Dr. Townsend has been providing outstanding dental care services since 1985. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Florida and his Doctorate from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. In order to stay up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of dentistry, he maintains active memberships with the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Northeast District Dental Association, the Beaches Study Club, the North Florida Implant Continuum, the Dawson Academy Alumni Association, the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and the OKU National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Townsend is a Jacksonville native. He and his wife, Joy, have been married since 1981 and have two sons, Eric Jr. and Jared. Dr. Townsend volunteers his time to mission organizations that provide dental care to underprivileged children in Mexico and Romania. Outside the office, he enjoys boating, fishing, woodworking and is an avid Florida Gators Football Fan!
Dr. Harth enjoys outdoor activities with his family. He has a passion for life and it shows in the way he treats his patients, family, and friends. He takes great pride in developing trusting relationships with his patients. He considers it a blessing to be able to help people and has volunteered his services to the less fortunate from here to the Dominican Republic. He also volunteers his time at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, helping dental students learn to make ethical decisions when taking care of their patients.
Dr. Harth grew up in Jacksonville Beach and attended Stanton College Preparatory School, where he earned the International Baccalaureate Diploma. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Microbiology, he returned to Stanton where he taught chemistry and physics before attending dental school at the University of Florida. Since dental school, Dr. Harth has completed thousands of hours of continuing education. His thirst and enthusiasm for learning is evident in his cutting edge approach to care.
Dr. Harth has earned his Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. This award is achieved by less than 1% of dentists. The Mastership is awarded for completion of an intense course of continuing education that involves hands-on training in all types of dentistry. He has also earned his Mastership from the International College of Oral Implantologists. This award is also achieved by less than 1% of dentists. The mastership in the ICOI is based on completing a rigorous course of study as well as evaluation of implant cases performed by the doctor. Additionally, he has been rewarded with the Outstanding Young Alumnusfrom the University of Florida and an Ethics Award, from the American College of Dentists.

We take our responsibility to deliver the best care possible very seriously. While most people recognize that there are varying qualities of cars, clothes, and restaurants, they dont realize the same is true for crowns, dentures, implants, and fillings. Quality dental treatment, like a nice pair of shoes, lasts longer, feels better, and looks great. While one part of quality dental treatment stems from a dentists training and desire to render excellent care, there are several other factors that are equally important. Doing the best work requires using the best materials, engaging in the best training, and never compromising on what is best for the patient.

Put it this way, in a world where mediocre customer care feels good and good customer care feels great. PVCD and Dr. Harth go above and beyond to bring back extraordinary customer care as a standard. I can't even attempt here in one small review to sum up how amazing Dr. Harth and the staff at PVCD truly are. The compassion and understanding Dr. Harth has for his patients is impeccable, you won't find another Dentist that has a better bedside manner than he does. No matter what your situation is. For my specific situation, I had went somewhere else to have major reconstruction work done because sadly it was the only option that I could afford at the time. Unfortunately, I got exactly what I paid for-the bare minimum. Across the board it was a horrible experience. BUT here's what matters-Although, I didn't get this work done At PVCD, Dr. Harth is who I called when dealing with the aftermath of my unfortunate circumstances. They got me in to be seen immediately. Right from the start, undoubtedly shown me nothing but grace and support, he didn't give me any grief that I went somewhere else like most would do. This office has been an absolute godsend. Fixing me up and leading me in the right direction- knowing exactly what my options are moving forward. The support and kindness I've received from this office has literally made all the difference in the world for me and my situation- can't express how grateful I truly am. Stop your search-PVCD is the only place to go-period.

Dr. Harth is the absolute best w/the best staff. They are so personable, know your name, kids names and keep up w/you as if they were your best friends. They listen to your concerns, evaluate the situation and have a solution for you no matter what. This family of 5 actually loves going to visit the dentist, yes even my kids, you can't beat that!
