I decided, when I was about 14, that I wanted to be anorthodontist. I was going through my own orthodontic treatment then and saw the changes it made in my life and my friends lives. I wanted to bring those same positive, lasting changes to others.

As an orthodontist, I love seeing the transformations each of my patients goes through. At work, myfavorite day isone when we remove a persons braces and they get to see their finished smile for the first time. The joy on their face, as wecompare their before and after photos, and how astonished they are, never gets old. It is truly a blessing to be able to make this type of difference in someones life!

I love the relationships that develop between my patients and myself. Because treatment takes several years to complete, and I see most patients every six to eight weeks, I really get to knowwho they are. I enjoy our conversations and watching each person grow and develop as their smiles grow, develop, and improve.

Ive always said, I like to stay one small step behind the cutting edge of orthodontic technology. This allows me to thoroughly evaluate and choose new technologies and treatments that have proven to improve the quality of care and results.

I participate in many hours of continuing education each year. My ultimate goal, as an orthodontist, is to provide the highest quality care in the most efficient manner, using advanced, exceptional treatments.

I grew up in the small coal-mining town of Grundy, VA. My wife, Diannaand I moved to Bristol, TN, in 1995, as soon as I finished my orthodontic residency. Wewere high school sweethearts and havebeen married for 30 years. Wehave two awesome children, Carter and Bailey. Carter ismarried to his high school sweetheart, Kayla Duncan Mullins. They live in Memphis, Tennessee where he is currently enrolledin dental school at the University of Tennessee Health Science and Kayla is an art teacher.Bailey graduatedfrom Clemson University with honors and is now enrolled inthe physical therapy program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis as well.Wehave a bernedoodle named Hazel, a cat named Kitty anda rescue named Laci.

I love being an orthodontist. I feel blessed to be able to provide this type of life-changing care to people who need it. As I look back at my life, I can see that God has been actively involved in getting me over each of the hurdles it takes to become an orthodontist. I believe this is one of Gods purposes for me. I cherish the time I get with each of my patients and try my best to shine the Light of Gods goodness through me to them.

I enjoy getting to know our patients and parents. After awhile they feel like friends. Its a pleasure to watch each person grow and change during treatment. Their smile changes and so too does their outlook and confidence. I welcome patients, answer the phones, and help patients schedule visits at times that work with their busy lives. I also follow up with no-shows and cancellations and enter treatment notes.

Im a widow after 46 years of marriage. I have two wonderful sons who are both in the dental field. I have six fantastic grandchildren and a dog, Miss Rylee, who is full of energy. I enjoy walking, golfing, and being a member of Green Spring Presbyterian Church in Abingdon.

I grew-up in Louisiana and moved to the Tri-Cities area with my husband, Harry, in 2009. Together, we have four great children and six wonderful grandchildren. We are devout LSU football fans, enjoy golf and spending time with our goldendoodle, Yogi.

My husband and I have been happily married for 18years. We have two amazing children, Zach (and my wonderful daughter in law Amber) and Brooklyn, and an adorable grandson, Brody. Our four legged babies are a lab named Maverick, a morkie named Jax, and a 30 pound cat named Simba. We are active members of Calvary Bible Church and enjoy serving the Lord any way He leads us. I enjoy singing, long weekends, and being with my family. My role as financial coordinator allows me to meet new people. I work together with families to find the best financial solution that fits their specific budget.

I enjoy building connections with each patient. Its amazing to see the progress of their teeth movement and the happiness the new smile brings to a persons life. I am glad to be part of the transformation. I provide direct patient care. I prepare the teeth for bracket placement. I also change arch wires and help with adjustments. Its fun to spend my days helping great people get a smile theyre going to love, forever!

My wife Samantha and I have 2 sons and 2 daughters. I enjoy the outdoors and spend alot of time fishing and hunting. I am the first man to have graduated from Northeast State Community College as a Registered Dental Assistant.

It is such a rewarding job to be a part of a dental team and watch patients grow and develop confidence in their smile. I assist Dr. Mullins with procedures and adjustments. My husband John and I have 4 children who keep us very busy with volleyball, baseball and basketball.

I have been an orthodontic assistant since 2003. I have had the pleasure of seeing so many beautiful smiles over the years. The transformation is my favorite part of doing what I love!
