Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

The entire team was great. I was treated like a family member and felt right at home. During the entire process I felt like I was laying next to a fireplace with all my family members. Greatest experience ever! Liz Yoon and Siuneh Khodaverdi made me feel like I was a little brother that was part of the family. The best tooth fairies EVER!

10/10 would recommend this office, Dr. Raffi you are an absolute gem. I have had an extremely complicated dental history, to say the least. Dr. Raffi exceeded my expectations. I normally get very anxious before/during appointments, but this entire experience at this Dental office just flew by. Thank you Doc!!! Am definitely coming back for all my future cleanings & (hopefully never again) more invasive procedures.

Highly, highly recommend this office!!! Dr. O is very professional, listens to your concerns, and is a wonderful dentist. Alvard, the dental hygienist, is attentive, very friendly, and SO helpful. I had been going to the same dentist for over 10 years and was unhappy with the pricing and treatment. My experience at this office was beyond what I anticipated.

Horrible appointment management and customer service. Had a 4pm appointment. Showed up at 3:37 and checked in. Was told I was a little early and it would be a few minutes. I said understand and I would be waiting in my car. At 3:55 I went back in and sat down. At 4:10 someone figured out I was not officially checked in. In the meantime they took 2 teenagers without appointments who arrived after me. Then they took someone at 4:20 who had a 4:30 appointment. No apology yet. At 4:35 I asked what happened to my appointment and I was told "uh, let me check..." and then I got my first "I'm sorry". Lousy check-in service and lousy customer service. The young lady behind the counter who should have checked me in back at 3:37 said nothing the whole time. No one seems to care... I guess they don't mind losing me and my wife as patients since business has been so good during the pandemic...

I can't recommend this dental office enough. I have HIGH dental anxiety. I was without dental insurance for years and couldn't get the dental care I needed. As soon as I was insured, I made an appointment with La Canada Smiles. I needed no less than four crowns and a deep cleaning. From the start, the girl who did my x-rays made me feel like family. She was amazing at calming my fears and showing empathy. Then the team who prepped me for the crowns were so funny and kind. The dentist herself was sweet and knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with me to explain everything. She gave me multiple breaks and asked if I was ok throughout the whole procedure of the difficult crowns. When I went in for the deep cleaning a couple months later, I was informed that they may not be able to do the cleaning all in one day. I told them I had taken the rare day off work to get it done. They completely figured out how to accommodate me. During the cleaning, they gave me a mini-break and while I was waiting, a team member came in and turned on the TV for me and asked if I wanted to charge my phone. They also let me use the suction devise at will (since I was very numb.) Finally, they work with you completely to come up with payment plans. They are so great. What a difference a committed and caring dental team makes! Thank you, La Canada Smiles!

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a very speedy staff. Everyone made me feel at ease, and the staff was extremely nice to work with. Dr Sara and Sioneh the hygienist are amazing. My deep teeth cleaning was not bad at all. Sioneh was light handed and efficient. I needed a lot of work. My teeth look and feel a 100 times better. In closing, wonderful staff, miticously clean office, great doctors, great hygienist, I will be back.......

I have moderate dental anxiety, Dr Zin and Andres were very sweet and attentive. The customer service is great. Very clean offices and modern equipment. Make sure you have time. They are very busy and your asking can run longer than expected.

This place has truly been great. Very friendly, accommodating, and do great work. The most important thing though is they are honest! I'd really like to thank Krystal and Dr. Sara for handling a billing discrepancy in a timely and professional manner...... I recently had a scare with billing and was hit with a $1,800 bill from my insurance company for services that were supposed to be covered. This really bothered and upset me more than you know because I had been so clear about my desire to only do work that's was covered as none of the services were urgent. I contacted the insurance company and they said I had to deal with the dentist. LUCKILY it seems they have good people running the office and Krystal was able to contact me and take responsibility for the mistake within 24 hours. She said it was their fault and that I was not responsible for any of the charges. This was such a burden lifted as I'm sure she could have just said "oh well, we have your signature" and forced me to fend for myself and fight this in other ways ....... Thank you guys for being honest in your practice and because of this I will definitely be coming back.

Great modern place with wonderful staff that're really skilled and easy to chat with. I also really love my dentist, Caroline Girard. She is really helpful, very realistic, and doesn't push things you don't need. Will keep coming so long as she is here!!
