A Reno, Nevada native, Stephen Dankworth graduated from the University of the Pacific Dental School with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. With a passion for continuing education and commitment to quality dentistry, Dr. Dankworth learned what makes patients most comfortable and satisfied with their dental treatments. This experience, combined with his technical education, allowed Dr. Dankworth to found his practice on solid principles of compassionate, comprehensive dental care.
Extensive training in dentistry has allowed Dr. Dankworth to establish himself in the San Diego, Encinitas and Carlsbad areas as a cosmetic and family dentist dedicated to his craft. Dr. Dankworth has an extensive education in cosmetic smile enhancement and restorative dental work, including the final restoration of dental implants. Kimberly Corrigan-Dankworth attributes her expertise in performing state-of-the-art dental procedures to her lifelong love of learning. Dr. Corrigan-Dankworth earned her dental degree from the University of the Pacific. Since then, she has continued to hone her natural talent for dentistry with rigorous continuing education programs in her field. Along with her husband, Dr. Stephen Dankworth, Dr. Corrigan-Dankworth entered private practice in 1984. She established La Costa Dental Excellence in Carlsbad CA as a center for patients seeking knowledgeable dental care from a dedicated San Diego cosmetic dentist. Dr. Corrigan-Dankworth has trained with some of the most prestigious dental organizations and is fast becoming known as a leading dentist in both cosmetic and sedation dentistry.
Dr. Corrigan-Dankworths extensive education in dentistry allows her to hone her expertise continually in a wide variety of services. The Dankworths are involved members of the Carlsbad community. Dr. Piper Dankworth is a native Oceanside Californian. She attended the University of San Diego where she attained her bachelors degree. Following graduation, Piper spent time living in Montana enjoying the breathtaking landscapes of Boseman. She loves being outdoors. Piper is frequently hiking with her dog, swimming in the summers, or skiing in the winters. Her love for the mountains took her from Montana to Utah where she attended the University of Utah School of Dentistry. During her time at the University of Utah School of Dentistry, she earned numerous awards in oral surgery, implantology, and patient treatment planning and performance. Dr. Dankworth prides herself on continuing her education through her membership in the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, The Kois Center, California Implant Institute and DOCS Education.
Her education expanded outside of the dental clinic through various continuing education courses facilitated by the American Dental Association (ADA), and trips to the Dominican Republic. Traveling to the Dominican Republic allowed Dr. Dankworth to combine her love of education and service by providing dental care for underserved patients.

Wonderful experience! Dr Piper and her assistant Cinthia are a flawless team. No pain during treatment or after my fillings! Jess is an amazing, gentle hygienist. The front was so friendly and welcoming.

I'm from out of town and my insurance company recommended La Costa Dentistry. These folks are awesome! From the moment I walked in I was treated like family! Dr Mosbacher is so caring, professional and gentle. I had two damaged crowns replaced and it was done pain free! The support staff was beyond good, they were great! This is a fine practice!

I'm beyond stoked how well my experience was with la costa dental excellence. I was very concerned about my chipped teeth, and didn't know which dentist to go to. I stumbled across la costa dental excellence and had a gut feeling this was the place to get them done. The receptionist was so nice and made sure to get me in as quick as possible, and they got me in the next day, and Stephanie and Dr. Pipper made my teeth look like nothing had ever happened. I couldn't be happier the way things went, and grateful to have my teeth worked on here

Excellent experience. I have been going here for over 15 years and every procedure has been painless and excellent. I sometimes use sedation. I have so much anxiety with dental procedures, Dr. Dankworth keeps me relaxed with his gentle demeanor.

I was suffering from debilitating migraines from grinding my teeth and clenching my jaw for years. Dr. Dankworth is the first dentist to address the root cause of the issue, rather than simply treating the symptoms. After 6 weeks of using the bite deprogrammer, my pain is completely gone and my jaw has realigned to it's proper position. It's not a quick fix but it's worth it to be pain free! Even the shape of my face has improved - it's incredible. If you have any jaw or bite issues, run to La Costa Dental Excellence.

I was referred to La Costa Dental Excellence by a friend/client of mine, who is himself, a Dentist who comes here for his own personal care. I could not be more pleased with the level of care and service I have received from Dr. Stephen Dankworth and his highly capable Team. Just today, I had my first cleaning and the hygienist was outstanding! For 20 years, I commuted to San Diego for my dental work and am so happy I found such a wonderful practice so much closer to my home!

I've been coming to La Costa Dental Excellence since 2011 and I cannot say enough good things about their practice! I love the office, the dental hygienists, the assistants and doctors. The office is very clean and the staff is AMAZING!!! They use innovative technology, and I come out with my teeth sparkling white. Not only do the staff do excellent work on teeth, they also provide you with a positive customer experience. I highly recommend everyone to go to La Costa Dental Excellence!

I had the absolute best experience with Dr Dankworth!!! I avoid going to dentist at all cost but I was referred by someone I trusted to see Dr. Dankworth. I had to have my front tooth replaced with a porcelain tooth. That meant getting multiple shots under the roof of my mouth and above my front tooth, which was incredibly scary and was incredibly painful by the last dentist I went to. I can honestly, unequivocally say that I didn't even feel the shots! I can't even believe that's the case but it's 100% true. I will never go to another dentist again only to see Dr Dankworth!!!! Thank you doctor!!!!!!!
