Our registered dental hygienist Katie Thygesen is a talented member of the team here at Kwasnik Family Dental. Her family has a long history in the state of Vermont and were so glad to have her with us.
Katie has over four years of experience as a hygienist. She earned her associates degree in dental hygiene in 2018 and completed her bachelors degree dental hygiene in 2019 at Vermont Technical College. Katie is also a member of the National Dental Hygiene Honor Society.
Meeting new people is one of Katies favorite parts of the job. She says she really enjoys learning something new every day, so getting to know patients personally and educating them about oral health are the highlights of her daily routine.
What do our patients like about Katie? She works to provide a comfortable environment for them. She is very relatable and approachable Katie loves to talk and listen and she cares about each patient beyond just their teeth. She says, They really appreciate that I dont make them talk when Ive got my hands in their mouth!
Katie likes working at Kwasnik Family Dental because she is very family-oriented, so she really enjoys that we are a family-oriented practice. Staying close to home is very important to her, and working with us allows her to maintain that connection with her family.
When shes not at work Katie can be found kayaking, hiking, and gardening. When the weather doesnt agree, she enjoys crocheting, calligraphy, and baking. Katie loves her dog Winston, and her two cats, Tom and Brady, and rooting for her beloved New England Patriots.
Charleen really enjoys meeting new patients. She says that meeting people from so many different backgrounds is her favorite part of working with us. She says, Our office accepts every walk of life and treats each person as they would their own family.
Our administrative assistant Jennifer Kelley is a valued member of our team here at Kwasnik Family Dental. With over 20 years of experience in customer service, she sees every patient that comes through our doors.
Jennifer is a mom to a wonderful 13-year-old daughter and together, they live on Joes Pond with their two dogs. They take advantage of where they live whenever possible, and enjoy the relaxing pond life.
Erin Karansinski is a well-rounded, important part of our team at Kwasnik Family Dental. Along with her associates degree in business administration, she has also earned radiology privileges, which makes her uniquely skilled and flexible.
Erin has over 12 years of experience in dentistry. She loves the work and enjoys providing a nurturing experience to all of our patients. When people come in for treatment, many of them have a fear of dentistry. Erin works to make their experience as personal as possible by listening and making accommodations for their needs.
When asked, Erin said she enjoys working with our team at Kwasnik Family Dental because everyone gets along so well. The team keeps things positive and united in the goal of achieving positive results for all our patients. She also enjoys the flexibility that the job provides and that it allows for a robust work-life balance.
Life in Vermont has many advantages and Erin enjoys it here in our beautiful state. When shes not working, she loves to spend time with her boyfriend, stepson, and daughter. They have a family camp in the Northeast Kingdom (NEK) where they enjoy being active together hiking, fishing, boating, and snowshoeing.

Like many people, I have a borderline dental phobia. In the past I have avoided having dental work, even cleaning, due to my anxiety. After my initial visit with Kwasnik family dental I felt immediately at ease. I've had several visits with them so far and every time I have felt calm and in good hands. I especially appreciate that Dr. Collin makes the time to explain everything he's doing and all my options. In addition he was willing to show me examples of specific dental appliances. This is by far the best dental experience I have ever had. Thank you all at Kwasnik.

Probably the most knowledgeable, gentle, caring and compassionate dentist I have been to! I've had a lot of difficulty with dentists in the past and at one point would have said that going to the dentist was one of my biggest fears. This is definitely the most comfortable I've felt in a dental office. The staff and Dr. Kwasnik are so friendly and wonderful!

Katie is a wonderful hygienist! She is very thorough, gentle, but always makes my teeth feel extremely clean! She is also a very friendly person. Kwasnik dental is very lucky to have her!

As many people are, I was apprehensive about going to the dentist to say the least. It had been a long time and dreaded what they were going to tell me. I expected to be lectured and scolded. I am happy to say that nothing could be further from the truth! From the moment I called my experience has been nothing but positive. My hygienist Charleen was warm, welcoming, and did everything she could to make me feel as comfortable as possible while she went to work. They were accepting new patients and I was lucky enough to get in on a cancellation. They got me in quickly for a follow-up appointment and that went just as well as the initial one. If you have been neglecting the dentist and was an anxious as I was about it, you couldn't pick a better place to go!

I had the most wonderful experience! I am not currently a patient of there's but definitely will be from now on. I had a lot of pain and they were able to take me in 10 minutes after calling. The hygienist I had Charleen was so kind and caring, I then met Dr Collins and he was the kindest, most gentle dentist I've ever met. In just two minutes I felt very comfortable in there care. Thank you so much kwasnik family dental.

Dr Kwasnik and his team are amazing. I changed my dental care to their office this year and I am thrilled with their professionalism , pain free dental care and new and innovative ways to brighten your smile. I suffered with sensitivity to an upper yooyh and in leas than 30 seconds Dr Kwasnik had a remedy that has completely taken the sensitivity away. Love love love Kwasnik Family Dental.

Easily the best dentist visits I've ever had. Professional, kind, insightful, helpful, personable - these are just a few words that describe the staff here. I felt comfortable with Dr. Kwasnik from my first visit just over a month ago and I know I'm in good hands after my third visit here. No pain or discomfort, and all procedures and processes are explained beforehand. Dental is expensive, even with insurance, but Dr Kwasnik made sure I would be getting the work done I need without breaking the budget which is one thing I can't say about most dental practices. I could not be happier with my choice in making Kwasnik Family Dental my new primary dentist.

This was my second visit with Kwasnik Family Dental and they were amazing! They eased my nerves about the dental work being done, through great explanation, and expressed that they are available for any questions or concerns! They gave me their number to call if the next day (Saturday) I had any troubles or worries with recovery. It's nerve racking going to a new dentist, but Kwasnik Family Dental has amazing staff and is a great practice, especially if dental work makes you anxious like myself! They were very patient and helpful!

If you are looking for a kind, competent dentist this is the place to go. Dr. Kwasnik has implemented many up to date dental practices since joining the practice. I found him to be very through in his work. The staff are friendly and care about your experience while there. No one loves to go to the dentist, but here you just might! I highly recommend this practice.

After years of dreading dental visits, I discovered DrCollin and his practice just over a year ago. What a change from my past ! Absolutely no pain at any time ! Everyone is super professional and super friendly. I was there for a cleaning this week and I was relaxed and left with a super clean mouth!

It is such a delight to look forward to a dental cleaning! Charlene is a smile angel. She is thorough, kind, entertaining and encouraging. I met the new dentist Dr. Kwasnik, and was also pressed that he will be expanding the services they provide. It is a treat to have going to the dentist, bring a smile to your face!

This is a highly professional dental practice with every member of the staff upbeat, friendly and engaged. I've had a series of recent appointments with Dr Collin and I find he is excellent at all types of dentistry. He proceeds in a relaxed, respectful manner, explaining each step of the procedure as he goes and, in my experience, does beautiful work.
