Skill and compassion go hand in hand when providing exceptional patient care. As a dental professional, Dr. Calender stays up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry in order to provide the most current treatment options for his patients. As a doctor, he recognizes that his patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in him and his team, and that is just one reason why he values each and every patient relationship.
Dr. Calender graduated from UC Davis with his Bachelor of Science degree in Bacteriology, then went on to graduate with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oral Roberts University. He isa member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He also sponsors his entire team to the annual Southwest Dental Conference hosted by the Dallas County Dental Society, and has enjoyed doing so for many years.
He started his dental career as a Navy dentist in San Diego attached to Camp Pendleton Marine base, but his wife Lynne got him to Texas as fast as she could. He has been practicing in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for more than thirty years and they live in Keller; they are also long-time members of Gateway Church in Southlake. Their roots run deep here, with all three children graduating from Keller High School and graduating from UNT, one after a two-year stint at TCU (go Frogs!).
Dr. Calender enjoys fly fishing, cycling, rock climbing, and hiking to fly fish in the Rocky Mountains backcountry with their sons each summer. He also enjoys their two grandsons in Colorado! And he has recently rediscovered a love of sailing, which began in his younger days in Santa Cruz, on the coast of California.
Dr. Calender is kind and gentle, compassionate, thorough and meticulous. He is a veteran dental professional, and keeps up with technology for his patients best care and comfort. He loves cycling, fly fishing, hiking, sailing, and visiting his grandchildren in Colorado.
Lynne is sweet, kind, caring, organized, and an excellent list maker. She also spells everything correctly. She has enjoyed working with a great boss for thirty years and counting. Along with Dr. Calender, she is also a graduate of Oral Roberts University (BA English with a minor in secretarial studies). Lynne alsoloves hiking and camping and can still sleep in a tent (with ear plugs). She also loves babysitting their grandsons in Colorado.
Joni is the face of the practice! She is also a skilled dental professional veteran, coming from a dental assistant/front office position to office manager with us. She now keeps us all connected and running smoothly. Joni also serves as our expert insurance coordinator and is an excellent patient advocate; she's the one you want on your team! She is our office hostess and resident prayer warrior and is very compassionate, and she extends her hospitality to us all. She loves her faith, family, and friends, as well as her pet Chihuahuas and quilting, which she says is cheaper than psychotherapy. So glad to have her here!
Susan is both very friendly and knowledgeable, with several years in the dental field with both back and front office experience. She graduated from the dental assisting program at ATI Fort Worth, and has been doing a masterful job of air traffic control for us. She keeps the office temperature nice and even with her great sense of humor, and she is our second insurance pro. Susan also loves her children and grandbabies, and has the nicest looking back yard on the block. So glad to have her on our team!
Candace is our resident resource library! Another long-time team member, she is also gentle yet thorough, and is another patient favorite. She also has excellent hearing and is our expert audio volume tester. Candace graduated from Dallas College with her Associates Degree of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She enjoys volunteering at church and spending time with her family, especially their two precious daughters who are guarded by their pet Yorkie. Thanks for being on our team!
Kellie is one of our two favorite chairside assistants! Graduating from the Health Occupation Students of America program at Garland High School, she is a long-time Fort Worth-area resident, and brings her expert experience and fun-loving personality to our home-town dental community. Kellie never meets a stranger and her guidebook is full of fun people and places. She adds much to a safe, enjoyable experience for both our patients and Dr. Calender. She also has a lovely daughter and two fun Dachshunds. Were glad to have her on our team!
Kim is our newest dental assistant and we couldnt be more grateful for her calm, pleasant personality and capable skills. She is a local girl who grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from the College of Health Care Professions located there. She also has two years as a leader for Young Life on her resume, including a fun summer at camp in Colorado. Kim enjoys her sweet kitty and time with her family. Were glad she's on our team!

Dr. Calendar was very personable and thorough with his exam. I haven't had a dentist spend that much time with me in 20 years. He and his whole team were very friendly, professional and definitely know their stuff. Susan greeted me warmly at the door and made me feel welcome and Candace did an awesome job of cleaning my teeth. I highly recommend Dr. Calendar and his team.

I've been to Dr. Kurt's office multiple times and have had great experience every time. every single one of Dr. Calendar's staff is professional, respectful, warm and friendly always with a big smile. I feel at home every time I step in... and they're on time! I barely have to wait for a minute or two before we get started. I highly recommend Dr. Calendar and his awesome staff!

Dr. Calender and his staff have been awesome in getting my dental issues fixed with the utmost professionalism and care. I felt comfortable each time that I have visited the office and the follow up call from Dr. Calender is something that I have not experienced with any other medical professional. The entire staff takes time to know you personally and it really makes a difference in the comfort level I feel when visiting the dentist. I was recommended here by my coworker. Everyone was great and so helpful. I had to get recommended to an oral surgeon due to my gums by my wisdom teeth being swollen. The staff even told me of a food place to go so I could eat without causing teeth pain. I will be back after my surgery to get more work done.

What a refreshing experience. I felt safe in a sensitive, caring environment. Everyone was totally professional, yet friendly at the same time. There was no pain or discomfort associated with my experience. It was just an all around healthy appointment. I'm happy to be a new patient.
