Dr. Liu graduated with aB.A. from New York University in 1991. Dr. Lius research interests then brought him to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and continued at Columbia University where he earned an American Association of Dental Research Fellowship. He graduated at the top of his class with aD.D.S. from ColumbiaUniversityCollege of Dental Medicinein 1996receiving both the Hannah J. Appel Periodontics Award and International College of Dentists Award for outstanding academic performance.
Following dental school, Dr. Liu went on to complete a General Dentistry residency program atLong Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Liu has published various research articles and is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Oral Medicine.
He has been selected as 2004 2010 One of Americas Top Dentists. In 2007, Dr. Liuattained the prestigiousFellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). He is one of only 5% of American dentists that has achieved this honor by completing 500 hours of continuing education and passing a rigorous6 hour written examination.
Dr. Liu is happily married and spends his free time playing with his daughter and 2 sons. He is compassionate and committed to providing the highest quality of care for his patients. You can follow him on Twitter or Quora as he is active on social media. His username for both is frankliudds.

I was recommended here by a family member. I scheduled my appointment 2 weeks in advance and was notified 20 minutes before my appointment that it was cancelled because they couldn't verify my insurance. They claimed to call my cellphone the day before my appointment and said they dialed the incorrect number. It is extremely unprofessional that didn't they think to verify my information, any time between my scheduling and my appointment. I won't be using this firm in the future.

I couldn't recommend a dentist more highly than Dr. Liu. He is always cheerful and warmhearted. He recently finished a crown for my implant and it fits perfectly. But perhaps most important of all is that he's a man of integrity. It's not always easy to find people you can trust, but after many years of care I can speak to Dr. Liu's honesty, compassion and professionalism. New Hyde Park is truly blessed to have Dr. Liu as one of our own....

I have been going to Dr. Liu for probably close to 10 years now; even after I moved to Manhattan and then Brooklyn, I still come back to L&L Dental for my check-ups. He's a great dentist who actually spends time with patients and isn't trying to push unnecessary procedures like all the other dentists I've been to.

Dr Liu and Dr Lee are one of the best dentists I have ever seen so far. Always treat patients as a family member and give immediate appointment/treatment depending upon the severity of issue.. Their staff team is amazing just like them.Would highly recommend anyone looking for a reliable dentist..

I have been a patient of Dr. Liu for many years. In all of my visits I have never, ever waited more than 2 minutes in the waiting room. Dr. Liu is always on time, very fast - you will be in and out - and always willing to squeeze me in for emergencies. He is knowledgeable and very nice as is his staff.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Liu for more than 10 yrs for cleaning and any dental issues. I definitely recommend Dr.Liu because he is always very patient and provides detailed service with all our visits. Even during the Covid pandemic, I felt safe with all safety protocols in his office.

Dr. Liu has been my dentist for 10 years. Every procedure that I have had from replacement of front teeth to regular cleanings every 6 months has been handled proficiently. Also, he and his staff are always very friendly. I was just in his office and very happy, but not surprised, to see him and staff wearing face-coverings and practicing social distancing by not allowing multiple patients in his waiting area. Again, a great dentist!
