Dr. Kyle Smits is a West Seattle dentist in practice since 2010. As a third generation dentist, Dr. Kyle has learned from the decades of experience from his father and grandfather and runs a traditional family dental practice with modern techniques and equipment. Dr. Kyle A. Smits is committed to providing quality, professional dental care to the West Seattle neighborhood. After attending undergraduate, graduate and dental school on the east coast, Dr. Kyle returned to the Northwest in 2010 to work with his father, Dr. Paul K. Smits DDS, who served as a dentist in this exact location for over forty years.
Dr. Kyle graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where he was a member of several honor societies and received the International Congress of Oral Implantologists' award for implant dentistry as a pre-doctoral student.
Prior to attending dental school, he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Georgetown University in Washington, DC where he was also a member of Georgetown's NCAA Division I Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Dr. Smits lives in Seattle Washington with his wife and two children and in his spare time enjoys running, skiing, and all things outdoors.

The staff at our dental office is dedicated to providing the best environment to treat your oral health needs. Cindy and Aaron work hard at the front desk to handle all your scheduling, billing and insurance needs. Our hygienists, Arlene and Christina, are known for their thorough yet gentle cleanings. Bri and Azia assist both Dr. Smits and the hygienists and expertly handle sterilization and room setup. We work together to run smoothly and efficiently so that you can be in and out on time.

The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, understanding and accommodating. It's a clean place and they have all the modern, up to date equipment as far as i can tell. If I have to go the the dentist, I'm happy to come here. I would and have recommended to friends.

I have been seeing Dr. Smits since he took over for his dad. I used to be so terrified of dentists that I hadn't gone in many years. Now? No fear. He is gentle and very communicative about procedures. Arlene, the hygienist, is wonderful. I look forward to seeing her, her quiet voice but funny and interesting stories make the teeth cleaning go quickly and happily. Seriously, listen to her for five minutes and you'll either learn something or be laughing so hard that it's hard to keep your mouth open!

Dr. Kyle Smits as well as the entire professional team are fantastic. I've been going there for more years than I will admit to. Dr. Smits and his team make everything work seamlessly if you have to see another dental(s) professional and eventually end up coming back to him for the finishing touches..He is extremely compassionate about traumatized dental patients. Big shout out of Dr. Smits, Arlene, Erin (sp?) and all of the rest whose names I will get to know eventually (those are the people I see most often).

Dr Smits was able to get me in the same week to check on a chipped tooth, I am beyond appreciative. Staff all around was friendly and welcoming as a new patient. Dr identified the issue and actually offered to fix it on the spot (I didn't have the time) and that blew my mind to be honest - very cool he was willing to take the time the same day. 100% found my new DDS in West Seattle!!
