Dr. Chen has been in dental field for more than 20 years and is always passionate about what she does everyday. Dr. Chen started her dental education in China in 1992. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Chen pursued four years prosthodontics specialty training in Peking University, one of the top dental schools in China. She earned clinical prosthodontics' specialty certificate and Ph.D. degree there and was awarded Top Graduate when she graduated. During her residency training there, she majorly worked in Prosthodontics and implant department.
Dr. Chen moved to U.S in 2001. She worked for World Congress of Oral Implantology in Manhattan for a short time. Then she went to the School of Dental Medicine, University of Pennsylvania for two years clinical training in the advance standing program and earned her D.M.D degree there in 2005. Before graduation, Dr. Chen earned outstanding performance award in Endodontic department, 3 months honors program in the Children's hospital of University of Pennsylvania, one of the best Children's hospital in U.S. She also went to externship programs in Hartford hospital, CT, University of Connecticut and Hospital of University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Chen is a big believer of dental education. Even after graduation, she has been seeking the best dental continue education program in the nation to keep her skills and knowledge updated. Some examples are: She joined Columbia University's implant training program in 2009-2010, NYU's full mouth reconstruction program from 2015-2016, NYU implant program from 2016-2018.
Dr. Chen is a gentle, dedicate and patient dentist. She has three young kids of her own and speaks English and Mandarin Fluently. She is an active member of ADA and NJDA. She also earned her fellowship in ICOI(International congress of Oral Implantology).
Ningning(Vivian) Xiao received her AAS of Dental Hygiene and Hygienist certificate in 2013, and has been working in Dr. Chen's dental office ever since. As a Dental Hygienist, Ningning is ardent to provide comfortable care, a thorough assessment of findings, dental hygiene treatment planning, if needed delivery of local anesthesia, prophylactic care/debridement, combined together with patient education and oral hygiene instruction. Teeth are important to everybody, she takes great pride in being a health care professional.

I'm am so glad to review this company, I went to get a double extraction and my teeth cleaned, before I arrived everyone told me it will be terribly painful and scared me emensely. I ended up having little to no pain and never even needed any pain medication for relief. The team at this establishment work so great together and made me feel so welcome. I love my new dentist! Ps. I traveled an hour to get top notch service and they truly delivered!

Doctor Chen has great skill and helps me remove my wisdom teeth within 10 minutes and it does not hurt that much. The nurse is really nice and helpful as well. But the reason why I give 3 stars is because they charge $100 consultant fee but there is no actually consultant. It makes me feel like it's only the fee to see the doctor. Before I actually met the doctor, they let me to take X-ray. I think I should first sit down and Doctor check my teeth first and then take it. And the Doctor did not even check my teeth and open my month first and gave me anesthetic directly. And after anesthetic, she took 3 seconds to look into my mouth and tell me to clean and do brace and that's it. This is my first time to met a dentist in USA so I am not sure this is how things work here? I do not double they have professional skills but I did not feel comfortable of the procedure of the whole process. It does not feel professional.

Giving this dental office 1 star because they overcharge for their services. We've gone to a couple of different dentists in NJ and usually for a regular cleaning or filling a cavity, the dentists first claim money with the insurance company and if there are leftover charges, we'll be sent a bill and pay that later. At L C Quality Dental, they expect you to pay upfront even though they had initially said they do accept our insurance prior to us coming in. If they were honest with us from the beginning that we needed to pay upfront, we wouldn't have made an appointment with them. They also like to perform unnecessary services and pressure you to do/pay for these services (if you read other reviews, seems like Dr. Chen does this to many other patients as well). You're better off going anywhere else.

I have done my 2 implant and root canal in her Clinic and very satisfied. Not just Dr. Chen herself, her whole crew are very thoughtful, caring for their patients. Her crew watch your insurance coverage , following up every treatment and very patient to answer every question when you call back. Dr. Chen will try to solve your every concern to make sure you are fully satisfied with your every treatment. Her group you can tell, they put quality and patients' satisfaction in their first priority, not go for business orientation.

It reminds me this dentist every time when I have teeth pain. Very unprofessional, processed unnecessary work but didn't have what needed done. Had to find another doctor to correct it. I wish I can give negative star.

Dr. Chen is although not a perfect dentist, but she is a good dentist. See the following my two cases: First one, she helped to rescue my bad teeth that two other dentist cannot fix. She did great job on it, it is four years passed, the teeth is still doing good. Second one, she did invisalign for me and make my teeth straight and beautiful. It is good work on it as well. So I vote her 5 stars.
