Our profession means everything to us. We love being dentists, not only for the technical challenges and rewards, but more so because we get to step into many people's lives every day and help them in a very specific way, doing something they can't possibly do for themselves. People feel better overall when they have a healthy mouth; it goes beyond individual teeth. No pain when eating and no embarrassment when talking or smiling is our goal for every patient. We get most excited when somebody comes to us with what they feel are insurmountable needs and we find a way to get their treatment done more easily than they imagined possible.

We feel truly honored that people come to our office and entrust us with their dental health. It is not something we take lightly. We promise that our team will work hard to earn your confidence and respect.

I moved to Lacey/Olympia because I think it's one of the greatest places on earth. I love the people, the land, and even the weather! When I'm not in the office, I like to sing and play guitar, disc golf, Ultimate Frisbee, and hike in our beautiful mountains. I'm also really into dental history and local history/maps, so if you have anything to teach me or show me, please do!

Away from the office, I enjoy relaxing with a good view and appreciating the trees and waters of the Pacific Northwest. Having grown up in Seattle, I now consider myself lucky to have found my new home in the Olympia area with my husband, Shane. Our rescue pets, Sven the dog and Ragnar the cat, are faithful companions and A+ good boys. I love animals, and would be thrilled to see a photo or hear a story about yours! I enjoy spending my free time making art, from painting, calligraphy, and interior design, to gardening, refinishing and upholstering furniture, and cooking wonderful meals with my husband. I enjoy getting to know new people and places, experiencing different cultures, and embracing diversity and education.

It is exciting to be a part of the technological advances in dentistry and to be able to help people improve their health. We strongly believe it is essential for us to remain up-to-date with the latest products, materials, and techniques in our field. The changes we have seen and will see in dentistry are making healthcare better every year, so we actively pursue continuing education courses, both locally and nationally, in order to constantly improve our services to you.

Dr. Whisler is also involved with the University of Washington School of Dentistry as an affiliate faculty member and the South Puget Sound Community College dental assisting program, sharing her knowledge with the future dental professionals of our state.

Raquel is one of the most caring and compassionate dental hygienists you will ever have the pleasure to be served by. Since starting her dental career as an assistant, she has found satisfaction in helping patients understand why complete oral care is beneficial to their overall health. Raquel's love of the field brought her back to school, graduating from Pierce College's Dental Hygiene program in 2007 and ultimately receiving her Bachelor of Science degree as well. Outside of dentistry Raquel enjoys spending time with her family, attending her granddaughters gymnastic meets, and finding peace in her flower garden with her granddog Kita.

Born and raised in Florida, LaRee moved to Oklahoma at age 16. She resumed her northwestward migration to join us in Washington state just a few years ago, pursuing work as a traveling certified surgical technologist. Like so many she fell in love with the area and couldn't bear to leave! LaRee will be attending a dental hygiene program in the near future, but for now her job with us as a sterilization tech is helping to bridge her past and future as she works towards her new career in dentistry. She is hypoallergenic and non-shedding and wants to lick your face, so feel free to give her a big hug cementing your new friendship!

Believe it or not, Mikkel grew up all the way in India and came to Dr. W. much in need of rescue. Her love and care for the downtrodden dogs of the worldhas brought joy into Mikkel's life. He's a part of the team nowadays, but tends to stay tucked back in the front office area since he's a shy guy!

I've been a patient at Lacey Family Dental for over 4 years. I've had cleanings and a couple fillings during those years, but just had a crown replaced and wanted to write about my experience. Dr. Persinger is very skilled, gentle, patient and professional. He is also a perfectionist who pays attention to every little detail. His standards are high, which means patients receive excellent care with every visit. The staff is wonderful. Dental assistant Lori makes your visit not only comfortable but actually enjoyable. Prices are fair and competitive. If you are looking for a fantastic dental office, Lacey Family Dental is the place to go. You will not be disappointed.

I was a patient of this clinic for several years and have personally referred at least 5 people to this office and never though I would have to leave this review and find a new clinic as I had always felt I got great care from everyone in the office (front desk assistants and both Drs) today I had a dental emergency and called in the person that answered the phone was very unprofessional she answered the phone but did not answer it like I was calling a business she answered the phone as if it was a personal call and was laughing. But it got worse I tried to tell her I though I should be seen since I was having some painful inflamed gums.. first she accused me of being sick. I had to explain I have allergies. She than proceeded to make me feel like I deserved to be in pain because I had not done the treatment plan they previously suggested. covid is a big deal not everyone feels safe to be going out and about unless it is a emergency. I was than told that I need a root canal. Again I tried to explain to her that it's not so much the tooth but the gums. I was than told everyone is busy until the new year but I could call Dr Gorig and see if he can do the root canal for me. I asked her if I should try and see my primary Dr as I feel like it's less of a tooth issue and more of a inflammation of my gums and If I do have a infection I obviously do not want to wait. She made it seem like I was wasting her time but she could maybe see if Dr would be willing to see me at 1 but they would still be referring me out to the endodontic clinic for the root canal. I was frustrated and on the verge of tears and told her I would take care of it. I called a different dental office within a hour of my call I was at the office for my exam. My concern was value adated as the Dr told me I did not need a root canal it was a gum tissue problem. I know they have newer front desk staff but them being the first person a patient or potentially new patient deals with it reflect on the business and no one should feel the way I felt today when calling.

Lacey Family Dental has been my providers for years until I moved across the state. When I was home in Olympia for the holiday weekend, I experienced a dental emergency. Dr W promptly replied to me and had me come in. She spent 4 hours making sure I had a useable tooth, and making a plan to give me a permanent solution. I can't say enough kind things about the kindness and dental excellence they provide

Going to the dentist is never fun, but I recently had a major toothache going on and this couldn't wait. I needed a root canal and a crown during the beginning of our stay-at-home orders and they were able to get me in as it was deemed an "emergency". I honestly have never been taken care of better by a dental office. I can't thank Dr. Whisler and her team enough for fixing my tooth. There is nothing worse than tooth pain and I am happy to know there is somewhere I can go that really care's about their patients.

If this review was limited in scope to the customer service, professionalism and caring of Dr. Jared Persinger and his team, it would be five stars. However, I recently was denied several times for a crown by my insurance provider and I want to highlight his persistence, values and commitment to his patients. My insurance provider (which will go nameless, but I am retired military and the name starts with the letters U and C...) denied my preauthorization for a crown. A crown is the standard of care following a root canal and before a root canal was recommended, the tooth was visually cracked in several places across the surface and into the gums. Dr. Persinger submitted three different amendments to overturn the decision and even talked to the dentist employed by the insurance company, to no avail. Dr. Persinger did not give up. In a last ditch effort, he contacted the state office for the insurance commissioner and within a day, the insurance company authorized the crown. Dr. Persinger not only provides the most comfortable and technical dental work I've had, but as you can tell by my circumstance, he goes above and beyond to ensure his patients receive the care they deserve (and pay for). I highly recommend giving Lacey Family Dental a shot for your next checkup, cleaning, filling or whatever you and your families needs. Respectfully, Matthew Beaumont US Army Retired

It's been over a decade since I've seen a dentist. Of course I had some concerns stemming from no treatment, but they never made me feel ashamed or embarrassed. Instead I felt welcomed, cared for and was given the best treatment possible. They were not there to sell me on products and services I didn't need, but instead gave me highly experienced and cost efficient treatment. Now my concerns are improving and I can smile more proudly! Thank you to all the staff at Lacey Family Dental for treating me like family and helping me improve my life.
