I really liked this office. When I walked in I was greeted by this wonderful front desk lady. She welcomed me and explained all the services that they were going to complete that day, which included cleaning, x-ray and exam.The assistants were so friendly and gentle when taking x-rays. Doctor and hygienist were great! They completed the cleaning and exam. Also, they offered to complete treatment same day. I was very impressed by their service and definitely noticed the care that they have for their patients.

Currently sitting in an office in NYC getting an onlay removed that this office put on. They left the onlay too high even though I came back twice to have them shave it down. The root of the tooth necrosed, and I needed to get a root canal at the oral surgeon. As I mentioned, the dentist is now removing the onlay and will be making a new crown for it. I have spent several thousand dollars fixing this mistake. Do yourself a favor and don't get an onlay (or maybe a crown) here.

I went in for a routine 6-month cleaning, and they told me that I had to do X-rays if I wanted the cleaning. A new girl who didn't know what she was doing shoved things down my throat making me gag several times and had to be shown how to do it correctly. It took over 30 minutes. Then they took some pictures of my teeth without my permission or knowledge of what they were doing so they could charge me an extra 90$ out or pocket cost. No dentist ever looked at the pictures or X-rays and gave me feedback or even met with me during my 2 hour visit. Then they sent someone in under the pretense of doing the routine cleaning that I came in for, and she did a periodontal exam- no cleaning. She recommended additional cleaning services that were out of pocket costs, an upgrade from the routine cleaning. I said no, I just came for the routine cleaning. She said she wouldn't do it unless I paid for the extra services. I complained, and then they sent the same new girl who didn't know what she was doing to simply brush and floss my teeth. No professional dental cleaning whatsoever. She didn't even have the license to be "cleaning" my teeth. When I told her a routine cleaning involves removing plaque she said "it's called calcium" and that she didn't know how to do it. 2 hours of no dentist interaction whatsoever and this girl pretending to give me a routine cleaning and I left. And they still had the audacity to charge me extra for pictures I never gave permission for, no cleaning, and no dentist interaction. I will be reporting them to the Colorado Dental Board.

Update: After my visit and insurance paid I am left paying additional fees for an "upgrade" charge. There were no upgrades it took forever to even get my cap correctly done and I was told me paying 1300 and my insurance paying over 1200 would be all owed. I called today and the gentleman helping even says he has never seen charges like this and if your own employees think something is sketch then you are dishonest. I will be fighting these charges and waiting for a manager to call me back. I stand by that DR. Stacy and Cassandra were phenomenal. Beyond that extremely disappointed.

I was a patient here for 3.5 years. I would schedule my cleanings 3 months out and frequently would get a call the day of telling me I had to come in at a different time or the appointment would need to be cancelled. Lots of turnover with dentists. At my most recent appointment I encountered the rudest person at the front desk. To the point that I had to leave and I didn't go back for my cleaning. I have found a new office. The hygienists were always wonderful and friendly.

I wish I could give zero stars. This place, just like it's sister: Boulder Modern, are fraudulent. They won't do a basic teeth cleaning that insurance would cover. Instead up-sell and try to convince you do procedures that insurance won't cover. This is why people avoid the dentist.

I never write reviews, but the service I received here is worth the time! I was able to book a same day appointment. Every single member of the staff was friendly and professional. They went above and beyond for me, and I highly recommend a visit to Lafayette Modern Smiles for excellent care.

Modern Smiles in Lafayette, Colorado, deserves an excellent rating. My treatment is consistently of the highest quality as is the service and information provided to make informed decisions. The office protocol for CoVID keeps me safe and confident that all measures are being taken into account. Staff is well trained and very personable.

edit: when i initially contacted them several months back they responded promptly and the times afterwards they did as well, within hours even. however once my insurance sum was spent it seems they no longer have cared about responding to my dental concerns and work i'd like to have done. it took two messages over two weeks to get a voicemail not responding to anything i asked, simply telling me my bill was paid and i didn't have any funds left with my insurance but i could contact them with any other questions. i contacted them again and never received any response. really disappointed in the fact that there was zero effort in responding or trying to answer my questions once my insurance couldn't cover any further portions. --- i was a little nervous going in due to the negative reviews, however out of the ten + dentists office i'd contacted they were the only to contact me back and in a timely manner at that. they continued to answer any of the questions and concerns i had up until my appointment. when i went in, they performed the x-rays as needed, and were very attentive. once they figured out what i'd need done they showed me directly on screen and communicated it with me openly, they also helped me by deciding we should focus on one small area and slowly work on others as time goes on. before going through with anything they showed me a list of the charges and what i'd be charged for and the total with my insurance, they even took off everything i didn't want to do at the time or at all. they were also open to a payment plan, which i really needed as someone who pays for things on my own, at no extra cost which was beneficial for me too. during the long long (and i mean long!) day at the office they were very attentive and regularly checked in on me when we were waiting for things or even while they were performing things, it helped make things more relaxing. i ended up having to wait a little longer than planned for nitrous so they even ended up taking that off my bill as well which i really appreciated. they also set up a follow up to make sure i was healing properly, while the last dentists i'd been to had no desire to do so. when i had questions after they also promptly replied to my email with no hesitation. i definitely recommend them and will be returning here.

In support of others who have had a similar experience, this business has fraudulent practices. My daughter went in for a cleaning and they did additional services without explanation or approval of costs. The bill sent to insurance was over $2700. They wanted over $700 before she left. Even if they did perform the level of service they claimed (many of the services were "unspecified"), the insurance EOB said I owed much less, but they have not provided any credit after numerous calls, a BBB complaint, and insurance involvement. Beware of this business

Terrible customer service. Put on hold for 9 minutes, never checked back in. Called back held for 6 minutes. Called back, NASTY receptionist told me she was with a CUSTOMER, to call back. That says it all, thought I was a patient but guess it's all about the $. Too many choices to be treated rudely.

I had an all around positive experience for my couple of visits. Everyone there is very friendly. Dr. Baron is clearly very knowledgable and highly skilled, and has a delightful personality. I definitely recommend going to them for dental care.

Dr. Tsang is a real gem! So happy to find a dentist of her caliber under my middling insurance plan. She was warm, kind, smart, clear and noticed things other dentists have missed. Pain was minimal. So grateful to her and her team. I will be coming back no doubt. Five stars for Dr. Tsang, four for the at times dated facility. They have some cutting edge ewpment but the chairs are literally the same kind they had at ever dentists office in the 90s. Almost turned me off but so happy I stayed for the excellent care and great prices.
