I love being an orthodontist and having the ability to create beautiful and healthy smiles for others. Over the years, it has been truly gratifying to watch the transformation of my patients lives once they are able to smile with confidence. I enjoy being able to change lives and contribute back to the community through my profession.

I attended Maryknoll High School and strive each day to uphold the school motto, Noblesse Oblige, To Whom Much is Given, Much is Expected. As team captain of the practice, I make sure we instill these values daily to ensure a team of caring, energetic, and attentive individuals committed to serving others. Find me on , Yelp, and Facebook!

I a member of the Hawaii Dental Forum, which is a local affiliate of the renowned Seattle Study Club organization, and a participant in Oahu Professional Dental Seminars. I enjoy being knowledgeable about the changes in orthodontics and interdisciplinary orthodontic treatment, and look forward to working with other dental professionals to help patients achieve their goals for a beautiful, healthy smile.

I am a Honolulu native and proud to live, work, and raise my family in this wonderful community. My husband Randy is a general practitioner, and we have been blessed with three wonderful children. I am a huge sports fan, so you can often find me supporting many local school sporting events as well as our own University of Hawaii Warriors.

I am passionate about my career as an orthodontist and love sharing my knowledge with others. I enjoy volunteering at schools and giving presentations about orthodontics as a career, and I serve as a professional mentor for several high-school career shadowing programs.

I also enjoy supporting many of the youth sports programs in our community, as well the Special Olympics. I am a strong believer in the health benefits and life lessons that sports programs can provide our youth.

As an orthodontist, my goal is to create smiles that are both beautiful and healthy. As patients progress through treatment, they become so excited about the improvement in their appearance. I am honored to witness their personal transformation as their new smile brings them enhanced self-esteem and self-confidence. Since Im a former orthodontic patient myself, I understand the power of a transformed smile and I am privileged to have the ability to pass on such a gift.

Our team enjoys creating beautiful smiles, but we also enjoy having fun while we do it! The patients that come through our office become a part of our orthodontic family. We are fortunate to have patients who share their lives with us and have an appreciation for an office that strives to be fun and inviting, with high-quality orthodontic care and exceptional service.

Continuing education plays a vital role in enabling me to provide patients with the most advanced and current techniques available. As our profession continues to grow, research allows for improvements in orthodontic materials and treatment modalities that result in enhanced quality of care. I am proud to say that I participate in continuing education regularly through various seminars, both here in Hawaii and in the continental United States.

I feel so fortunate to live and work in the wonderful community where I grew up. I was raised by loving parents who gave my brother and me every opportunity to reach for our goals and achieve a higher education. My younger brother, Jayson, works as a financial advisor for Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Chicago.

We have had many pets growing up and currently live with three dogs: Kaizo, Sofie, and Zoe. My husband Jared is an anesthesiologist with Physicians Anesthesia Services, Inc., which serves three major hospitals on Oahu. When Im not in the office creating beautiful smiles, I enjoy hiking, exercising, and discovering new restaurants to eat at!

Dr. Tammy Chang-Motooka and extremely friendly staff make you feel welcome and at ease. At first glance when you enter the establishment you may get the idea that Kunia Ortho provides services to children only, but they offer so many state-of-the-art adult services as well: Invisalign, braces, etc. Very cool and innovative 3-D scanning of your mouth/teeth. Definitely worth making an appointment to bolster your dental health; noteworthy/convenient appointment reminders/communications. Follow up care is outstanding, ensuring progress and positive results. Cleanliness: very sanitary patient environment and staff. Payment forms accepted: CareCredit, Credit Card, online payments, etc. Parking: free, plenty of in-front parking, as well as multiple parking lots nearby. Location: convenient location right off the freeway in Kunia Shopping Center, also they have another location in Honolulu for the Townies.
