Dr. Bigdeli is a published author and former university lecturer. She received her D.D.S. from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California. She is also an active member of the Academy of Orthodontic Excellence, the World Federation of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists. She has volunteered at the Ayuda Clinic in Los Angeles, performing dental work for underprivileged children, and at the USC Orthodontic Clinic. Dr. Bigdeli has treated many children and adults with complicated cases that required extensive knowledge and experience of aesthetics and function to achieve the desired results.
When Dr. Bigdeli is not busy at the office making her patients smile, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and swimming. As a mother of two sons, she knows how important it is that parents and children understand what they can do to help achieve the best results from their orthodontic treatment. Dr. Bigdeli speaks English and Farsi.
Your anesthesia care will be provided by Dr. Bankie, a board certified Dentist Anesthesiologist, who has dedicated her practice to the delivery of anesthesia and sedation services to the dental profession only. Dr. Bankie is a Diplomate of American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. This credential is the highest level of anesthesia training that can be achieved in dentistry. She actively holds certifications in Basic Life Support, Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Dr. Bankies career in the dental health profession started in 1993 when she obtained her bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Southern California. She advanced her education and attained a Doctoral Degree in Dental Surgery from USC. She then continued on to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and completed her postdoctoral credentials in dental anesthesiology.
Dr. Bankies medical training included Loma Linda University Medical Center, a trauma facility with sixteen operating rooms, Riverside County Medical Center, and Jerry L Pettis Memorial Veterans Hospital where she treated patients with compromised medical histories for various medical procedures, and rotated through cardiology, internal medicine, acute and chronic pain management. She received further specialized training at the Special Care Dentistry Clinic at the Loma Linda School of Dentistry, which sees nearly five thousand patients annually, primarily pediatric and adult special needs patients.
Kevin Kit, DMD is a general dentist practicing at Laguna Dental and Orthodontics in Laguna Niguel, CA. Dr. Kits first priority is making sure his patients receive the best care possible in a comfortable and happy environment.
A native to Southern California, Dr. Kit attended the University of California, Berkeley where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology and Economics. He attended the Western University of Health Sciences, College of Dental Medicine in Pomona, CA and received his doctorate degree in 2018. Dr. Kit is a member of the American Dental Association and California Dental Association.
Dr. Kit has taken numerous courses to expand his skill sets and keep his clinical knowledge up to date. These courses include molar endodontic treatment, surgical third molar extractions, and implant placement and restoration. His passion for dentistry comes from his philosophy of being a lifelong learner. The gentleman Mauricio is so wonderful he did by far the best work I have ever experience. Now a days it's very hard to find a good dentist he was awesome ! I truly recommend this dental office they also have wonderful and nice staff at the front desk.

Dental offices make me very anxious, however the second I walked in the staff instantly made me feel comfortable. Jennifer and Hazel who work at the front were very friendly and helpful with answering any questions or concerns I had. The assistants also made the experience pleasant by making conversation, lowering my anxiety. Dr. Bigdeli was very professional and provided me with new insights I had never heard before. Overall best experience I have had at any dental office and no longer feel stressed about going back to her as a dentist. Highly recommend this office!

First time patient here and my experience was amazing! I called mid-day because one of my wisdom tooth had been hurting all weekend, by Monday my mouth was throbbing. I called and they gave me a same day appointment which was awesome.. first dentist I called and they were able to take me in without me having to call other offices to see if they availability. When I arrived Hazel, Taylor and Jennifer, were very helpful. Jennifer explained to me how to fill out the registration forms so I wouldn't have to ask any questions. Ali was very sweet in taking my x-rays and seating in my room. Dr. Pauls energetic personality made me very comfortable as he was numbing me. He was very educational in the procedure he was about to do which is extract one of my wisdom teeth. Ada was very attentive to see if I need anything and I was comfortable. Definitely best staff. Dentist offices could always not be the best experience but I will definitely recommend this office with friends and family.

Horrible experience at this dentist. Have had numerous issues and today was horrendous. My husband went for his first visit and we have dental insurance. He was forced to wait 3 hours, had xrays taken and then was literally given a 5 minute teeth cleaning by a non hygienist. We asked for additional time and a more thorough cleaning and were refused. They then illegally took a $100 check from us saying we owed a deductible. We later called insurance and they said NO deductible for preventative services. We have requested a refund and found administrative staff to be uncooperative. We have filed a complaint with our insurance and told them to refuse the claim and NOT pay this unethical practice. DO NOT GO TO this dentist or practice. They continually try to upsell and say we are not eligible for free teeth cleaning and need to pay extra for deep cleanings. They rescheduled earlier appointments without notification and I am very unhappy with their lack of professionalism.

After four years of not visiting Ms. Fariba Bigdeli, for reasons that have already occurred and I explain, today I thought that maybe her behavior and character has changed and I will visit her again, Today by setting an appointment to fill Two of my teeth had small caries (cavity) and the other one was sensitive and annoying and a deep cleaning , I went to her office , after the usual preparations (X-ray), after a few minutes a young and unknown gentleman Without introducing himself, he put on gloves and tried to look at with dental tools inside My mouth (unprofessional behavior) and... after I asked him who are you, said Dr...., i was surprised cause Ms Bigdeli didn't introduce him and I didn't know him, he went out. After Dr. Bigdeli came and we talked and explained the reason for the visit to her, she paid more attention to the empty space of one of my teeth that I lost a few years ago and careless of my discomfort and reason to visit today she tried to explain harder to satisfy me for the implants, Something I was not prepared for(SO SHE CAN MAKE MORE MONY). Finally, emphasizing my discomfort, it was decided to first repair my decayed teeth and then do a deep cleaning. A few minutes later another assistant came in and asked me to pay the extra price for , which was optional and was a choice I did not make. she refused filling my teeth and made excuses, and made excuses for deep cleaning also and used the dental insurance authorization as an excuse, which was not an issue before Im not choosing optional extra price. The patient is a customer for her, and all her efforts are to milk the customer and not treat the patients. It is very unfortunate for me and her A SHAME IS. definitely will report it to my dental insurance which she has a contract with.

I knew this center by referral Dr. Mohammady and I am very happy to chose Dr. Bigdeli a s my orthodontist. I got benefit from the knowledge and experience of Dr. Mohammady and Dr. Bigdeli to have my own teeth ( hidden teeth) instead of implant or doing the bridge!!! Also I had the best cleaning in this center. She has very professional team and her staffs are very friendly and help you to have a good feeling to come there...

We had a great experience at Laguna Dental and Orthodontist! My 5 year old daughter had to get some work done, and was terrified going in for this appointment! Thanksfully, they were so good with her! They really went above and beyond to ensure she had a positive experience and they put my mind at ease and really made sure we knew exactly what was going on at all times. She went from dreading going to now not wanting to leave! We will be back!

Very sweet staff. I broke a couple of brackets after I got my braces and they were nice enough to fix them for me for free. They make you feel comfortable and are willing to work out payment plans with you. Would recommend this place to anyone with dental anxiety as it is a very relaxed atmosphere

I highly highly recommend Laguna Dental & Orthodontics. This place is awesome! A place of great, friendly, kind, caring, polite, and professional people!! I just got my braces a couple of months back, and every time I go to them, the experience is enriching and friendly. All the staff members, and the doctor, Dr. Fariba Bigdeli is extremely soft-spoken and polite. Dr. Fariba is very knowledgeable and passionate about her work. They work in the most professional manner. Katie is amazing, she is the receptionist of the clinic. She is very professional, helpful, and sweet. Katie keeps track of all records and appointments in an organized manner. Also, they're open on Saturdays- love that!!! I would highly recommend awesome Dr. Fariba to friends and to anyone!

I've been a patient of Dr. Fariba Bigdeli for about five years now and would highly recommend her. She's very professional, caring, and friendly dentist. I feel really comfortable having her as my dental provider. The office is super nice and a great environment, and a fun place to go to.
