Dr. Eric Kvinsland was born and raised in Gig Harbor. After graduating from Gig Harbor High School, he attended Washington State University to earn his Business and Human Resource Management degrees and Pacific Lutheran University to pursue a Chemistry degree. Dr. Kvinsland graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry honored with the Guthrie Award for Restorative Excellence.
He continues to further his training and education ensuring that he is providing the best and most current dentistry available today. In addition to his active involvement in several restorative based dental study groups, Dr. Kvinsland is past-President of the Pierce County Dental Society, and serves as a delegate for the Washington State Dental Association.
You cant help but run into Dr. Kvinsland and his family around town! He is an integral member of the Gig Harbor Community and is actively involved with Communities in Schools of Peninsula and his church and bible study.
Dr. Kvinsland is family focused, he dedicates much of his time to his wife and their four children. He is a certified pilot and loves the outdoors whether its fishing, hunting, skiing, golfing, or boating.
Dr. Skifstad grew up in Silverdale and now lives in Gig Harbor. She attended University of Washington where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and her Doctorate in Dentistry. She received the Dennis P. Diskin Award for outstanding character, personality and integrity throughout her dental program, it is the highest award given by peers.
Dr. Skifstads love of dentistry grew from compassion and the immense joy she receives from focusing on the details in her work. She has worked with various organizations in providing dentistry to low income communities and international relief work.
Dr. Eric carries on the tradition of giving back to the community with visits to 1st grade classrooms throughout the Peninsula School District, both public and private schools. Kids love his visits.Every year, Dr. Kvinsland fully engages our first-graders with his presentation, Discovery Elementary first-grade teacher Margi Listoe said. He knows how to speak and ask questions right at their level. The kids love getting the opportunity to be a tooth and get flossed by Dr. Kvinsland. They also become very excited about taking care of their teeth properly.'

Dr. Eric Kvinsland visits area 1st graders each year, teaching them how to brush their teeth, floss, take care of their bodies, and to understand the importance of proper nutrition. Eric is great with kids! He knows how to listen and converse with kids in a way that empowers them for the future.
Dr. Eric Kvinsland grew up in Gig Harbor, graduating from Gig Harbor High School. He continues to be an integral part of our community through his continued role on the Peninsula School District Board.
Through the combined efforts of the Pierce County Dental Society, Community in Schools of the Peninsula, and the Washington Dental Service Foundation, the SmileMobile was brought to a local school to help low income families receive dental care. Dr. Eric Kvinsland and his dental assistant Candace Hegseth, among other dentists, volunteered their time to take care of patients.
Dr. Jon Kvinsland located his practice on Olympic Drive in 1979. Since then, Dr. Eric Kvinsland has continued the practice, with a passion for providing patient-centered care, treating the patient correctly the job is done right the first time.

I highly recommend Dr. Kvinsland and his staff. They are friendly, professional, caring, and use the latest technology to care for their patients. I take my entire family here and as a local health care provider I also recommend this office to my patients.

I highly recommend Kvinsland Dentistry! I had the misfortune of having an abscessed tooth while on vacation in Gig Harbor. Dr. Skifstad was so caring and professional and did a wonderful job of getting rid of the infection, until I could get back home. The staff are all so welcoming and great at what they do!!! Thanks to all of you for taking such good care of me.

Kvinsland Dentistry offers quality and efficient dentistry. Healthy teeth is essential to your health. Your gums and tongue provide insights whether you have other health issues. It is an expense but worth it to have dental care at least once a year or more to make sure teeth and health are well.

My husband and I are incredibly happy with Kvinsland Dentistry, specifically Dr. Skifstad. The staff is efficient, attentive and kind. Dr. Skifstad is very thorough, she is patient explaining her observations and a very thoughtful professional - she does not rush into any invasive procedures. She is also pretty darn kind and sincere as well! We couldn't be happier and highly recommend them

Kvinsland Dentistry? What's not to love about this practice? Eric leads this team of consummate professionals and they treat patients like members of their own family. Eric learned from his father that if you want the best results, hire the best people and he does. Look no further for the best dentistry in town. I've been to a lot of dentists in my 73 years, but none of them compare to this crew.

I was hoping to have a good dental experience, unfortunately I didn't. I came for a crown prep and a filling done at the same time, and was uncomfortable from the start. I had a pain in my temple for months after the procedure. The temp crown had to keep getting adjusted, and I ended up getting a root canal on the tooth. When I finally came back to have the crown placed it seemed to go smoothly. At that time I let the dentist know, "I'm not sure if I want to come back". I explained how I felt she was to aggressive with the drill, and not liberal enough with the novacane. She basically dismissed it and said bye. I will say the front desk at this office is extremely friendly and organized. I knew exactly how much everything was going to cost. It wasn't cheap! It's unfortunate I didn't have a better experience or a dentist that actually cared.
