understanding and supportive. He helped me come up with a plan to get the desired look I have been longing for. Rosa and Mirna at the front desk were INCREDIBLE in helping me schedule appointments and keeping us on task with all that needed to be done. Dr. Shunk and his whole team were EXCEPTIONAL. I can never express the gratitude I have for them, I finally feel like I can live my life to the fullest. I can smile again without feeling ashamed. Thank you for all that you do!

Dr. Fang was great. I had a huge cavity and very close to root canal. She carefully fix it and I could avoid painful and expensive root canal. The whole staff were friendly as well.

A few years ago I was lucky enough to find Dr.Shunk and Dr Petit I was very afraid of going to a dentist. Dr. Shunk is very reassuring, answers all my questions, has a gentle touch, and has never caused me any pain during numerous procedures including filling cavities, crowns, etc. My fears of dentistry have greatly reduced since coming to this office. I also get my teeth cleaned here too.Mo in the front office, and Myrna who assists in the back office, are always welcoming , professional, friendly and do everything they can to ease my anxieties and make the experience a positive one. They are the best! I would gladly refer anyone to Dr Shunk or Dr Petit at Laguna Niguel Cosmetic Dentist.

I LOVE Dr. Shunk and Dr. Petit! I cannot recommend them highly enough. I always manage to bring dental emergencies and crises their way... and they are ALWAYS kind, compassionate and responsive. :) I have had two absolutely pain free crowns; my husband and daughter have had equally fantastic experiences. They are talented dentists and truly wonderful people. I enjoy my visits to their office (kudos to their staff, as well!)

Have been coming here for years after an emergency with my front tooth brought me in. They provide exceptional care and all staff are friendly and pleasant to be around. There are many compliments to give Laguna Niguel Cosmetic Dentistry as I write this personal review all the way from Arizona. Thats right Arizona! After almost 15 years of practical and cosmetic Dental care I wouldn't go anywhere else. I moved to AZ a couple years ago and still commute to get trustworthy practical dental care. Mo the office Mgr who has a great respect and kindness is dynamic in personality making you feel at home. Dr. Petite and Dr. Shunk are amazing dentists as well as people. They give honest assessments of what work needs to be done. They are very gentle with shots, make you feel comfortable while giving treatment and both are very kind. I give all 5 stars and highly recommend them.
