Dr. Brian C. Leypoldt (Dr. Brian) was born and raised in New Jersey. He attended the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and graduated in 2009 in the top 5% of his class. He then went on to receive his Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters of Science in Dentistry from the University of Colorado in 2012.
From 2012 until he opened his own practice in November of 2018, Dr. Brian worked with the underserved communities of Colorado, treating the most difficult cases in the state. Dr. Brian is excited to bring the knowledge he gained during that time to help deliver the best orthodontic care to Lafayette and the surrounding communities.
Dr. Brian is expertly trained to treat adults and children alike, with both traditional braces and clear aligner therapy. He looks forward to finding the right combination of treatment for his patients to help them attain their most beautiful smile. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Colorado Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Boulder/Broomfield County Dental Society.
Dr. Brian lives in Erie, Colorado with his wife Carrie and their dogs Winston, Banjo, and Cooper. He enjoys traveling, bluegrass music, soccer, and any activity that gets him outside to appreciate all that Colorado has to offer.
Kayleen graduated from dental assisting school in 2014 and has been working in orthodontics ever since. She never gets tired of seeing the transformation of our patients as they achieve a beautiful smile and a new found confidence.
Kayleen is blessed to have a handsome 5 year old son who keeps her on her toes and a close relationship to her family. In her spare time you will find her at the gym or out hiking on a nice sunny day. Despite being only 51 she is an amazing volleyball player!
When she is not busy helping patients at Lafayette Family Orthodontics, she is enjoying the outdoors with her two energetic puppies, Chata and Frida. She also loves spending quality time with her family.
Tauscha grew up in Kansas City (Yes, shes a long time Chiefs fan) and she decided in 2010 to make Colorado her home. She has been in the orthodontic industry since 2011, where she has worked as a scheduling coordinator and orthodontic assistant. Tauscha is excited to be part of the team at Lafayette Family Orthodontics and getting to know the patients and families during their orthodontic journey.
Tauscha loves spending time with her daughter and husband, together they enjoy watching sports, being outdoors and traveling. When shes not with her family, she enjoys working out, listening to podcasts, reading and spending time with friends.
We utilize the latest technology in orthodontics to make sure your experience with us is a pleasant one. Gone are the days of gagging on runny impression material. The CS 3600 Intraoral scanner can capture a perfect digital impression of your teeth every time, without all the mess. The 3D images captured with the scanner can then be printed on the in office Formlabs 3D printer to shorten turn around times. A number of appliances can be made from the 3D scans of your teeth. Dr Brian is excellent and always energetically friendly. My 8 year old looks forward to all visits and loves having braces. I not only trust Dr Brian Leypoldt and his team, but I also appreciate how easy appointments are and how clean their office is as well.

Due to frustration and miscommunication with my last Orthodontist, I came across Lafayette Family Orthodontics. After my first consultation, they assured me the concern I was experiencing was not going to require long, expensive, and advanced treatment, as I was told by my former Orthodontist. Instead, Dr. Brian and his staff were able to get my concern resolved in less than 1 month with aligners. I was thoroughly impressed with this facilities equipment/technology and was confident that I was getting the best care possible. Dr. Brian even went out of his way to reach out to personally call me one evening to see how things were coming along. I could not be happier with my results and my experience with this staff. Fantastic communication, warm atmosphere. Highly, highly recommend!

I am visiting from Canada, and my permanent brace was loose. Dr. Brian and his team are so nice and professional. Provide me with some solutions and we had a great communication before start the treatment. During the treatment, Dr. Brian is very professional and gentle. Quickly fix my permanent braces and also adjust my movable braces for me. Highly recommended. Thanks Dr. Brian and team

I have two kids that are receiving treatments from Dr. Brian and staffs and we have been coming here for 4 months plus now, and I can't say enough about the superb services Dr. Brian and his staffs provided. I had interviewed alot of ortho around Longmont, Boulder, Firestone and strongly believe I have found the best for my kids. Both my kids and I were so pleased, we signed up with Dr. Brian on the same day the free consultation services were given. The 30mins drive from Longmont is simply not bothering me when I know he is the best. Ms. Shannon not only very friendly but she also work her best to get us into every emergency and every visit. Dr. Brian works extremely well with kids and adult(which is key, in my book), very knowledgeable in his field, and most importantly, he takes his time with his patients as he truly care for them and for his work. I think everyone should make an free consultation appointment with Dr. Brian before deciding on which orthodontist to choose. He will surprise you as he and his staffs are just simply outstanding! updated(11/10/2020) Dr. Brian updated me today my kids progress and that they will be done with treatment in a few more months. It will be a sad (not able to see them monthly) and happy day(my kids have beautiful alignments) the day when both my kids are done with the treatment. I also want to note that I am so happy for Dr. Brian when I see more and more patients come to him for treatments and he and his staffs are simply the best and you just want to see them grow and receive what they deserve.

Great experience for both my wife and oldest son. Dr. Brian is amazing, and he has a beautiful office. Extreme wow factor with digital impressions, really cool technology, didn't have to gag on goop to get a retainer made!

Dr. Brian is an excellent orthodontist!! From the initial consultation to my followup visits, I have received only the best care and a thorough understanding of how to make my smile the best it can be. Very pleased with Dr. Brian and his service. I called to have my retainer from another orthodontist fixed, they got me in the same afternoon. I was in and out very quickly. Dr. Brian and his staff are very friendly and professional. I would for sure recommend giving them a call!

Thank you Dr. Brian and all of your staff for helping me with my smile. I wore braces before but lost my retainer and the teeth moved again. I tried Invisalign but that was a waste of money. decided to go back to traditional braces and so happy with the result. The office is new, staff is friendly and Dr. Brian is so personable. I recommend this office for both adult & adolescent ortho.

Dr. Brian and the entire office of LFO truly went above and beyond to make sure I was completely happy with the final result of my orthodontic treatment. He is genuine, funny, kind, and caring. We even sang a duet during one of my visits (true story). The office is beautiful and very welcoming. I am very happy with my choice to go to Lafayette Family Orthodontics and strongly recommend it to anyone even considering orthodontic treatment.

I have had braces two other times before this. The first office was the worst. The second office was absolutely amazing until new ownership, and I didn't get the results I wanted. I was referred to Dr. Brain, and he is the absolute best. He is the Dr. that everyone searches for. He is real, tells you what others won't, all while keeping your care as his number one priority. Shannon is wonderful, and so helpful! She makes sure you know exactly what to expect and has never hesitated to answer any and all questions. Dr. Brian even personally called to check on me a few days after bonding! I can not wait to continue to grow with them!
